A / Project background

Introduction

FC Krupa FC Krupa (FK KRUPA –Krupa na Vrbasu) is founded in 1983. A club is located in small town Krupa na Vrbasu, near Banja Luka town in Republika Srpska (RS) entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina. FC Krupa is competing in Second league group “West” of FS RS and is on the second place ranking at the moment (June 2014).

FC Krupa possessed his own stadium with football turf field (artificial turf used to surface a football field) and with grandstands for 1800 seating places out of 750 covered places. Stadium has supporting buildings (dressing rooms, substitute’s benches)

Purpose FC Krupa main objective is to lead the successful development of football in the region by working in partnership with key agencies and stakeholders to provide quality football opportunities for all.

This Concept Paper should be used as a solid start point in searching related strategic business partner, benefactors, stakeholders and future sponsors to having the best possible football club structures providing high quality coaching and development opportunities.

Club Development Project is made as a base for designing all complementary sub projects and other related actions. For each future assigned task adequate terms of reference, design documents and time table should be in accordance with Strategy Plan in this Concept Paper.

As part of this process we established a clear statement of our vision and purpose.



B / Project Description

Football is the world’s most popular sport and has become a very international business today. It is estimated that 250 million people are direct participants of the “global game”, and around 1.4 billion have an interest in it. E.g. English Premier League clubs are playing friendliest in Asia or North America within pre‐season, the “Supercoppa Italiana” takes place in China, matches of the Spanish Primera Division often start at noon to bind the Asian audience to the league, and players are transferred frequently around the globe.

The challenge for the domestic game and FC Krupa is to capture the positive elements of the interest and growth in scale of the game, and turn them to the benefit of the sport in a commercial sense to ensure our financial future.

Because football clubs can be seen as companies that sell a service to customers, management of professional football clubs has become more important. Football club have looked to overseas markets to increase their revenue streams and take opportunities for the business aspects of football have.

FC Krupa development model

FC Krupa board prepared management plan and development model rely on Project for Football Academy, School and Youth Camp. Including major stakeholders there are related in one or another way with Project is essential background. Major goal is to search business partner or sponsors interested in, and supports above mention Project.

Stakeholders from region will be gathered around project and provide different range of services including technical, educational and medicine support, and expert services from their specific field of interest.

Krupa na Vrbasu is placed near town Banja Luka. Banja Luka is the university, economic, finance, political and administrative center of the Republika Srpska entity, the second largest city after the capital Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina and by far the largest city in the north‐west with the population of about 250 000. Due to that facts some great advantages e.g. nearest of Faculties for sport and medicine, or medical clinics and institutes such as Institute of Orthopedics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation "Dr Miroslav Zotović", could be benefit in the Project. FC Krupa management already started to build the relationships with the key stakeholders and made contacts with certain institutions that will support and join us in our journey. Main purpose is having the best possible football club structures providing high quality coaching and development opportunities for all stakeholders involving in the Project.

In time, basic idea could be growth and extend to training process center with facilities for preparation top athletes and sports club. Open fields, new multifunctional sports hall, high end gym, professionally performed sports massage and kinesitherapy could be a new offer in a beautiful surrounding, clean air and intact nature.

Football Academy / Football School

A successful football program will provide heroes and heroines to attract and retain young people in our game.

Being an important part of any big club youth selections are receiving an ever growing attention. In addition to the development in the game of football, the primary goal of the Academy / Football School is to motivate and guide the young and children towards their talents. We focus on discipline, communication, education and development of motor and football skills in children.

We believe that football is a team game not an individual sport. Therefore, we make a great emphasis on each and every player’s commitment to a team spirit, as when a team outgrows individual performance and learns team confidence, excellence becomes a reality.

Transmit the positive sport and life values ... Football school attending children at an early age showed interest in sports, so they could make better develop their skills through meaningful and well‐planned training. Football School is a place of mutual communication between coaches, athletes and parents.

Football school teaches players the techniques that will help them develop into accomplished and confident performers with correct attitude, both on and off the pitch.

Football School Data background

Banja Luka closest cities in the north‐west region are Prijedor with 97.600 inhabitants and Bihać, city in Federation entity of BiH, with 61.200 inhabitants. Together with Bihać area a whole north‐west region of the country have about 1.000.000 inhabitants. Such a large population is great potential for future young athletes interested in football game.

In the Banja Luka area has 73 primary schools (out of that in Banja Luka town has 29 primary schools and 16 kindergarten) and 11 high and secondary schools and 2 Secondary School Centers. I addition to that it has one secondary school dorm and one student center with dorm in Banja Luka.

