For example, we should be honest in all exams. If we cheat in an exam, we are not cheating our teachers but cheating ourselves. And once you caught that you are dishonest, everyone would look down upon you. Wouldn't it?

• Well known is the story of a little shepherd who cheated the villagers again and again by crying out "the wolf is coming" ending up being swallowed when the wolf really came.

• A naughty boy, Washington, cut down his father’s favorite cherry tree by accident. Instead of making up lies like other kids, he admitted his fault bravely, ready to receive any punishment. However, much to his surprise, he gained his father’s forgiveness without punishment simply because of his honesty . Years later, he became President of America. Honesty may not be the only reason for his success, but it does matter.

• As for us, we are not supposed to forget what parents taught us, and it’s time to reflect on the true meaning of the word “honesty”. It’s the bravery to take up responsibilities for our fault, the frankness to share our inner feelings with others, and the confidence to directly face ourselves.

• I’m quite in favor of this quote. From my perspective, honesty is just what it takes to make a person succeed and to build a harmonious society. It’s essential for us to be sincere and honest enough to communicate more deeply with others. Also, honesty is a real treasure for us in the life time, for it benefits us a lot and makes us who we are.

• For example. Once upon a time, there was a boy looking after sheep in the mountain. Out of fun, he yelled out “Wolves are coming”. Hearing that, villagers came up to do him a favor. • I can’t agree more with this point of view. Honesty can always make a person popular and happy. But if you tell a lie and people find it out, you are likely to end up with many negative consequences. You can’t be trusted again and you will feel sorry all the time.

• Take myself for example. I brought in a cheat sheet during the last exam and luckily I didn’t get caught. This, however, didn’t mean I had gotten away with that. I felt that everybody gave me a disgusted look when the result was announced. How ashamed I was and finally I confessed to the teacher.

• Now I know that being dishonest simply make life more difficult and that honesty is the best policy.

At the beginning, the leader of the company denied and refused to pay for its fault. As the situation grew more and more stressful, surprisingly, the leader admitted the fact. And the organization was moved by his honesty. Hence, they began an enduring cooperation and made far more profits than before.
