BUYUK
The whole essence of the character of this
charming Surrey estate is beautifully
described by an inscription on one of its
garden benches, believed to have been
crafted for Lady Iveagh: Not wholly in the
busy world nor quite beyond it blooms the
garden that I love.
Pyrford Court is an exceptional Grade II
listed mansion in superb formal and woodland
grounds with the most spectacular views.
The property was built on land which was
formerly part of Woking Park, lying within the
southern area of Windsor Forest. In 1906 the
land was purchased by Lord Iveagh from his
father in law, the fourth Earl of Onslow and the
mansion and grounds gradually evolved fromthen on.
In 1911 Lord Iveagh decided to enlarge the
accommodation by adding two wings, terraces
to the north and south and a Venetian bridge
to connect the north terrace to the north lawn.
The work commenced but was held up by the
outbreak of the First World War and so
was completed once peace was restored in a
slightly modified manner and with the
inclusion of a swimming pool.
Claims to fame
During the Second World War, Pyrford Court
was used by the Headquarters Staff of the 20th
Guards Brigade. In November 1940, HM
King George VI inspected the guards and
actually dined in the Blue Room. After the
death of Lord Iveagh in 1967, the estate
passed to his three daughters and remained
empty until it was sold 10 years later. Since then
parts of the house have been used as a
residential care home and solicitors offices.
The gardens have hosted music festivals andthere have been classical music performances
in the ballroom. In the 1980s, the house was
also used as the location for the first filming
of The Omen with Gregory Peck.
In 2000 the house was sold again and the
current owners have been responsible for
tuning it back into the English country
home that it was originally intended to be.
Following its remarkable restoration, it now
affords the comfortable warmth of family
living at the same time as offering some
hugely impressive rooms for entertaining and
personal enjoyment.
Old meets new
The outstanding, south-facing master bedroom
suite spreads over most of the first floor of the
central wing of the house and comprises a
study, bedroom, bathroom and sizeable dressing
area. Throughout the house, a different styleof ceiling can be seen in each of the principal
rooms, varying from fine plaster work and
beautiful vaulting to panelling and a fresco.
This attention to detail is mirrored in the
elaborate headwork to columns and pillars,
the extraordinary woodwork of the banisters,
the marble and stone fireplaces, and the
range of cornicing throughout the property.
However, the mansion certainly isnt stuck in
a time warp, a Crestron system controls
lighting as well as air conditioning and music
to the main rooms.
The gardens were developed by the Countess
of Iveagh in discussion with her friend,
Gertrude Jekyll and, although many of the
statues and figures that were designed for the
original gardens are no longer there today, the
carved pink marble fountain that was designed
in Italy from a photograph of one seen in
Dubrovnik by Lord Iveagh, is still intact. It can
be found in the corner where the two stretches
of the wisteria walk pergolas meet in the
north lawn. The wisteria at Pyrford Court isyet another impressive feature of this glorious
estate, attracting gardeners from near and far
to admire the fronds which explode in a burst
of colour every May.

