No way is impossible to courage

According to a survey newly conducted by national physical department, the number of the people who suffer from frustration has increased to 30 percent. Furthermore, during the last decade, we college students not only have difficulties in handling relations with our schoolwork, our communications, and our lovers, but also areas which recently appeared and developed, such as, the unemployment and the internet. What's worse, we sometimes even have the tendency to risk our lives and others' security.

Considering all the unpleasant consequences frustrations might cause, you may wonder what we should do to protect us from being affected. Psychologists suggest that all what we need is to let your courage take its effect. As what Ingersoll once said, ＂ whether a person can survive throughout frustrations is the greatest test of your courage. ＂ setbacks should not be the very thing that affect us, whether we possess the divine courage to fight against them is the one. And here a series of examples can be presented:

What if Stephen Hawking killed himself when being announced that he had only 2 years to live? Can he gain such fantastic achievement on physics? I'm afraid not.

Ladies and Gentlemen: Good afternoon! It’s great to see your friendly faces. I’m lucky to stand here to share my top concern: How to make myself being employable.Nowadays,with the development of market economy,the employment of college graduates is becoming more and more serious. As me undergraduate, I have to face this serious situation, However, I think I still have several active actors to deal with it. To start with, in my view, the best way to make myself employable after university is to keep myself busily employed .That doesn’t mean I have to have a paid job,although it helps,since employers always feel happier if they are taking a trusted employee away from somebody else. It is a necessity for me to know how what I do increases my employment value and provide the proof. This means keeping records of what I have done and thinking about the skills so that I can pull them out for an interview. To do all these, I deeply know I need to get organized early. From now on, start indentifying possible employment avenues .

I think I can do what I want

Family is my top concern

When I have this topic :”What is your top concern?” I choose family without hesitate. At this age, people may think me as a child who can't leave parents, but why do I need to leave them.

I'm a college student now, I leave far away from home studing in another city. This is the first time I don't live with my parents since I was born. I miss them very much, and this feeling will not be reduced after a year of college life. Everytime I go back home, my parents would catch me up from the station, and they have already prepared various of delicious food for me. And then they talk with me , see the movie with me, go shopping with me. It is so comfortable to stay at home that I want to stay longer before I return to school, may be it is just only one hour. But my parents don't agree with that, so I ask them :”Why?” The answer is :”It is dangerous for a girl to go back when it's dark.”

Last time I went back home, I asked my mom a question :”Mom, my staying at home or not, which one do you prefer?” After a long silence, mom said :”Although I prefer you to stay at home rather than go out, it is better for you to grow up when you leave me.” The next second, I hugged my mom and said :”I love you , mom.”

Go for it

We are living in a country which CPI’s year-to-year growth rate is about or even more than 5% these years. You take a few dozen yuan to go to market so that you can satisfy the needs for a family’s weekly life several years ago, but nowadays 100 or even more is needed. Here comes winter, a high-quality coat which could be available in several hundred yuan now may cost you a few thousand yuan to possess it.

You must have noticed these changes in your daily life, and you must have found that the money in your pocket has been gradually losing its value. Our expenses have gone up, our income is falling, and our investments have lost half their value. In fact, almost everything that could go wrong has gone wrong. And you need to know that, it’s the representation of the inflation.

Just be yourself

When we were children, we were educated to be honest. In our mind, if we were honest enough to others, others would be honest to us. However, when we grow up, the reality is out of our imagination. People are not honest as we think. On the contrary, we often confront confidence crisis such as cheating, overcharging, fake commodities and so on. In a word, Social honesty has been destroyed.It is true that most of us value honesty highly. And almost everyone knows the importance of honesty, but not everyone can follow it. Maybe you will wonder why so many people lose trust when they know the importance of honesty. I think there are three main reasons. Firstly, more and more people are driven by desire so that they are only care for their own benefit. Secondly, moral education is so superficial. People can not understand moral including honesty deeply. So there is no doubt that people can’t keep honesty in mind when they do things. Thirdly, our law is not strong. It doesn’t fight against the people who lose trust effectively.

Never give up，and you will be the best

Ladies and gentleman, The topic of my speech is Poverty Is My Concern.. “I ‘m hungry. Please give me something to eat.” a child begged for a journalist from a wealthy country.’ “OK! I will give you the food, but at first I want to take a photo.” he said. So he made a record about the process of a child dying from hungry. Then his pictures got the first prize in a competition and he became famous overnight. To me, the picture not only presents “an unforgettable scene”, but also acts as a timeless reminder that it’s time for us to take some measures to fight against poverty and we should not purse beauty or prize at the cost of a child’s life. Today, we live in a world of prosperity, but still threatened by poverty. On the one hand, people in wealthy countries enjoy the abundance of food, the convenience of modern transportation, the pleasure of fashionable entertainment. On the other hand, so many people in poor area face the shortage of food, water, clothes and even shelter to live.