FC Krupa board have opinion that existing of serious and popular football school in the region with all supporting infrastructure and with opportunities for advancement and evident results, will attract numerous potential candidates from the region.

There are world-beaters out there and we will find and develop them.



C / Project Objectives

• Develop a limited group of major sponsors who can all benefit from a commercial link with football

• Support for the development of football schools to assist young people to be introduced to an environment, which assists them to move from schools to club football.

• Establish the Training Process Center Key Issues Establishing the FC Krupa team Academy and Football school for talents age 10 to

21, classified by age categories. Our intentions will that we are not developing just football players, but sportsmen and personalities, too. That requires a lot of effort, patience, love and understanding. On the other hand, that a great investment for the future, as well.

We will focus to provide the best learning environment where players can gain experience from professional coaches while maintaining a safe, positive and fun learning atmosphere with a spirit of fair play.

Align all elements of Academy and football schools with FC Krupa vision and strategy: • Contribute to continuous improvement of service delivery to school‐age

players; • Understand and meet the needs of secondary school players in the region; • Ensure international opportunities complement with the FC Krupa domestic

program;

In addition to trainings, boys who have joined the Football School will expand their knowledge in other areas as well, by regular educational courses, visits to theatres, cinemas and other cultural and entertainment institutions.

Academy and Football School Objectives

Elite young players require a development process to protect and nurture their special talents.

Technical development cannot, and should not, be viewed in isolation of the player’s overall educational and social welfare.

Effective school/home/club links.

Enhanced facilities coaching and medical provision is required.

Competitive matches as part of an integrated development program.

Better qualified coaches to work with elite young players.

The registration of gifted young players carries a responsibility for the Club to provide expert tuition, medical provision and educational support.

Youth Camp

Creating opportunities for young people to be introduced and participate in football in an appropriate manner whilst still in education.

‐ Facilitate the learning of technical and tactical concepts according to the working methods used by the FC Krupa team and recommended UEFA grassroots program1.

‐ Participate in parallel training activities, entertainment and recreation.

‐ Promote coexistence among children at a learning age from different backgrounds, cultures and interests, who share a passion for football.

‐ Maintain throughout the camp proper hygiene and dietary habits.

The game's future depends upon ensuring that the best young players are given every opportunity to fulfill their talent and potential.

Standards

Excellent football provision at every level is dependent on high standards being accomplished through a comprehensive training and development program. The training programs must evolve to meet fully the needs of all those involved in football at a time of great change.

Social Inclusion and Community Development

The game commands the hearts and minds of millions. There is no more powerful vehicle to take to young people a positive message of tolerance and respect (...) There are, therefore, benefits for including the funding of football in all relevant social exclusion and neighborhood renewal schemes and initiatives. Football can help deliver on the four key indicators of more jobs, less crime, better health and improved educational attainment. Promote the role of football in the Social Inclusion and Community Development agenda and promote the best practice in this field.

1 Grassroots football and solidarity ‐ UEFA

Football is based on the grass roots, played everywhere by men and women, boys and girls. The top professional level is just the tip of the iceberg. UEFA will continue with, and even strengthen solidarity, both to protect the future of football and to deliver the wider benefits that our sport brings to society as a whole. And it is also because the strength of football lies in its grass roots that we have to preserve the local, regional and national identities of our game, always in accordance with the law.



Stakeholders A club’s stakeholders include: supporters, sponsors, players, and the public. Introducing sponsors into the club’s management can provide fresh impetus and business perception.

A genuine benefactor’s cash can be put to good use, such as improving infrastructure and in doing so, taking the pressure off other fund‐raising efforts. The benefactor can act as the catalyst for empowerment, allowing the club to move forward and develop a strategy of ownership. The concept of “stakeholders” is not a new word, but there are very few clubs that “walk the talk” and genuinely empower the people for whom the club is an important part of their life. Without volunteer labour, youth football, supporters and sponsors, the club does not have true stakeholders.

Achieve Financial and organizational Sustainability Maintain and enhance revenue streams from existing and potential new sponsors. Develop new sustainable income streams including various sources of funding, events and database opportunities. To run a club as a business with a strategy, objectives and long‐term view, the influence at the top has to be diverse and focused. A club’s executive should be structured around stakeholders with representation from: the Board (if applicable); stakeholder groups (Supporters, Sponsors, local youth organizations); representation from, but not all, of the management committee (those responsible for the operational side of the club). To ensure motivation and creativity remains at a peak, executive positions should be for a defined period and certain positions should come up for election. Including stakeholders as active members in club management The board and leadership of FC Krupa have been working hard to get clear about where we are, where we want to get to and what we need to do, to make the transition. We have already started to build the relationships with the key stakeholders who will support and join us in our journey. Management of FC Krupa is already made contacts with certain institutions and organization that are operated and work in the field of football or close, and prepared Related Memorandums of understanding, Contracts form as well as letters of intent for our future partners and business sponsorship.

