Local TV Programmes on SD or HD resolution 提供高清本地電視節目

StartingfromDecember2009,theLibraryrecords localTVprogrammesusing HDTV decoders/ recorders. All new programmes (except CableTVprogrammes)willbeavailableinbettervideoqualityatSD(StandardDefinition)orHD(HighDefinition)in16:9aspectratio.TobetterpreservetheTVarchive,allnewprogrammemasterswillbestoredinTSorMPEGfileinharddisks.

由2009年12月起，圖書館開始以高清電視錄影機錄製本地電視節目。現時除有線電視節目外，所有新收錄電視節目的畫面已提升至標清或高清質素，並以16:9畫面播放。此外，為更妥善保存錄像檔案，所有新錄製的節目母帶將會以電腦硬碟儲存。

《長天落彩霞--任劍輝的劇藝世界》展覽及專題講座(20 November – 4 December 2009)

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Madam Yam Kim Fai since she haspassedawayandtocelebratethesuccessfulinscriptionofCantoneseOperaonthe“RepresentativeListoftheIntangibleCulturalHeritageofHumanity”ofUNESCO,theLibrarypresentedaBookTalkwithFacultyofHumanitiesinDecember2009,featuring the artistic achievement of Madam Yam and a new publication onthis legendaryactress. Besides,a2-weekexhibitionwasheldby theLibrary,presentingphotos,newspaperclippings,periodicals,phonographrecordcoverandotherrelevantpublicationsandcollectiblesonMadamYamprovidedbyherlong-timefans.

為紀念任劍輝女士逝世20周年及慶祝粵劇成功列入聯合國教科文組織《人類非物質文化遺產代表作名錄》，我們與人文學院合作，於2009年12月舉辦了一個專題講座，回顧任女士的精湛表演藝術及介紹最新出版書籍《長天落彩霞--任劍輝的劇藝世界》的特別意義和與眾不同之處。此外，圖書館亦舉行了一個為期兩星期的展覽，展出戲迷借出之珍貴相片、剪報、特刊、戲橋、唱片封套及其他有關物品等。

古籍珍本藏書 傳承中國文化

《四部備要》 中 華 書 局 於 1 9 2 0 至 1 9 3 6 年 編 輯 出 版 了的 《 四 部 備 要 》 ， 共 收 經 、 史 、 子 、 集 四部 書 3 3 6 種 。 本 館 只 藏 有 4 0 種 。 中 華 書 局《校印〈四部備要〉緣起》云：「吾國學術，統於四部，然《四庫》著錄之書，浩如煙海，坊肆流傳之籍，棼若亂絲，承學之士，別擇維艱，……同人有鑑於此，爰於前年，擇吾人應讀之書，求通行善本，匯而集之，顏曰《四部備要》，……經、史、子、集最要之書，大略備矣。」*《四部備要》可谓世人「應讀之書」、「最要之書」。本叢書依原刻本用聚珍仿宋版排印，選有代表性的校本、注本，是學習和研究古代文獻的常備書籍。* 引自《“中國傳統文化與21世紀”國際學術研討會論文集》，中華書局, 2003年

《叢書集成初編》

《叢書集成初編》這部大叢書由王雲五主編、商務印書館1935至1937年陸續印出3467冊。1985年中華書局用上海商務印書館本影印，補齊533冊，共4000冊。本館現藏有1025種，共2175冊。編輯者選擇了宋代至清代較為重要的百部叢書排印，少數影印。叢書共分10類：總類、哲學類、宗教類、社會科學類、語文學類、自然科學類、應用科學類、藝術類、、文學類及史地類等。

商務印書館原書目凡例介紹：「初編叢書百部之選擇標準，以實用與罕見為主；前者為適應要需，後者為流傳孤本。」這百部叢書，以刊本朝代分，宋代3種，元代1種，明代25種，清代71種；以叢書性質分，普通叢書80種，專科叢書12種，地方叢書8種。對於研究我國古代文化遺產，傳播中國文化具有重要作用。

拾遺不報等同盜竊﹗圖書館各處均設有24小時保安錄影。如拾獲任何物品，請立即交到校園保安控制中心P111室(P座1樓)或 圖書館正門警衛崗位。
