ประเด็นการลงทุน: หลังจากที่เราจดัโรดโชวในประเทศเม่ือวันที่ 22 ก.พ.ที่ผานมารวมกับผูบรหิารของ THCOM เรามีมุมมองเชงิบวกมากขึ้นตอแนวโนมของการฟนตัวของกําไรสุทธิในป 2555 ภารกิจหลกัอันแรกของผูบริหารในปน้ีไดแก การพลิกฟนใหเปนกําไรสทุธิ ซึ่งการฟนตัวดังกลาวจะไดรับแรงหนนุจากการเพิ่มข้ึนของอัตราการเชาใชชองสัญญาณของไอพีสตารโดยเฉพาะอยางยิ่งในประเทศจนี และการขายเงินลงทุนในเอม็โฟน สวนการเติบโตของกําไรสทุธิในป 2556-58 จะมาจากการยิงดาวเทยีมดวงใหมไดแก ไทยคม 6 (ในครึ่งหลังของป 2556) ไทยคม 7 (ในป 2557) และไทยคม 8 และ 9 (ในป 2558) เรายังคงคําแนะนํา ซื้อ จากเหตผุลไดแก การพลิกฟนเปนกําไรสทุธิในป 2555 และราคาหุน ณ ปจจุบันทีย่ังคงถูก โดยอัตราสวน P/BV ป 2555 อยูเพียงแค 1.1 เทา
มูลคาสัญญาดาวเทียมแบบดั้งเดิม 80 ลานเหรียญจะรบัรูเปนรายไดในป 2555: ผูบรหิารตั้งเปารายไดจากดาวเทียมแบบดั้งเดิมเพ่ิมข้ึน 7-8% จากดาวเทียมไทยคม 5 ซึ่งหนุนโดย: 1) สัญญาทีจ่ะรับรูเปนรายไดในป 2555 ซึ่งมีมูลคา 80 ลานดอลลาร (ซึ่งใกลเคียงกับรายไดดาวเทียมแบบดั้งเดิมในป 2554), 2) จํานวนชองสัญญาณที่จะเพ่ิมข้ึนอีก 10-20 ชองเนื่องจากการใชเทคโนโลยีการบีบอัดชองสญัญาณและ 3) การเนนใหบริการที่มีมูลคาเพ่ิมมากขึ้น โดยมูลคารายไดดาวเทียมแบบดั้งเดิมในมือที่ยังไมรับรูเปนรายไดทั้งสิน้อยูที่ 400 ลานเหรยีญ
การตัดขายเอ็มโฟนถือเปนอัพไซดตอกําไรสุทธิป 2555: หาก THCOM ทําการขายเอ็มโฟนจะสงผลใหกําไรรวมปรับตัวดีข้ึน ทั้งนี้บริษัทไดรับรูผลขาดทุนสุทธิจากการถือหุนโดยทางออมในเอ็มโฟนสัดสวน 51% จํานวน 260 ลานบาทในชวงครึ่งหลังของป 2554 ถึงแมวาการขายเอ็มโฟนออกไปจะเปนการขายแบบขาดทุน (ซึ่งนาจะเปนไปไดมากที่สุด) เราก็ยังคงคิดวา THCOM ควรจะตัดขายเอ็มโฟนออกไป ซึ่งผลขาดทุนจากการขายจะสงผลกระทบเพียงครั้งเดียวตองบกําไรขาดทุนรวมของ THCOM แตผลที่ตามมาไดแก กําไรสุทธิรวมของ THCOM จะปรับตัวดีข้ึนอยางมีนัยสําคัญในอนาคต นอกจากนี้ THCOM อาจสามารถใชผลขาดทุนจากการขายเงินลงทุนในครั้งนี้กลับมาเปนสวนลดหยอนภาษี (tax shield) ไดในอนาคต
Company profile Thaicom (THCOM) is Thailand’s only satellite operator. It also has business interests in Internet (CSL), yellow pages TeleInfomedia (TMC) and mobile and fixed-line telecoms (51% stake in Shenington). Satellites currently in service include Thaicom 4 (IPSTAR) and Thaicom 5. Thaicom 5 was launched into orbit on May 28, 2006. Its service currently covers various countries—Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, China, the Philippines and Malaysia. China, Australia, Japan and Malaysia will be the prime markets, going forward.

ไทยคม 6 จะถึงจุดคุมทุนทันทีที่ยิงขึ้นสูวงโคจร: ไทยคม 6 ตั้งเปาที่จะมีอัตราการจองซื้อชองสัญญาณลวงหนา 30% ของจํานวนชองสัญญาณทั้งหมดของไทยคม 6 (หรือคิดเปนจํานวน 8 ชองสัญญาณ) บริษัทไดทําการใหเชาชองสัญญาณของไทยคม 6 ไปแลว 2 ชองสัญญาณใหกับ PSI Holding Co Ltd ในเดือนก.ย. 2553
