He was the first person who introduced the method of gravel pumping mine from Penang to Phuket in the Wichit district in 1927. He was also the second person to perform excavation ship mining in 1938.

Public worksHe donated the land for Hongyokbumrung School, the land for Mission Hospital, Anuphatkritdaram Temple construction and participated in the building and construction of Phuket Huabun School, etc.

The History of Chinese Schools in PhuketThe first Chinese School in Thailand was built in 1782 the era of His Royal Highness King Rama the 1st of the Chakri Dynasty in 1782. It was called “Koh Rian” in Ayudthaya. Then in 1852 during the reign of His Royal Highness King Rama the 4th The American Mission opened a School Boarding House at Arunratchawararam temple and used Chinese as the main tuition language.

the “Jia Chai” or “Vegetarian” festival, a big fest of Chinese-Thai populace which lasts from late September through early October represents an icon of Phuket known by people all over the world. the festival takes place from the first until the ninth evening of the 9th Chinese lunar month.

falls in the seventh lunar month of the Chinese calendar to help the wandering spirits from starvation.

Early in the seventh month, this festival takes place at Shidshae-niewmah Chinese shrine. The offering items are turtles (signifying greater longevity)to worship their ancestors, Phortor Gong, whose is the principal in Phortor ceremony of Mahayanaism

It had been form by rich Chinese people who donated money to the poor Chinese people, to public works, to build schools, to build hospital, to build almshouseand and accommodation for homeless people. Later it had been established to be The Kusonsongkhroh Foundation of Phuket in 1941 and has maintained its objective until the present.
