WAK JAPAN was founded in 1997, specializing in introducing Japanese culture to visitors from abroad. It is a Japanese Cultural Experience Center offering a range of activities for a variety of people.

Kyoto-Washin-kan is near Kyo-to Station, in an area with old houses, Kyoto National Museum, and Toyokuni-jinja Shrine, with its impressive stone wall that has remained intact to this day.

Kyoto Washin-kan was rebuilt to be accessible to people with disabilities.

We produce origami objets d'art in association with PASSIONE, an NPO organization to support employment for patients with intractable diseases.

We also understand and respect diverse cultures.

Using plenty of locally produced vegetables, Obanzai is home cooking that could only come from Kyoto.

Kimonos are traditional Japanese clothing, popular around the world. Wak Japan provides a variety of opportunities to dress up in a kimono, with a wide range of kimonos for everyday wear as well as for formal par-ties.

Photography by a professional at a non-public area in a temple is also available.
