no contact whatsoever. The laser light is used

to melt and evaporate the material. There is no need to

fasten the workpiece in place during processing. The la-

ser allows microengravings up in the micrometer range.

Laser marking

There are hardly any materials that cannot be

marked by laser. Laser marking is waterproof,

will not wipe off, and is very durable. You can quickly

create in an automated process customised to individual

requirements. The material determines the particular la-

ser technology and the use of energy.

Laser welding

ACSYS laser processing systems are designed

for very fine and precise welding processes.

Depending on the material, different methods are used.

The welding systems work without any material allo-

wance. A flexible output and pulse design makes it pos-

sible to generate particular pulse shapes and pulse trains

for special effects.

Laser cutting

Laser cutting is a thermal separating method

in which complex geometries are generated

with the help of a focused laser beam. Various metals,

plastics, organic materials, and other materials can be

processed.

Laser digitizing

Laser digitizing is based on the conoscopic ho-

lography method, allowing extremely precise

3D digital images of most surfaces. The resulting 3D file

can be used for production and reproduction and can be

easily processed in the CAD software.

The ACSYS product range offers an ideal system for every task in la-

ser materials processing. Unrivaled adaptability allows every standard

machine to be customized into a customer-specific solution.

The application determines the configuration. We integrate various

types of lasers, e.g. fiber laser, or CO2 laser of a wide variety of classes

and wavelengths. We configure a production tool perfectly designed

for your individual requirements by customizing configurations with

additions such as multi-axis functionality for linear and rotational mo-

vements and adding special modules such as camera-programming

using the LAS – Live Adjustment System, the ODC depth measuring

system or the OPR - optical parts recognition.

The very beginning of the production chain is ACSYS metal works. It‘s

where the base frame of the laser system is made from high-tensile

steel or in combination with polymer concrete and granite. Highest

ACSYS offers various laser sources for a wide range of materials

and processing methods. With a power range of 0.5 to 1000 Watts

available, we can find the ideal configuration for every conceivable

application. Our portfolio encompasses everything from fiber lasers

and diode-pumped lasers to CO2 lasers, that may be deployed eit-

her as pulsed laser or as cw-laser beam source. All beam sources

used in laser machines by ACSYS are extremely low-maintenance,

of exceptionally high durability and almost always air-cooled.

ACSYS laser experts can assist you with their profound know-how

and comprehensive testing in finding the most suitable laser source,

or in individual cases even a mix of different types of beam sources,

This compact system provides an economical way to get started in

laser marking. The table system is outstanding for individual parts

and small series of a wide range of materials. The OYSTER is used

whenever small parts must be marked or engraved quickly, flexib-

ly and with high quality. Due to the table layout, the machine can

be set up at any workstation without effort. Applications for the

OYSTER are mainly the jewelery, medical and tool industries, adverti-

sing and wherever laser marking and/or engraving could not be used

in the past for reasons related to space or cost.

The PEARL laser table system from ACSYS combines top-quality,

high-precision laser marking and engraving on filigree precision tools

and jewelry with excellent ergonomics and fast setup.

The PEARL system has been specifically designed to meet the needs

of workshops, labs and manufactories as regards ergonomics. The

PEARL combines a variety of practical innovations in a newly develo-

ped housing that was designed to a complete workstation.

The innovative operating Concept is based on the flexible single-pie-

ce machining system with the unique LAS - Live Adjust System from

ACSYS. The high-resolution camera preview reveals every little detail

of the workpiece, allowing for the positioning of layouts, logos, texts

and graphics with micrometer accuracy.

minimum of space requirements. Fiber laser systems with exceptional

beam quality make the PIRANHA a unique production machine for

laser marking and engraving. For high-precision marks such as punch

marks, fine engraving or 3D laser micro-engraving high-resolution

camera systems, precision packages and multiple axes systems with

Large-surface, segmented marking of stainless steel panels.

The all-in-one from ACSYS features a generously dimensioned and

easily accessible work area and offers enough space for large or pal-

letized workpieces. The vibration-free machine bed, made of vibra-

tion-inhibiting, temperature-stable polymer concrete is ideally suited

to industrial needs. The flexible layout of the BARRACUDA make it

the ideal basis for customer-specific solutions.