If youre looking for an exclusive address
right in the heart of Mayfair, then look
no further than this fabulous Georgian
residence. Just off Park Lane between
Grosvenor Square and Hyde Park, it spans
approximately 1,440m. The Grade II listed
property had a major restoration projectcarried out on it in the mid 1990s while a
connecting mews house has been newly built
in period style.
There are so many outstanding features of
this magnificent home that its difficult to
know where to begin but they include a private
terraced garden, a 10.36m swimming pool and
secure garaging for four to six cars. All highly
valuable assets in such a location. The main
house is air conditioned throughout and there
is even a lift which serves all the principal floors.
French influenceThe house was given its present ornate internal
appearance in 1903-4, as a result of Arthur W.
Davis, who was probably a merchant with
South African connections. He commissioned
a very costly internal reconstruction in the
Empire style from the architects W. H.
Romaine-Walker and Besant, and decorators
Charles Mellier and Company, who employed
French workmen on the job.
There is a marble floor to the entrance halland the reception rooms are good examples
of the French taste of the Edwardian years,
particularly the drawing rooms at first-floor
level with their rich gilded ornament. Yet
another fabulous feature is the elegant curved
staircase complete with cast iron balustrades
and brass hand rail, rising above a diminishing
oval well. Even the custom-made stair runners
are taken from Louis XIV designs.
Poolside pleasureMoving on to the swimming pool area, this has
a vaulted ceiling with a gym, shower and plenty
of space for comfortable poolside seating. A
corridor leads to the large wine vaults and the
connecting mews house. This property in turn
has three reception rooms and three bedrooms
over the large, aforementioned garage. Between
the main house and mews house is the private
terraced garden with a light lantern looking down
into the swimming pool complex.
The master bedroom suite occupies the
second floor and comprises the bedroom, sitting
room, dressing room and two en suite marble
bathrooms. Heading further skyward, the third
and fourth floors offer five more bedrooms, five
bathrooms and dressing rooms.
Last but far from least, the domestic offices
comprise a large fully fitted kitchen with
separate servery/utility room, two staff bedroom
suites (both with bathrooms), a kitchenette,
large storage and plant rooms. The full pictureis of a rare Mayfair mansion that will enchant its
owners and enthral their guests.

A fine catchCruden Bay is a small village in Scotland, on
the north coast of the Bay of Cruden in
Aberdeenshire, Being just 24 miles from
Aberdeen, the oil capital of Europe and
probably the world, it has not been hit by the
recession and the entire surrounding area is
prosperous. Aberdeen itself is like any new
cosmopolitan city with all the amenities you
could wish for and an international airport.
In the early 1900s Cruden Bay was home to
one of three old grand hotels owned by
British Rail, the others being Gleneagles and
Turnberry. Hence the famous Cruden Bay golfcourse which our featured property within the
fishing community of Port Errol overlooks.
Port Erroll was purchased three years ago
from a local family who had worked the
salmon fishery for hundreds of years. Port
Erroll Developments purchased it to carry on
this tradition as its one of the only places
where there is the right to fish for wild salmon
in the UK.
Donald Trump came to the area a few years
ago and fell so in love with the coastline
that he purchased a huge part of it. He is
currently spending over 1 billion building
what he claims will prove to be the best
golf development in the world, 14 miles from
Port Errol.
Because of Port Errolls unique site, the
developers decided to apply for planningpermission to build a new house and also
redevelop an existing old salmon cottage.
This was a long shot because included on the
site is an ice-house which Historic Scotland has
great interest in. After going through much red
tape permission was finally granted so long as
the developers restored the ice-house which
will be included in the sale of the new house.
Due to all the facts above, Port Erroll
Developments decided to push the boat out
with the reconstruction of the salmon bothy.
It will be a three-bedroom house with its
exterior walls of two-foot thick local granite
being totally refurbished to restore them to
their original state. These walls are a unique
feature as they would be nearly impossible to
build nowadays.
The interior is to be very similar to anoriginal Nantucket beach house but with
distinct touches that will make it to the high
standard that any buyer would expect from a
five-star, world-class hotel. The property will
feature highest quality natural flagstone floors

to the lounge kitchen and halls. The bedrooms
will have solid oak with tasteful hand made
rugs to suit the setting. Under floor heating will
be installed throughout to ensure comfortable
warmth, while the kitchen will be hand built
at serious cost with all modern equipment
hidden behind an old world exterior. The
bathrooms and all other living areas will also
be completed to an exceptional finish. There
are a few weeks remaining in which a new
buyer can change any of the specifications
therwise the property will be completed
within the next three months. The second house is a totally new build but
will not look as if it is because the developers
are using different materials on the exterior
that will bring a blend of ultra modern and old
fashioned to give a unique property. The
house will have four bedrooms with large
social areas and a great open plan kitchen/
living area. The interior can be still changed
by a new buyer as the developers are still
going through the floor plan to determine the
interior design.
There are some amazing features to this
house which include a World War II pillar-box
in its original position. This will be refurbished
to make a barbecue house and a fabulous sun
terrace. The ice-house will also be included in
the sale of this new property.
Either of the two houses presents a rarechance to purchase something totally unique
with awesome views and a wild salmon
fishery. The developers will retain any rights
to the fishing but the purchasers will be
encouraged to fish with them.