Club development At a present FC KRUPA is a stable member of Second league group “West“ of Republic of Srpska football Association (FSRS – Fudbalski Savez Republike Srpske) with intention to achieve a next level in FSRS league competitions and shifted in the First League of FSRS in the next playing seasons. Placing in upper part of score table in First League of FSRS will be one of expectation in accordance with management plan.

Sport

FC Krupa main goal is to establish a platform for youth player growth in region, supported with successful football program that including young football players and children trained by our coaches in age based selections. Football Academy / Youth department Football Academy is classified by age on categories U21, U19, U17, and U16, U15, U14, U13 and U12. Young talents will learn football algebra on a daily basis with care being taken on their growing‐up and personality forming. 10 coaches with appropriate UEFA license will be engaged related to school program in several categories: ‐ UEFA PRO license for U21 & U19 teams 2 coaches ‐ UEFA A license for U17 team 1 coach ‐ UEFA A license for U16 team 1 coach ‐ UEFA B license for U15 team 1 coach ‐ UEFA B license for U14 team 1 coach ‐ UEFA B license for U13 team 1 coach ‐ UEFA B license for U12 team 1 coach ‐ UEFA B license for U21 & U19 teams 1 coach ‐ UEFA A goal‐kipper license 1 coach Football School The Football School program needs to ensure and guarantee that the development of best young players meets the highest possible standards.

This training is based in two basic ideas:

(i) Teaching the players the basics of football so they can successfully face up to the sporting challenges they might face in the future.

(ii) Transmitting the values that represent football: tolerance, respect, solidarity, friendship, fair play, integration, effort and happiness.

Football schools will be established in Banja Luka and Krupa na Vrbasu with capacity of 250 students and with organized requirements and transport to the sport field.

Participation for all interested talents and students will be free of charge. Youth Camp Natural surrounding and existing sport facilities provide a good opportunities for Youth Camp establishment. Camp has a special significance because it offers different activities which can improve the overall performance of young football players.

Guests and instructors will be from different fields, and they will give lectures in order to help the achievement of objectives concerning the contemporary football methodologies.

It’s scheduled that Youth Camp would take place 4 times per year, once for each season (spring, summer, autumn and winter).



Facilities It will be necessary that existing club infrastructure and facilities will grow up towards structure changes and future growing shown in Concept Paper. Some of minor upgrades will be done in the next period, such as covering of visitors places, but other plans of extending required much more time and investment. All planed extension and new facilities club management will be done by themselves and supported with current main benefactor EKO ‐ EUROTIM. Project design and all necessary building permits and administration paper works for new buildings and facilities will be prepared by FC Krupa management. Youth Camp For the Youth Camp organization and needs, a small camp accommodation with 10 bungalows and with capacity of 8 beads in each (80 guests in total) will be building up right to the stadium and sport fields. Club / Stadium

It’s planned to building a new grass pitch with supporting buildings beside existing one with turf field. New field will be equipped with supporting objects. Training Process Center Planned expansion in the future will be building a new multifunctional sports hall equipped with high end gym and latest in fitness technology and other necessary rooms for training process center with facilities for preparation top athletes and sports club in a beautiful surrounding, clean air and intact nature. Open fields, new multifunctional sports hall, high end gym with latest fitness technology, professionally performed sports massage including medical services such as kinesitherapy, high‐quality orthopedic treatment or new orthopedic treatment of sports injuries with Autologous Conditioned Plasma (ACP) treatment (available on S‐TETIC clinic, led by head of Department Dr. Aleksandar Jakovljevic), could be a top offer in region.

E / Indicative Budget

Estimate budget on annual basis for a new club structure and planned football Academy and activities is about 300,000 Euro. About 20% of that sum will be provided by EKO – EUROTIM Company, current club sponsor. All new infrastructure, facilities and planed buildings will be also supported from EKO‐EUROTIM.

Proposed stakeholders approach and future benefactor(s) would provide 80% of estimated annual budget.

Potential benefactor(s) will have all adequate rights in management board and in decisions making, as well, proportionally with level of investment. Related rights and legal part, with precise contract clause and obligation, will be defined during assignment of agreement.

