As you are all aware, Fed has made an important decision in May 2013 that will effect the global markets and conveyed that they will reduce their bill of exchange purchases. So we wondered the effects of this decision both on the world and on Turkey and worked on a cover story also by consulting the views of esteemed academists evaluating what is awaiting us in the economy of 2014. I should say from now that, as you will read on our cover story, what is waiting for Turkey is rather cautious days than a compelling period. We have formed a new section in this issue of our magazine. We aimed to get you better acquainted with Istanbuls trademark buildings and architects on these pages. The first guest of this new section has been Levent Loft building. We hope that you will read our interview with the architect of the building Melkan Tabanlioglu from Tabanlioglu Architects with pleasure. Also, since the Turkish banks started to have a more active role in ensuring finance, the capacity of the local companies is used more effectively in recent years. Serious infrastructure investments have been made in the last ten years. What is the return of these investments for insurance companies in terms of figures? The data is provided by the Undersecretariat of Treasury and as I mentioned before, a large part of the relevant premium goes to the reinsurers outside of Turkey due to the need of reinsurance. As IBS, we provided insurance and reinsurance brokerage service for the investments that require the project financing of approximately $7,5 billion in Turkey to date. Considering that in these projects, 90% of the premium paid goes to the foreign reinsurers, unfortunately, the domestic insurance companies are not benefitting from the returns of these investments as it is predicted.