These luxurious homes in an elegant
and discreet property in a prime London
location have been meticulously designed
and created using the finest materials in the
world. Marbles for the bathrooms have
been handpicked in the mines in Carrara, artand antiques sourced from across Europe
together with bespoke furniture and silk
floor and wall coverings.
Avenfield House, in which the penthouses
are located, has been totally transformed
and will mark out the building as a destination
residential address. One of the joint letting
agents for these amazing penthouses
comments that the fact that they can only be
occupied, not owned outright, further adds to
their exclusivity.
The four-bedroom properties have 360
degree views over Hyde Park and the Capital,
ambassadorial reception rooms, sweeping
staircases with double height windows,
sumptuous master suites with his and hers
bath and dressing rooms, unequalled privacy
and security plus the latest in AV technology.
Signature stylingNicky Haslams grand and impressive interiors
include several signature features such as
double height monochrome entrance doors, decorative moulded plaster, festooned curtains
and whimsical furniture. Bathrooms have
some of the biggest showerheads in Europe,
hand embossed shagreen tiles, hand painted
vanity units, antique glass and an abundance
of televisions and concealed storage. Kitchens
are by Artichoke and include Gaggenau
appliances, marble countertops and bespoke
dressers. Meanwhile, the building itself boasts
an in and out drive with electric gates, a car
lift designed for luxury vehicles, two new
passenger lifts designed by Nicky Haslam
and a newly refurbished entrance hall with
24-hour concierge.

did if you were so inclined, and in the right
circles, so to speak. It was something I always
did for myself, and friends, he explains,
and eventually when I left Vogue and Show
magazines I was helping friends so much I had
to turn it into a business!Like fashion, design changes at a rapid pace
in terms of trends but while I very much keep
in tune with launch events like Highpoint,
Decorex etc, I am more inclined to avoid
of the moment movements which quickly
look dated. I do think, however, that there is
a general trend towards pattern and colour
emerging and this is validated by the sorts
of fabric collections I see being launched
right now.
As with all his projects, with the penthouses
at Avenfield House Nicky wanted to push the
architectural framework to its maximum
potential in terms of taking advantage of the
terrific lateral space, the views, and concealing
anything like necessary ductwork. What
was also obvious to me was the sheer glamour
of the flats and that they would benefit from
overscaled and unexpected plasterworks and
furnishings, he says. It was important to keep
a balance between making a strong design
statement and keeping the decor aestheticallybalanced to a degree that would appeal to a
broad range of clients.
High tech to high comfortNaturally, the developer wanted to offer the most
comprehensive technology, so a lot of thought
was given to the best way to conceal aircon,
electronics and other vital devices. However,
Nicky also wanted to keep the residential feel
that he likes even the most high tech flats to
impart. Funnily enough, he continues, the
flats are also so large that we gave careful
consideration to furniture placement to keep
them human in a way that if two people are
having a conversation, for example, they can find
a cosy corner in a flat that could easily hold 100.
Nickys interiors are known for their glamour,
the unexpected use of materials and for the
bespoke approach he takes to furnishings.
Very little of what you see is bought, he
explains. We design and make unique pieces
and assemble them with unusual antiquesI find along the way. Its a very individual
process tailored to each client and to
each residence.
So, we ask, does Nicky have a sound piece
of advice to offer those undertaking an
interior design project? Yes, he replies
decisively, take a cue from these beautiful flats
and try something daring in your own interior.
As Diana Vreeland often said, If you have an
idea, youre well ahead.

