My Home Town is Huay Kon

The location Huay Kon is a small village, surrounded by mountains. It is situated in the north part of Nan

province.

Special or local foods -Bamboo shoots soup, it is a popular dish in my home town. It’s very delicious. It’s made from

Bamboo shoots and Bai-ya-nang. You can eat it with sticky rice. -Red ant eggs soup or Kang kai-mod-daeng, it’s made from kai-mod-daeng and Pak-whan.

An interesting place in Huay Kon Thai- Laos Border Market. Now it is an international border crossing. Early on Wednesday and

Saturday morning, there is Thai’s trade with Laotian’s. You can buy local foods and goods such as Thai silk, handicrafts, traditional clothing, various local vegetable and fruits

A traditional activity - Bai-sri-su-khwan. It’s the ancient local ritual. They believe the spirit to come back to them that makes them

happiness and prosperity. At the end of the rite, Mhor Khawn always ties their wrists with cotton. They can do that any time when they feel uncomfortable.

A local product A Local product is hand woven fabric. It is traditional and cultural inheritance. People design and

weave fabric. There are various designs reflect the local artistic and creative. The fabric is used for making dresses. You can see and buy it at my village.

มการคาขายของคนไทย และคนลาว คณสามารถจบจายซออาหารทองถน สงของตางๆ เชน ผาทอหรอผาถง สงของหตถกรรม เสอผาแบบดงเดม ผกทองถนแปลกๆ ผลไม

กจกรรมประเพณในหมบาน -บายศรสขวญ หรอ การสขวญ ซงเปนประเพณของทองถน ชาวบานเชอวาเปนการเรยกขวญ
