The overseas business now operates 19 malls, adding profit to the result for 2Q, which resulted in a total increase in operating income for the three quarters amounting to 766 million yen.
Sales from existing malls in Japan for the third quarter (three months) increased year on year (after an adjustment was made to the days of the week) thanks to the active revitalization of existing malls and new sales promotions such as Black Friday.
OPA Co., Ltd., which operates an urban-style fashion building business that became a subsidiary on March 1, 2016, has been implementing the revitalization and scrap-and-build renovation of existing malls and opening new malls to transform from a fashion-based business into one that proposes fashionable lifestyles.
Both net sales and income increased. Ordinary income grew 7.3% and reached a record high.

Creating corporate value from different perspectives by creating an organization comprising individuals with diverse views.
Become a company to which a variety of human resources can contributeThe Company’s employees have been increasing substantially in number in the past several years due to an increased number of stores. The Company will continue to develop an environment that allows people with a variety of backgrounds to work with common values regardless of their nationality or sex.
For human resource globalizationThe Company’s policy for overseas shopping malls is to have them led by local personnel and operated based on the local languages and customs to establish the Company’s philosophy in the local communities. The Company operates exchange programs such as providing overseas employees with short-term training at malls in Japan.
