ORIGINSIn 1988, Kevin and Keith Johnson embarked on a journey to the far corners of planet Earth collecting and designing outstanding hats that made everybody laugh. They loved making people smile almost as much as they loved telling stories about their adventures. In 1993, the two brothers created elope (Everybodys Laughing on Planet Earth) to share their love of laughter and style with the world. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITYelope strives to be socially responsible with a company-wide commitment to community service. In addition to the hours our team members put into supporting community organizations, we sponsor key events like the Waldo Waldo 5K and the St. Baldricks Foundation Head-Shaving Fundraiser. Since 2002, our team-organized St. Baldricks events have raised over $1,500,000 to benefit childhood cancer research.

In the event a retailer sells their elope product through a 3rd party online reseller (ex: Amazon.com) & our product is misrepresented or we get customer service complaints, elope reserves the right to stop selling to that retailer immediately.

Elope has adopted a Minimum Advertised Pricing policy on most of our products to support all resellers as well as consumers of elope products. The intention is to protect the value of our brand. MAP pricing benefits both you as the customer & the elope brand as the manufacturer and as a bonus, it helps maintain the integrity of our product. Retailers may sell products for whatever prices they like, however, they must not advertise elope products for less than MAP, as noted on our price list. Elope reserves the right to change our policy by taking products off MAP, changing MAP pricing, or adding new items to MAP. We strictly enforce MAP policy & we will stop doing business with violators. It is the retailers responsibility to be current on our most current MAP prices, which can be found at www.elope.com.
