Zeus (Ancient Greek: Ζεύς; Modern Greek: Δίας) was the sky and thunder god, who ruled as king of the gods on Mount Olympus. He is often symbol-ised by an eagle. Zeus (Roman equivalent: Jupiter) was married to his sister Hera (Roman equivalent: Juno). On this card we see him as guardian of the Panhellenic Games at Olympia.There used to be a giant seated figure, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, about 13 meters tall, made around 435 BC at Ancient Olympia, Greece. It was in-stalled inside the Temple of Zeus and it was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The statue was crowned with a wreath of olive sprays and in one hand was hold a small statue of Nike (Roman equivalent: Victoria), goddess of victory.

He spoke, the son of Cronos, and nodded his head with the dark brows,and the immortally anointed hair of the great god swept from his divine head, and all Olympos was shaken.Iliad, I, 528-530

about air plantsAirplants are members of the same family as pine-apples. They don‘t use their roots to take nutrients from the soil. So they don‘t need soil – just air, love, light and water! They like swinging within the air, even upside down in your livingroom or outside during summertime!

taking care of my air plant

Their little pores absorb water, so we spray them every 2nd day with soft wa-ter (for example rain or filtered water), or we dip them twice a week into water for a few minutes. Don’t water them too late, they should not be wet at night. The lime of hard water can close the pores and the airplant will dry out. They like a lot of light every day but not many hours of direct sunshine on hot summerdays.

Τα φυτά παραδίδονται μαζί με τις κερα-μικές γλάστρες μέσα σε χαρτοκιβώτιο ασφαλείας. Το κουτί θα πρέπει να ανοι-χτεί άμεσα ώστε τα φυτά να αεριστούν και να πάρουν το απαραίτητο φως. Διαλέξτε ένα φωτεινό μέρος για να τα κρεμάσετε. Μην τα τοποθετήσετε σε σκο-τεινό σημείο πάνω από δύο ημέρες.Κάθε φυτό συνοδεύτεται από φυλλάδιο με οδηγίες.

The plants will be delivered together with the ceramic planters inside a cardboard box. The box should be open up immedi-ately, so that the plants get air & light. You should find a nice place in order to hang them. Don’t store them in any dark room for more than 2 days. Each plant comes together with a small leaflet with care in-structions.

Οι μικροί πόροι των airplants απορροφούν νερό, έτσι χρειάζεται να τα ψεκάζουμε με βρόχινο ή φιλτραρισμένο νερό κάθε δεύτερη ημέρα, εναλλακτικά τα βουτάμε δύο φορές την εβδομάδα σε νερό για λίγα λεπτά. Ποτίζουμε τις πρωϊνές ώρες κα-θώς δεν πρέπει να μένουν βρεγμένα κατά τη διάρκεια της νύχτας. Τα άλατα του νε-ρού βρύσης μπορούν να κλείσουν τους πό-ρους του φυτού και να ξεραθεί. Απορρο-φούν αρκετό φως ημέρας αλλά δεν πρέπει να εκτίθενται άμεσα στο φως του ηλίου, ειδικά τις ζεστές καλοκαιρινές ημέρες.