Everything will be ok

Everyday when the first moonlight comes into my window, I always ask myself: what have I done today? Do I finish my task and reach my goal? Such questions often give me an exact estimate on my one-day life. Today is my top concern, because we just can work hard today to get a good tomorrow. As a normal man, neither can I expect tomorrow’s happenings ,nor can I go back to yesterday. All I could do is seize today’s chance to really do something from now on. Life is just like a piece of creative art work, we dream of the future, and do what we need to do in today to get it. Most of us would take it for granted that we still have so many years in the life accounts to consume. This thought as well stayed in my mind until I saw the movie 2012. Seeing so many devastating disasters happening one after another, I was really shocked. All of this compels us to think what attitude we should take to our transient life.One philosopher once remarked that we only have 3 days in our lifetime, yesterday, today and tomorrow. People who live in the past are puzzled, who live in the future are waiting, only those who live in the present are steady and sure.

Good evening,Ladies and gentlemen. Today my topic is Manners of Young People are My Top Concern.Last Sunday, I went to the downtown by bus, There were too many people on the bus and no seat left. An old man got on the bus and looked around .However, a group of young boys just seated there, ignored that silver-haired man standing next to them.This kind of scene happens very often in public places. Young people ignore the old, the disabled, and the pregnant women deliberately. They refuse to offer any help to those disadvantaged people who are in need. What’s worse, some young people litter and spit here and there, some even smoke and say dirty words.Should young people be obliged to give our seats to the elderly on a crowded bus? Should we pass the road after the light turning green? Should we queue in line when ordering dishes in the canteen?The answer is “YES”

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen!What’s the weather like today？”In the past, my grandma might say it was sunny and windless. But now, I may say , “ Morning is cold and windy, and afternoon is warm . At night, it’s bitterly cold.” This is why weather is my top concern.Weather changes because of global warming, and it becomes warmer and warmer. Some flowers bloom earlier than before, and warm weather is an essential aspect to influence the date of first bloom. Just imagine , one day, you’ll never see narcissus in winter!Besides plants , animals are also influenced by weather change. The hot summer leads to the rapid increasing of mosquitoes. Mosquitoes transmit many epidemics such as SARS and malaria.Not only plants and animals, but also humanbeing is influenced by weather change. In 2010, there are nearly 300 people including 220 old people died during the heat sweeping India. The highest temperature reached 50 C. How can we stand such high temperature!

As we all know, wildlife in its natural setting, benefits society in a variety of ways, especially for medical use. Records have shown that over history, wild animals and plants are particularly exploited for the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), even from the Han Dynasty. However, now, we have to ask how long this wildlife will continue to meet us human’s need. The cruel fact is that in no more than a century’s time, the animals’ population fell from millions in the early 20th century to 90,000 in 1997. Such alarming numbers do not merely represent people’s ancient medicine-making traditions, but also human’s new aspiration—to obtain high profits from nature. And it is this new aspiration that leads people to take the risk of doing illegal wildlife trading. Usually, everything is owed to economic reasons. In my opinion, for this problem, the global consumer culture is the first to blame. It’s the rich’s desire to eat what they think nutrition and even to show off their wealth by using wildlife products that gives illegal wildlife trading a chance. And the direct result is that every year, there are frightening amounts of pangolins taken as meals and luxurious tiger products being made.

Ladies and gentleman, when you are still sinking in the dream of our country’s vast territory and abundant resources, don’t forget to care for your living habit—eating habit and dressing habit. I believe that by working together, someday there will again be a world where wildlife can live harmoniously with us human beings! Thank you!

Keep moving

Independence is my top concern

If you ask some parents, “What is the biggest problem with your kids?” Most of the answers you are given will be something like “I hope my child can be more independent.” When we were kids, we completely rely on our parents. Also in primary or high school, we didn’t have any experiences; we were too young to face very complex society by ourselves. As for parents in China, they have too many requirements for kids, so kids can’t have their free time which is controlled by themselves. However, when we enter the college, we are far away from our parents, we try to learn how to be independent. Many things have to be decided by ourselves. But, in my eyes independence is not blind. Some students pay more attention to entertainment and relaxation, they spend most of their time on fun even be absent from classes. Actually, it’s a waste of time, it is not a kind of behavior of independence. Work hard to have good results, play with friends to have fun; we should make a balance between them. Maybe it’s a test for us.
