Andrew Draper-Process Prior Authorization requests for multiple health plans, insurance carriers, employers, and other contracted organizations.

-Monitor and implement changes to existing/new benefit designs-Coordinate prior authorization guidelines and plan benefit requirements with outside entities (including providers) as required-Remain current with new drug approvals and indications.

-Review first-level appeals for medical necessity and appropriateness.

Jun. 2009 to October 2015 Assistant Professor, Pharmacy Practice Roseman University ofCoordinator, Introductory Pharmacy Health Sciences Practice Experience (IPPE) South Jordan UT Campus

-Directed IPPE program for over 220 P1 and P2 students at student rotations-Co-developed, coordinated, and executed school’s first-ever Professionalism day with P1Class, Admissions Office, and Pharmacy District Managers from around the state.-Co-created, planned, and carried out school’s first week-long IPPE rotation block for P1students at their community rotation sites.

-This included use of daily task logs and a reflection paper.-Implemented new data collection forms for P1 and P2 student use on rotation to quantifyactivities students are doing on rotation

-I used the data to counsel both specific students and the class generally to helpimprove their rotation experience and APPE rotation preparation.

-Coordinated community rotation placements with 16 district/regional managers of pharmacy chains in addition to numerous independent pharmacies-Coordinated institutional rotations with 40 institutional pharmacy directors/sites-Reviewed thousands of experiential assessment forms and made approximately 100 direct contacts with students during 2014-2015 year so far. (This is a more than two-fold increase from 2013-14 complete academic year.) -Overhauled 6 IPPE assignments given to students longitudinally during academic year-Graded hundreds of SOAP notes submitted as assignments by students on rotations-Collaborated on research comparing the effectiveness of the current IPPE-Summer institutional rotations with the previous institutional rotation format.-I visited 113 pharmacy sites during the past calendar year, surpassing my goal of 75 visits.

-Facilitated Pharmacy Communication/Self-Care Therapeutic (PHAR 442)-Co-designed and presented course’s most comprehensive subject (Cough/Cold/Allergy)using a flipped classroom design--Reviewed each classroom day’s materials for the course of the academic year, and updated content and classroom activities -Designed ongoing discussion about the 3 Ps of professional success and currentevents about OTC products as new components of the course structure.-I regularly addressed and provided resources to students with language deficiencies

(English as a second language, stuttering) to help them improve both their didactic andexperiential learning.-Developed comprehensive Self Care Formularies with all 110 students for rotation use-Introduced students to APhA Career Pathways program at beginning of P1 year-Required three presentations to class members on different topics throughout each year

-Facilitated First-Year Top 200 (PHAR 471) course-Oversaw transition of PHAR 471 course to a passing rate of 90%

-Instructed in Pharmaceutical Calculations (PHAR 450) course -Served as faculty mentor for seven P1 students in the Continuing Professional Development (PHAR 495) course

-Met with students in groups (and individually as required) to guide them in their personaldevelopment -Graded reflection papers and career goals.

-Helped instruct annually the APhA immunizations certification course for P1 students.-Facilitated Second-Year Top 200 (PHAR 550) course for 110 P2 students

-Oversaw transition of PHAR 550 course to a passing rate of 90%-Served as member of the ACPE Self-Study Curriculum committee

-Wrote narrative for standards 12 and 14 of the self-study-Coordinated feedback from all members of the experiential team for inclusion

-Student chapter placed in the Top 10 nationwide for the first time ever.-Helped to coordinated joint Roseman University/University of Utah 5K/Health Fair

Eventfor the first time since I’ve been faculty advisor.-Assisted another student to receive the NCPA Presidential Scholarship-Encouraged and helped two students apply for the national Student Leadership Council-Grew student membership to over 60 members, the most ever in this chapter-Worked to update chapter bylaws and affiliation agreement-Initiated new student leaders training program where P1 students learn their roles theywill play in the P2 year.

-Worked with the experiential team toward pilot testing a new experiential management softwaresystem by providing feedback and expertise.

-Participated in Roseman’s first-annual Research Symposium in December 2014-Arranged a inter-organizational Health Screening Training for students in October 2014

-Plans are to make this training an annual event with the Smith’s pharmacy resident-Coordinated the PHAR 442/450/471/495/550 block calendars with block coordinators to ensure

most effective use of time of both students and faculty members.
