What is a social enterprise? • A social enterprise is a business that wants to find a way to

resolve society’s problems using finances, business management, as well as qualitative, and quantitative results.

• Blind Massage Clinics are considered social enterprises: they employ blind people to the manual labour at the clinics.

• Blind massage partnerships are clean, stable, and approved by the local government. They use their disability as an ABILITY to make a difference.

Does China have any social enterprises?• China is just beginning to have some, we will look at three

today:

• Guangyuan: Alishan, Taiwan• CANYOU: Shenzhen, Guangdong • Landwasher: Jiedi, Hebei