Renowned for designing and producing
garments using only the finest Italian
cashmere, the fashion designer who likes to
be known simply as Lisa, describes her
approach as paying homage to the Golden
Age of Couture whilst redefining that status
quo through avant-garde knitwear that
evolves manipulating organic surface designs
on the body. Its not as complicated as it
sounds. The concept behind the collection
is luxury combined with exquisite design, its
aim being to push the boundaries in
knitwear with new technical construction
and shapes.
The label was founded in 2006 after Lisas
long tenure as a knitwear designer in Hong
Kong. She had always been fascinated by
knitwear and textiles and under the influence
of both maternal and paternal grandmothers,
a seamstress/milliner and a crochet/knitterrespectively, Lisas interest evolved into a
strong desire to devote her future to fashion
and, more specifically, knitwear design.
After graduating from Central Saint Martins
College of Art in London, Lisa worked for
Issey Miyakes assistant Kenichi Nakayama
where she gained invaluable expertise and
inspiration for her own future creations. A
background which has resulted in the singer
and actress Kylie Minogue becoming just one
of several celebrities spotted sporting the
LisaT label.
Here comes summer
Lisa is confident that her new Spa Collection
fulfils every womans desire and need to look
stylish yet understated during her spring and
summer travels. The luxurious range offers
stylish, versatile separates for wear during yoga
or while lounging and relaxing. It also features
an innovative variety of day into evening
pieces from shorts, skirts, ponchos, sarongs,
jumpsuits, boleros, vintage inspired bikinisand effortlessly chic corseted dresses. The
collection is made of an Italian viscose crepe
exclusive to LisaT that is wonderfully cool to
wear and ideal for travelling.
Using a very feminine colour palette of burnt
orange, purple orchid, Ceylon yellow, light grey
and ivory, Lisa has incorporated her hand
drawn coral designs and then interpreted
them as embroidery on dresses and separates.
Exotic kaftan style dresses are inspired by
goldfish, creating the effects of fins by the use
of distinctive, hand designed, brush stroke
discharge prints.
Silhouettes for summer 2010 create strong

Fast track to the 50sAny car enthusiast who hasnt visited the Goodwood
Revival is missing out on quite an amazing
experience. It came to lie in the autumn o 1998 a
dream come true or the Earl o March, whose
grandather the ninth Duke o Richmond had frst
opened the motor circuit at Goodwood in 1948.
The aim o the event is to relive the glory days o
Goodwood Motor Circuit, which along with
Silverstone was Britains leading racing venue
during its active years between 1948 and 1966.
During this time it hosted contemporary racing o all
kinds, including Formula One, the amous
Goodwood Nine Hours race and the celebrated
Tourist Trophy sports car race.
Now, or three days in late summer each year, the
circuit echoes to the spine-tingling bark o golden-
age Grand Prix cars rom the 50s and 60s, thundering
sports and GT cars, as well as historic saloon cars andlittle-seen Formula Juniors. Many o these are driven
by amous aces rom motor sport past and present
such as Sir Stirling Moss.
The 2010 Goodwood Revival which takes place
over September 17th and 19th is set to be a very
special weekend, with mouth-watering grids,
scintillating on-track action and a number o
signicant anniversaries to celebrate. It intends to
build on the success o last years event, when a
record-breaking 134,000 people attended over the
weekend. As ever, the Revival ofers visitors o all
ages a chance to revel in the romance and glamour
o motor racing as it used to be. It is the only
sporting event in the world set entirely to a period
theme and, every year, spectators and competitors
take a magical step back in time by getting into the
efervescent Goodwood spirit. The majority o
visitors enter into the spirit o the event, dressing in
appropriate clothing rom the 1940s, 50s and 60s.
The lovingly restored circuit is unchanged rom its
heyday and great lengths are taken to ensure that
everything on the site is exactly as it was. No modern
vehicles are allowed within the circuit perimeter
throughout the weekend period vehicles provide allessential services and competitor support. Bands play
1950s music, the corn stooks on the circuit ineld are
made rom a specially-grown crop with extra-long
stalks or hand cutting rather than combine
harvesting, and even the ood has a 1950s avour.

