DOVER -Meet Riley, a 2-year-old

hound mix who is enthusiastic about everything! He is a very energetic, goofy, and affection-ate young man looking for an owner that can devote a lot of extra time to training and en-richment. Because Riley is ex-tremely exuberant he would benefit from extra daily play-time as well as extra walks or runs. Riley is a known resource guarder and for this reason he cannot go home with any chil-dren and should probably not share his home with a cat or any other small animal because he may chase them. Riley would need to meet any potential dog siblings before going home with them and would prob-ably do best with a dog simi-lar to his size. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. Age: 2 years; Sex: Neutered Male; Breed: Hound mix. For more information, go to www.cvhsonline.org or call 603-749-5322.

ents Platinum and Alternative Prints by Tillman Crane, Jay Goldsmith, Norman Defos-ses and David Speltz at Camera Commons’ new Street Side Gal-lery, 652 Central Ave., Dover. These images will be on display from January 17 - April 2 with an artist reception on Sunday, January 17, 1-4 p.m.

Platinum/Palladium print-ing was invented in 1873 and involves paper being brushed with a chemical emulsion con-taining these precious metals in a dimly lit room. It is a contact print process, as each negative is placed on the chemically-coated light-sensitive paper and exposed to either sunlight or UV spec-trum artificial light. The devel-oped prints are then bathed in benign chemicals and rinsed in water. The metals that remained

“The Bldg. 178 project ex-emplifies the shipyard’s motto, ‘Proud of our Past… Ready for the Future,’” said Shipyard Commander, Captain William Greene. “Portsmouth Naval Shipyard’s ability to incorpo-rate mission requirements with award-winning environmental programs through careful design and new energy efficient materi-als was instrumental in main-taining the historic character of the building while simultaneous-ly expanding shipyard capabili-ties and meeting energy saving goals.”

The renovated building is estimated to save approximately 25,000 mmBTU of energy each

year. Insulated metal panels, solar walls, and a photovoltaic array comprise some of the sus-tainable technologies incorpo-rated into the updated facility, which helped Portsmouth Naval Shipyard earn two environmen-tal awards in 2015: FY14 Secre-tary of the Navy Environmental Award for Cultural Resources Management, Small Installa-tion and FY14 Secretary of the Navy Environmental Award for Environmental Restoration, Installation. In addition, the project includes a display room dedicated to the history of the building, from which dozens of submarines were launched from 1939 to 1969.

trapped in the fibers of the paper became the images we see.

Tillman Crane from Camden, Maine, started his pho-tographic career in 1978 as a pho-tojournalist for The Maryville Daily Times in Tennessee. In 1988 he began teaching the craft of photography. The focus of his imagery remains on the unique sense of place in the ordinary, ev-eryday locations where he lives and teaches.

Jay Goldsmith, a Ports-mouth native, spent the first twelve years of his adult life as a high school English teacher. In 1981, having worked weekends photographing weddings for sev-eral years, he decided to give up teaching and devote his full at-tention to a career in profession-al photography. In 1985 he part-nered with wedding photogra-pher Julia Russell. Jay’s natural light family and children’s por-traits have won several awards throughout New England.

Norman Defosses of Durham makes photos that have the texture of Palladium prints--they are however, prints made with black pigment inks adapted to an inkjet printer. He prints

them on handmade Japanese papers that are soaked in water and then dried.

David Speltz has been traveling and photographing for nearly 60 years and has portfo-lios from the North Pole, Easter Island, Antarctica, East Africa (where he lived in the 1980s), In-donesia, Japan, Europe and of course, the US. He has been an avid user of large format cam-eras and continues to promote art through photography as the founder of Camera Commons.

~ News & Ask The Computer Lady~Dear Computer Lady,

Thanks for all the work you do for us old folks. I down-loaded Windows 10 on my com-puter running Windows 7. I do not have the search window. Windows 10 states to use the Windows key and it will appear. Not on my computer. Also lost my Free Cell, I can use another download so this is no big prob-lem. I just liked the old one it better than what I find on line now. Jack

Dear Jack,There are several ways to

search in Windows 10, some are more obvious than others. When you tap the windows logo key on your keyboard, the start menu will appear, and while there is no visible search box, if you just start typing the name of what you are looking for, Win-dows 10 will start searching as you type. This is my favorite way to search, and it works in Windows 7-10. In Windows 10,

the start button is a white win-dows logo flag usually located at the left edge of the taskbar. First, right next to the start button is a magnifying glass icon. Click on that icon to access Cortana, the new Windows 10 search app. You can customize Cortana to help you with searching and re-minders, or you can just search in the box that says, "Search the web and Windows". You can also access the Cortana search when you right-click on the start

Jeffrey James Rhumann, 45

AMESBURY, MA. – Jef-frey James Ruhmann, 45, of Amesbury, passed away sur-rounded by his family and friends on Wednesday, Decem-ber 30, 2015, after a long illness.

Jeff was born in Methuen on November 13, 1970. He graduated from Methuen High School in 1989, and was a member of the Varsity Tennis Team. Jeff also attended Univer-sity of Massachusetts at Lowell where he studied Engineering.

He held many manage-ment positions, but in his later years was Director of Opera-tions at multiple corporations across the United States and

abroad. Growing up Jeff played both hockey and tennis. He was also blessed with a natural gift for playing the piano in which he often played to entertain family. Jeff had a great passion for his family, friends, music, and Boston sports teams.

Jeff is the son of Patricia (Brett) Ruhmann and the late Raymond Ruhmann. Jeff is also survived by his wife, Denise; his son, Tyrese; his brother, Brett Ruhmann of Kittery, ME; his sisters, Susan (Ruh-mann) Page and her husband David of Kingston, NH, and Nancy (Ruhmann) Soucy and her husband, Jay of Littleton, NH; nephews, Brett Ruhmann Jr., and Conor Soucy; nieces, Brittney Soucy, Quinn Soucy,

Kendra Ruhmann, and many other family and friends.

The family of Jeffrey James Ruhmann wishes to thank the staff at the Exeter Hospital and the Merrimack Valley Hospice House for their care and com-passion. They would also like to thank Jeff's many friends who came to be by his side.

In lieu of flowers, contri-butions may be made to either the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Avenue, Haverhill, MA 01830, or to the Jimmy Fund, Post Office Box 849168, Boston, Mass., 02284-9168. Arrangements handled by Driscoll Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Haverhill. For online guestbook, visit www.driscollcares.com.

button and click on "Search" in the context menu that appears. If you are looking for a file, just open Windows explorer and navigate to the folder where you think the file is located, for example, Documents. In Win-dows Explorer, there is a search box in the upper-right part of the window. I hope this helps with your searching. Elizabeth

Dear Computer Lady,The PC Info page on my

computer says that I have 16GB of RAM, but only 1.95GB is available. Even when I reboot the computer and check, it is still this way. Can you help me? Luisandre

Dear Luisandre,It sounds like something

on your computer is using a lot of RAM. You just need to find out what it is. The first thing

that comes to mind is your graphics. Some computers have a graphics card with RAM on the card. They don't use the system RAM. Other comput-ers have the graphics on the motherboard, and they use part of the system RAM for your display. To see what is hogging your RAM, follow these steps: 1. Open Task Manager, by right clicking on the "Start" flag then click on "Task Manager. 2. In the Task Manager, click on the "Processes" tab. 3. In the Pro-cesses page, click the top of the "Memory" column to sort by the amount of RAM used. The pro-grams using the most memory will be at the top of the list. Now, you will be able to see what is using the most RAM, and take steps to disable or uninstall the program. Elizabeth
