150mm “bandwidth” to the left, right, above and below w.r.t. all conceal electrical accessory and also below ceiling


Lightning Protection System

HDB use aluminium lightning tape on the roof top and run the aluminium down conductor on surface of external wall/column.

The aluminum down conductor is connect to copper tape using bi-metallic aluminum/copper connector at a height of 2.5m. The copper tape shall be properly concealed or embedded to prevent it from being removed


TV System

All distribution amplifiers are to be properly secured with locking device and engrossed with Serial number. All Tee units in the Telecom Riser and distribution amplifiers are to be spray painted

Electrical Installation

Conceal conduits should be gradually bent and has no more than 2 nos. of 90 degree bend between two points and the crossing of conduits should be kept to a minimum so that the covering of the conduit should be sufficient



Proper conduit accessories are to be used

Location of conceal conduit w.r.t. the precast component must be checked



Conceal conduit running outside the no drill zone

The Consultant can consider casting the socket outlets separately to ensure that the socket outlets are in level position and also reduce the need to hack the brick wall later for the installation of conduits.

For those socket outlets to be installed at the brick wall



No cable should be exposed without the protection of a conduit, trunking or some other form of protection

The Consultant should inspect and paid attention on the running of the conceal conduit in block walls.

In this case, metal conduit should be used

In instances where two residential units share one common riser duct, PowerGrid meter boxes should be placed logically for identification



The Consultant should check to ensure that the main door does not hit the CCU when fully opened.

Earth System

The Consultant should ensure all necessary information of the earth system engraved on a durable identification tag to be fixed onto the inside top of the earth pit


ELV Installation

Proper separations between Switched socket outlet box and TV outlet box

Location of the aluminium air terminal should be check and relocated appropriately with consideration of the ladder or railing installed at the roof

Re-entrant loop should be avoided

CONQUAS

Finishes must be even, level, align & consistent

No stain marks and visible damages / defects

The Consultant should inspect and verify the position of all electrical provision, esp at toilet and balcony

- heater point at toilet

- power point for the washing machine

In Process Checking

The Consultant should verify that the Electrical Sub-contractor is

- BCA registered contractor of at least L2 grade

- Registered with Qualified Electrical Contractors Registry maintained by IES/ACES