Would you believe this year marks the 75th
anniversary o the Jaguar name? I youve ever
wondered how it came to be, apparently Sir
William Lyons ounded Swallow Sidecars in1922, and went on to create a range o SS
branded motorcycle sidecars and automobiles
in the 1920s and early 1930s. When it came tothe launch o the all-new SS 100 in 1935, Sir
William wanted a new and evocative name or
his company. Ater asking his advertising
agency or suggestions, Sir William choseJaguar, and the SS 100 model became the
worlds frst Jaguar.
The Jaguar name was an ideal choice itrepresented the eline grace and elegance, power
and agility that set his cars apart. Sir William once
said that a car was the closest thing we can
create to something that is alive, a sentiment thathas stood the test o time.
Over the years Jaguar has built some o the
world's most iconic cars; the XK120, introduced inthe late 1940s, was an instant sensation and the
most glamorous sports car o the period; the C
Type and D Type race cars that ollowed,
dominated motor racing in the 1950s; the E-Type,
launched in the heady 1960s, has been called the
most beautiul car ever built and it defned awhole generation. Sports cars have always
defned Jaguar, but the company has also built
some o the industry's most memorable sedans, such as the Mark II in the early 1960s and the
renowned XJ range.
Mike ODriscoll, managing director o Jaguar Cars, says, In 2010 we celebrate our past, and 75 years
o designing and building cars that celebrate the
art o automobile making. Were also celebrating
the promise o the uture, and the introductiono the all-new XJ. In just three years weve
completely revitalized the Jaguar line-up with
the launch o three beautiul ast cars.
Just a ew years ago Jaguar set out to re-make
the brand and to revitalize the model range. It
started in 2008 with the introduction o the all-
new award-winning XF. This our door, fve-seatcar has the looks o a coupe and the heart o a
sports car. In 2009 Jaguar re-engineered the XK
coupe and convertible, and in the process
created one o the worlds great grand tourers.
And, 2010 sees the beginning o sales o the
ground-breaking XJ, which incorporates all o thevirtues that make a Jaguar.
Ian Callum, Jaguar design director, says, Jaguardesign over the next 75 years must respect and
reect on the past 75 while continuing to push
boundaries o technology, luxury and sporting
style. Designing cars with a presence thatdemands a turn o the head and an allure that
pulls at the heart has been central to the Jaguar
brand throughout the years.
Jaguar will celebrate its 75th anniversary at some
o the worlds most glamorous automotive
settings during the year, including the
Goodwood Festival o Speed and Revival in theUK; the Concours DElegance at Pebble Beach in
the US and at the Mille Miglia classic in Italy.
Jaguar is also returning to the racetrack with its
new JaguarRSR XKR GT2 and will compete in theAmerican Le Mans Series.

