1.Before you

leave

(1) DIY a short video about your daily life in order to give Chinese children a chance to know the outside world vividly. It can be how your job work, the process of your going shopping, your city’s traffic situation and so on.

(2) Being prepared of the things you may need when teaching. For example, if you want to introduce your country, a flag may be a good choice.

2.Our

Team

(1) After interviewed, you and a Chinese volunteer will design your subject together. You can have online meeting to discuss the details.

(2) You can also meet other volunteers in a Wechat or Skype group, to communicate with them in order to make the whole teaching process successful.

3.In China (1) First week in China, you will attend a welcoming party and

accept some training about teaching, communicating and organizing skills.

(2) In week 2-4, you will be teaching in 2 schools, 2 weeks for each. During teaching you can live in dormitory or local family.

(3) In week 5, we will have a conclusion and go outings in nearby province.

P.S. The specific schedule will depend on the times for visa from volunteers.

WE AIM TO ACHIEVE-

Target: By 2030, ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development, including, among others, through education for sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles, human rights, gender equality, promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, global citizenship and appreciation of cultural diversity and of culture’s contribution to sustainable development.

To make Chinese children know the real situation in other countries. Not only through websites or textbooks.

To improve students’ English skills especially in expressing their opinions.

To comp up with a better model of volunteer service which are similar to this and make change in primary school’s teaching approaches.

We want more people to know the real China from every aspects.

Heilongjiang province is in the northeast of China. The summer here is cool and comfortable that will provide you a fabulous experience. The capital of Heilongjiang province is Harbin which also called ”Ice City” . This is a fantastic city of beautiful scenes , delicious food and warmhearted people. Besides, the price is low.
