The study physical of soil: EIS Program M.2/1

Why soil is importance?

Soil is linked to everything around us and performs many important roles in sustaining life on Earth. Soil plays tree key roles: 1. Providing the basis for food and biomass production 2. Controlling and regulating environmental interactions- regulating water flow and quality 3. Storing carbon and maintaining the balance of gases in the air.

The Equipments and Materials:

Soil, thermometer, litmus paper, universal indicator and beaker

Methods:

1. Collect the sample of soil around the school. (8 areas) 2. Observing physical of soil: (1) color (2) component (humus, living things, sand, gravel, branch, stone etc. 3. Measuring moisture of the sample with Thermometer. 4. Measuring the pH value with litmus paper. 5 Molding the sample to line. 6. Analysis the physical of soil: Compare result of experiment each groups.

Methods:

Conclusions:

The soil of each area has difference physical properties, depended on the composition of the soil as humus and mineral soil.