The story of Indigo Pearl is very much the story of
Bill Bensley a Harvard graduate who has been
responsible for some of the most innovative hotel
work in Asia and the proprietors who own the
property that was once a tin mine. The culmination
of the two has produced a resort that has notforgotten its origin. Indeed, the authenticity of this
inspiration can be found in the billiard room bar
Tongkah Tin Syndicate, which not too long ago was
still one of the mines surveyor sheds.
There are six categories o rooms, all o which are
united by one dominant theme, the design work o
Bill Bensley, which through clever use o texture and
uncompromising modernity creates a very unusual
aesthetic which, in an abstract sense, evokes
Phukets origins as a tin mining island.
On location
Located on Nai Yang Beach, adjacent to Sirinath
National Park, Indigo Pearl is inspired by Phukets tin
mining past. Nai Yang Beach is only 10 minutes rom
Phuket International Airport but because it s situated
next to Sirinath National Park its one o the quietest
areas on the island although the hustle and bustle
o places like Patong are only 30 minutes away.
At your leisure
More a lake than a pool, with bridges and natural
boulders, the main swimming pool (one o three) is adominant architectural eature o the grounds.Theopen air lounge bar, Rebar, is set in a raised pavilion
that catches glimpses o the beach and neatly sums
up indigo Pearls ambience unky and blue.
There are our diferent restaurants, the most
spectacular being Black Ginger, a traditional Thai
building on stilts in a man made lake with an all
black interior accented by cobalt blue chandeliers.
The Indigo Pearl also boasts a deluxe luxury spa,
where you discover a range o relaxing andrejuvenating treatments that use both traditional
Thai and modern innovative techniques.
Home away from home comforts
The interior design throughout can best be
described as being a combination o rugged
industrial textures and tones expressed in traditional
Thai patterns and a modernity which has a ocus on
the colour indigo.
Kelly Quarters Each Kelly Quarters terrace overlooks the abundant
gardens o the resort. Textural contrasts throughout
the postmodern interior create a style imbued with
intrigue. Locally crated urnishings complete the
luxurious eel. The name o the room is inspired by
Phuket's tin mining past, kelly being pieces o the
machinery which were once used throughout the
area or drilling in the tin mines.
Pearl Bed Suites
Embodying the Indigo Pearl experience, these rooms
ofer a spectacular interplay o rich wood and stoneoors. Postmodern accents are at work in the
urnishing, lighting and ar t. The expansive terrace
makes outdoor relaxation irresistible. Luxurious
bathrooms sport walk-in wardrobes and you can
enjoy a private view o the garden rom the stylish
tub discreetly positioned on its own balcony. Rooms
ofer 56-65m2 o interior space plus two terraces.
Private Pool Pavilions
Sufused with luxurious detail, the Private PoolPavilions ofer a spectacular interplay o rich wood
and stone. Post-modern accents are at work in the
urnishings, lighting and art. Astounding design
drawn rom Thai inuences, modern architecture
and the architect's own imagination. A cooling
plunge pool awaits in the pavilion courtyard, which
also sports an outdoor bath, double sun lounger,
and sun umbrella. Interiors are 50m2 with a 55m2
terrace and a plunge pool.

Imagine waking up to the sound of peace
and quiet, broken only perhaps by birdsong
or the bleat of a distant sheep. As life seems
to become increasingly hectic for most of us,
having a place in the country where you
can escape to recharge your batteries is a
tempting proposition. But supposing youve
made your decision to change your lifestyle
completely with a lock, stock and barrel
move to the country or simply decided to
invest in a luxurious weekend retreat, just
how many of these exclusive properties
are available?
Lets take Wrenshot House in Cheshire as
an example (full property details following).
Crispin Harris of the Wilmslow office of
Jackson-Stops & Staff advises, Properties
like Wrenshot House rarely come to the
market and are therefore much sought after.
There are very few genuine country houses
with the combination of having land and
equestrian and leisure facilities in this area.
Wrenshot House also has privacy as it sits in
the middle of its own land. The scarcity factor
comes into play and therefore even in a
harder market there are always buyers looking
for this exceptional type of property. So what of similar properties in other parts
of the country? Rupert Sweeting, Knight
Franks head of country department, informs
us that the best properties are now attracting
competitive bidding on a regular basis. Not
only that, guide prices are, in many cases,
being exceeded with some houses selling for
close to what they would have achieved at the
peak of the market.
Ticking all boxesWe are, however, some distance from a return
to the headiest days of the property boom, he
says, when even properties with issues such
as road noise would command premium
prices. Buyers do remain price sensitive and
it is the houses that tick literally every box that
are attracting the most competition. The
question everybody is now asking is how long
the recovery can continue and will prices fall
again in 2010. The most likely scenario is a
levelling off sometime in mid 2010.
Now could well be the time to make thoselong held dreams become a reality as you head
for the country, you certainly wont be
disappointed with the four properties we
have selected.
Wrenshot House, High Legh,