Basic information

FC Krupa Football Club FK KRUPA – Krupa na Vrbasu is founded in 1983. A club is located in small town Krupa na Vrbasu, near Banja Luka town in Republika Srpska (RS) entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

FC Krupa is competing in Second league group “West” of Republic of Srpska football Association (FSRS – Fudbalski Savez Republike Srpske) and is on the second place ranking at the moment (June 2014). About 90% of first team players are from U21 team. At present FC Krupa team have 4 coaches (1 ‐ UEFA Pro license, 1 ‐ UEFA A license, 1 ‐ UEFA B license and 1 ‐ UEFA A goal‐kipper license) with plan to extension on 1O coaches when Academy and Football School established.

Geography

Krupa na Vrbasu (Krupa on the Vrbas) is a small town near Banja Luka in the Bosanska Krajina in Republika Srpska, BiH with about 1300 inhabitants. Administratively Krupa na Vrbasu is one of the Banja Luka City county settlements. Krupa na Vrbasu is located on M‐16 motorway Jajce – Banja Luka, about 25km south from Banja Luka. It is situated at the point where the Vrbas River leaves the canyon and enters Krupsko polje, and with its left side the Krupa River flows into. The Krupa itself is a small river which joins the Vrbas in the canyon. The town is known for the "Krupa falls", the waterfalls in the town. Indeed the crystal clear waters racing down between the traditional watermills make a lovely sight.

General info

Krupa na Vrbasu is the place with its outstanding natural and cultural values such as waterfalls, mills and sources of the Krupa River, cave (Strikina pećina), Monastery of St. Ilija (1289), wooden church from XVI century and the medieval city of Greben (1192), conditioned the development of excursion, religious, sports and recreation, scientific, agricultural and fishing tourism.

After the waterfalls you can take a quick tour by the monastery ‐ a hike up to 'Greben', the old watchtowers, where you have a very spectacular view over the Vrbas canyon and the town. Also a hike to the Krupa river source is not too challenging and always appreciated. When you're into rock‐climbing, you can also go a few km north down the Vrbas, cross the river at the hanging bridge to climb up the stone bridge ('kameni most').

Climate Banja Luka region has temperate continental climate with the prevailing influences from the Pannonia plain, with harsh winters and warm summers. Situated in a basin at 164 m (534.78 ft) above sea level, where the Dinaric Alps from the south descend into the Pannonia Basin in the north, It belongs to the Central European Time zone (GMT +1) and the average annual temperature reaches 10,7°C, the average January 0,8ºC, whereas the average temperature in July reaches 21,3ºC.

Institute of Orthopedics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation "Dr Miroslav Zotović", Banja Luka

The Institute "Dr Miroslav Zotović" is respectable medical institution with 9 organizational units and extends to 3 locations: the main hospital complex in the Delibasino Selo (Trapisti), Spa complex in Slatina and the CBR external ambulance that works on the old site of the Clinical center.

After the reconstruction which performed in late 2003 the Orthopedic Department of the Institute became one of the top holders of the development of orthopedics in Republic of Srpska for a very short time, but also throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. A team of doctors, led by head of Department Prim Dr. Slavko Manojlovic, got the reputation thanks to the great sacrifice for introduction of modern methods and knowledge in the field of orthopedics, as well as patient satisfaction with services. Priority is given to orthopedic procedures with special emphasis on arthroplasty intervention (implantation of artificial joints) and arthroscopic surgery.

Orthopedic Department has 30 hospital beds, divided into comfortable, air‐conditioned rooms, equipped with TV receivers. Within the department there is a room for kinesitherapy, 2 ambulances, and operating block with two surgery theatres and sterilization.

S‐TETIC Clinic Banja Luka

S‐TETIK clinic is focused primarily on facial plastic reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, but in addition you can also inspect and various interventions in the field of orthopedics and trauma, general and abdominal surgery, oncology, gynecology and dermatology, as well as ultrasound and laboratory diagnosis.

Beside usually orthopedic services and physical therapy a new orthopedic treatment of sports injuries and some disease with Autologous Conditioned Plasma (ACP) treatment is available on S‐TETIC clinic, led by head of Department Dr. Aleksandar Jakovljevic.

Autologous Conditioned Plasma (ACP), also known as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), is injections for the treatment of difficult chronic Tendonitis around the hand and foot as well as for Tennis Elbow (Epicondylitis), Achilles Tendonitis and Patellar Tendonitis. After the reduction process, the plasma containing platelets with growth factors is injected into the injured tissue. A local anesthetic is used if necessary. The entire process takes less than 30 minutes including drawing the patient’s blood centrifuging it and then injecting the plasma portion into the injured site.

The University of Business Studies (UPS) is a young academic institution established in 2006.
