Jamaican sprinter, a six-time Olympic medalist and eight-time world champion. During performances he set up 8 world records. He set up a world record in 100 (9.58 seconds; Berlin, 2009) and 200 meters (19.19 seconds, Berlin, 2009), as well as in the relay 4 × 100 meters as a member of the national team of Jamaica (36.84 seconds, London, 2012).
