Quotes from former Leaders and Associates (Performance Reviews, anonymous 360 reviews, letters)

“A quotation in a speech, article, letter, or note is like a rifle in the hands of an infantryman. It speaks with authority."

Former CEO: "Your commitment to collaboration and ability to solicit ideas, coupled with your endless source of new ideas, is building a great balance between accountability and empowerment within your team."

Former Vice President(s) of Operations: "Bill's outstanding contribution to the organization is his willingness and desire to build a

better mouse trap and then share that knowledge with his colleagues. this characteristic benefits all at the University as other campuses embrace what he initiates and then build onto it to further enhance a process.

He delivers a can-do attitude in every aspect of the job. Most impressive increased the student satisfaction with the University from 77% to 95%.

Bill is very focused on effective and efficient operations. Bill is a self-starter and is constantly looking for opportunities to improve his campus and

his colleagues. He strives to drive improvement wherever he identifies a need. Bill can always be relied upon to complete tasks on time, extremely organized. This past year’s results have been outstanding. Bill is a quality leader and has done a

good job raising the level of accountability of his teams. He regularly verbalizes the goals and objectives and stresses the importance of results.

Former Faculty: "Mr. Brittain always acted in the best interest of the University. He had

an open-door policy for all: staff, faculty, and students, and encouraged everyone to actively participate in the University’s work. He was a good “sounding board” for faculty, and “smoothed over” grievances to keep the school running smoothly.”

Former Direct Reports

"It is rare to see the combination of entrepreneurial spirit, leadership ability, and spirit of genuine and compassionate accountability in one person.

"In a very short period, your tenacity and mindset for process improvement was instrumental in developing a culture around which all could rally!"

His commitment to the students, the university, and the passion for everything. Nothing and no one is insignificant. He has high expectations of customer service and challenges the team to think outside the box to meet those expectations.”

Former Student: "It is not often that you find a person that can multi-task with the grace

and tenacity that I witnessed Bill as I was studying at the school. His ability to work collaboratively while dealing with students and academic issues was quite impressive."

“The most vital task of the leader is to motivate, inspire, empower and encourage the team's primary resource-the unlimited, creative human potential to find better ways”

LIST OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS CREDITS: It is important to recognize my accomplishments would not have been fully achieved without the benefits of building, encouraging, and experiencing the quality work and talents of my teams!

WORK

The following are some of the significant accomplishments.

ASSESSMENT – BENCH STRENGTH TOOLS

Campus was experiencing extreme variation relative to instructor performance without any objective tools to professionally address. I developed a tool that would address education team members across 7 different categories with 4 ranking levels forcing an effective ranking. Team was able to clearly and objectively separate the low performers and the high performers from the “ballast” (valuable and steady workers). We were able to identify the potential next leaders. Having identified sub-performers we were able to create development coaching plans to provide them the skills necessary to become the “best of the best” instructors.

Developed supporting documents defining each ranking (1,3,5,7) as well as the behaviors and attributes in each category for each education group from managers, team leaders, to instructors.

QUALITY CONTROL AND PROFESSIONALISM Implemented critical quality

control procedures to ensure compliance

Implemented multiple enhancements to student communications

Developed upgraded

Campus mapping and marketing presentation

Became a model for other

campuses to adopt.

Campus experienced quality education, but document control was lacking, campus appearance did not reflect excitement and was not commensurate with the quality of the education. Improved signage across the campus, enhance the promotion of student activities through cost effective displays, increased electronic communication displays of events, calendar, school schedule, and was recognized by the owner as the campus with the best presentation. “Don't waste life in doubts and fears; spend yourself on the work before you, well assured that the right performance of this hour's duties will be the best preparation for the hours and ages that will follow it.” Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Facing increasing challenges funding enrolled students due to the economic environment recognized the need for increased knowledge for the students regarding cosigner information. The assumption was if potential cosigners had adequate information it would increase the likelihood of the student obtaining one or more cosigners. The campus’s document was provided to marketing who created a glossy publication to be used by Financial Aid across all campuses. STANDARDIZED ORIENTATION

Recognizing the need for a streamlined orientation that presents a professional image while being concise and not boring the team extensively revised the format and utilized the newly branded template. The speaking portions were subdivided across an expanded list of leaders to eliminate monotony, increase state changes, and allow for employee development and growth. The quality of the final work was recognized by the V.P. of Academic Affairs, “I think this is a great example for the other campuses to follow and definitely the direction I would like to see implemented!” “Don't waste life in doubts and fears; spend yourself on the work before you, well assured that the right performance of this hour's duties will be the best preparation for the hours and ages that will follow it.” Ralph Waldo Emerson.
