Present Passive Here is an active verb in the present simple:

When the action itself is more important than the person doing it, we use the passive. (Когато действието е по-важно от вършителя, използваме страдателен залог)

When we make an active sentence passive, the object becomes subject.

Present Passive

The flowers are watered every morning.

Цветята се поливат всяка сутрин.

The verb ‘to be’ is plural in this sentence to agree

with ‘flowers’.

Make the verb ‘to be’ negative in the usual

way.

‘by …’ may not be necessary. If it’s not

important, leave it out.

‘The flowers are not watered by you every morning.’

But ... You don’t water the flowers every morning.’

The flowers are watered every morning.
