CONSTRUCTION: Kratos/ESCO harness compatible for quick installation. Solid-state construction with EPROM chips provides unique software control. RELIABILITY: All controls are laid out in a logical manner reducing the chance of inadvertent settings. The display is a clear digital readout allowing direct and precise setting of underload/overload parameters and readout of all individual phase currents. A.C.T. ration switch allows direct readout of actual running motor amps.

VORTEX MOTOR CONTROLLER, VMC-100: Protects the motor from a wide variety of downhole and power problems, and gives the operator important present and historical well data. VORTEX DISPLAY, VMC-101: Allows the operator to read and adjust all readings and set points on the Vortex Motor Controller. MONITORING SOFTWARE PACKAGE: Allows an operator in a central office to monitor several ESPs and other facilities in the field. BACKSPIN / GROUND FAULT RELAY: Prevents starting of the ESP when the pump is backspinning due to fluid draining from the tubing. Also alarms or shuts down the pump if one phase of the cable short-circuits to ground. RADIO MODEM / POWER SUPPLY: interfaces a Vortex to a central computer. The Modem converts digital information into tones, which can be transmitted by radio. The Power Supply provides the DC power required to operate the radio.