The Noseley Hall Estate, Leicestershire
Grade II listed and extending to about 1,264 acres, Noseley Hall is without question one
of Leicestershires most beautiful estates set in wonderful rolling countryside. Built in
circa 1725 and remodelled in the late 19th century, the house has an elevated position
with stunning views across its gardens, land and the countryside beyond. I ts believed
that a house has been on the site in some shape or form since the 13th century and the
property has remained in the same family until the present day.
The estate, in addition to Noseley Hall, has a private chapel, stunning gardens and
grounds, 10 farmhouses and cottages, a range of traditional farm buildings, fully
operating walled garden and beautiful parkland, woodland and arable land sustaining a
pheasant shoot.

Coodham House, tucked away amid 90 acres
of secluded gardens and a landscape steeped
in the romance of Robert Burns and the
sporting heritage of golfs greatest pioneers,
is a unique example of traditional country
house living for the modern age.
The former Victorian estate at Symington
in Ayrshire, which was once home to JamesOgilvy Fairlie the man who founded The
Open Championship, is unlike any other
home in Scotland.
Carved pink sandstone, ornate balustrades
and gleaming period sash windows over-
looking rolling lawns provide a picturesque
welcome for visitors as they sweep up the
driveway of the A-Listed property.
The stately grandeur of the four-storey
mansion provides for four luxury apartments,
two lavish duplex residences and three very
individual designer homes created from the
former East Wing, Chapel and West Wing
which range in price from 330,000 to 750,000.
Little more than five years ago Coodham,
which was once one of the most important
country estates in Scotland, was a burnt out
shell. However, after five years of hard work
local craftsmen, working with Turkish marble,
African oak and West Coast quarried
pink sandstone managed to recreate the
outside appearance and construct an entirely
new interior.
Doors and windows were handmade on sitefrom the finest timbers while a contemporary
steel balustrade was created to follow the oak
panelled stair as it curves upwards from
the grand entrance hall towards a source of
natural light emanating from a beautifully
decorated cupola.
Ornate Georgian-style plasterwork inspired
by Robert Adam adds a touch of opulence to
the high ceilings of the spacious apartments
combining period charm with modern
designer kitchens, luxury bathrooms and
state-of-the art technology, including cable free
audio visual facilities, lighting, satellite TV and
a video-voice security system.
Outside, the same attention to detail has
been lavished on the grounds with three
miles of picturesque walks, woodlands and an
ornamental lake, almost a mile in circumf-
erence, attracting a stunning variety of birds
and wildlife.
The gardens, which are regarded as being
of considerable national importance, contain
a variety of rare plants, including spruce
pine, 30 varieties of bamboo and other speciesimported from the Black Forest and California
more than a century ago.
Coodham provides an accessible country
retreat despite being just 27 miles from
Glasgow city centre and six miles from
Prestwick International Airport, which has
frequent flights daily to London, Dublin,
Rome, Paris and more than 30 other world-
wide destinations.

Envision a land encompassing 55 acres offering both sunrises and sunsets. Next, imagine a shoreline stretching 3,000 feet along some of the most
pristine waterfront with soft, sandy beaches. Then, picture a compound of three separate waterfront residences that watch ships come and go
from its two deep water docks. Dream of the deeply dredged, private lagoon with additional docks for safe harbor during storms. Conjure up an
expansive pond, beautiful orchards, indigenous wild life and miles of walking trails to enjoy.
No, not the promo for some exotic vacation destinat ion (or maybe it is). And not the location for the next Pirate movie (but it could be). N
