La fijacin de nitrgeno (N2 + 3H2 ---- NH3) es un

proceso exergnico.Sin embargo tiene una energa de activacin

extremadamente alta. El enlace N=N es muy estable.

Produccin industrial de amonio a partir de H2 y N2400 a 500 oC a varios cientos de atmsferas de presin.

El amonio se incorpora en las biomolculas como glutamato o glutamina

-Estos dos aminocidos son la entrada del amonio en otras molculas.

-Glutamato es el donador de los aminos para otros aminocidos por transaminacin.

-La amida de glutamina tambin es donador en varias rutas de biosntesis.-Estos aa pueden estar 10 veces mas concentrados que el resto de los aa.

En animales no hay esta enzima pero glutamato se produce portransaminacin de

E-cetoglutarato durante catabolismo de aa.

Tambin se puede producir porglutamato deshidrogenasa