High-performance fiber- or diode-pumped lasers with high-speed

The flagship of the ACSYS line offers impressive performance and

extreme precision. It is ideal for fast marking, deep engraving, reli-

ef structure, filigree texturing or for producing 3D shapes with the

highest surface quality. The SHARK is also the basis of the SHARK

cut, the laser cutting center by ACSYS. Precision lasers with up to

1000 Watts ensure adequate power reserves. Up to 5 movable axes

with portal axles and additional rotary swiveling/panning axes for

the galvohead or workpiece offer maximum flexibility, even for lar-

ge or palletized workpieces and custom parts. Optional extensions

including image recognition, depth control, precision packages and

customer-specific special attachments leave no need unanswered,

and make the SHARK an ideal tool for industrial production.

The ACSYS power system provides maximum flexibility in terms of

size and weight for a wide range of workpieces. Due to the flexible

workspace even large, heavy workpieces can be easily loaded, follo-

wed by marking and/or engraving at any desired location. Wide ope-

ning doors allow for loading by crane. Palletized workpieces can be

processed automatically. With up to 5 NC-controlled linear axes, the

ORCA offers a workable surface of at least 2800 x 1000 mm, thus

affording outstanding flexibility even for fully automated operation.

The versatile and flexible modular system offers a wide variety of

configuration options for laser marking, engraving and precision

cutting and welding. The system has numerous interfaces and is

specially designed for integration into individual workstations and

„Marking on the fly“ is one outstanding application for the INLINER sys-

1. High-Precision package

The High-precision package is the basis of all ACSYS

laser systems with a demand for very high accuracy. It

includes high-quality glass scales, a steel plate and high-

precision steel axes.

2. Manual and software-controlled

swiveling galvo heads

A manual or an electric swivelling galvo head can be

positioned from horizontal to vertical for laser processing

on various sides of even complex workpieces in almost

one step.

3. ASC – Automatic scanner calibration

The automatic calibration of the laser galvo head pre-

vents internal temperature drifts.

4. Manual and software-controlled dividing heads

Rotation and swiveling axis for the interior and exterior

marking of rings and cylindrical or conical workpieces.

5. Rotary tables

The rotary table allows for the loading of a fixed parts

mount inside the machine while the lasering process is

in progress, thereby reducing cycle times.

6. NC-controlled cross table

This type of cross table is used to extend the workable

7. ODC - Online Depth Control

μ-exact material removal on depth engraving and 3D

engraving ensures high-precision results. Contactless the

ODC - module measures the current depth of engraving

and adjusts the laser to the exact target depth. The ODC

is based on the technique of conoscopic holography.

8. Positioning systems

The positioning system places the workpiece at a desired

location in accordance selected manual or NC-controlled

settings.

9. Tag magazine feeder

The tag magazines can easily be adjusted for standard

and custom workpiece sizes. It places the stack content

exactly under the laser lens for precise laser marking and/

or engraving.

10. Safety light barrier

Safety light barriers provide an additional safety feature

for machine operators. If an object crosses the barrier,

the current movement of rotation, swivel and linear axes

in the area of the operator is stopped immediately. It also

can be used for start-stop automatism processes.

11. Dual-head laser systems

Two laser galvoheads allow for laser marking and engra-

ving of a workpiece in one process step.

12. DFS - Dual focus system

The dual focus system indicates immediately if the laser

machining head has the right focal distance to the work-

piece. It can also determine the proper focal distance for

surfaces that are hard to reach or measure.

The camera-based LAS – Live Adjust System reduces setup comple-

xity considerably, and facilitates precise positioning even of small

workpieces. A continuous, digital zoom feature reveals the detailed

features of the workpiece. Layouts can be placed very precisely in

this manner. An exact preview projects the target result on screen.

New layouts can be created directly on the workpiece without ha-

ving to take measurements again.

the focal point while the laser process is in progress. This

allows for the handling of open die surfaces without op-

tical distortions or quality compromises. The time-consu-

ming segmentation of the layout into several focus layers

is obsolete.

processing of non-palletized, loose parts. The software

recognizes the position and rotational angle of the work-

The ACSYS quality management is continuously subject to the

ISO 9001 standard as defined by TÜV Deutschland, and guarantees

consistent quality of our manufacturing processes as well as of the

technical components of our suppliers.

Laser systems are subjected to many tests in order to check them

„inside out“, and out project engineers use state-of-the-art testing

equipment to achieve perfect calibration.

The pre-inspection by our customers is usually performed at ACSYS

Mittweida. This is where functionalities and features of the system

are presented to the customer and explained in detail. Possible mo-

difications or extensions can be discussed and implemented directly

at the manufacturing site. Only after you have taken acceptance of

the system will it be packed and shipped.
