ProBuilt Professional Lighting, LLC announces our newest product, the Nightsearch-

er WorkStar portable, rechargeable LED floodlight. The 10 high-powered LEDs pro-

vide 2200 lumens on high and 1000 lumens on low. A 110 pivoting head allows for

a bright white floodlight beam and an even spread of light. The WorkStar can be

mounted to an optional tripod for optimal light positioning. The Lithium ion battery

provides power for 7 hours on low and 3 hours on high and requires no maintenance.Compact and extremely lightweight, the WorkStar is easy to carry and both a car

charger and wall charger can be stored inside the back of the light head. The unit is

water and shock resistant and suitable for use in all weather conditions. Cool op-

eration enables the WorkStar to be used in confined spaces, making it ideal for the

contractor, utility worker, MRO and portable site lighting.

Ideal Industries, Inc. is bringing enhanced safety to contrac-

tors with its 61-685 Infrared (IR) Thermometer, the non-contact way

to capture the surface temperature of mechanical equipment, electri-

cal breakers, and building systems from a distance, allowing preven-

tive diagnostics to be performed while machinery and circuits are in

    operation.

The IDEAL IR thermometer lets contractors measure live cir-

cuits or moving parts from a comfortable distance to create a safer

work environment. With its one-handed operation, the 61-685 is one of

the simplest but most accurate IR thermometers on the market today, as

well as one of the most affordable.

Completely portable, the 61-685 delivers performance characteristics typically found in

more expensive thermometers. In addition to its 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio, it provides a wide

temperature range of -76F to 932F (-60C to 500C), and a built-in laser pointer to identify

the center of the measurement area. Adjustable emissivity enhances accuracy of its readings

on reective or non-reective surfaces. Maximum, minimum, average and differential tempera-

ture readings are instantly displayed on its backlit LCD to allow for quick action. Plus, an oper-

ator can program high and low temperature points with audible alarm warnings that are activat-

ed when the temperature exceeds an established point.

Along with electrical troubleshooting and general maintenance applications, the 61-685

is an excellent solution in the HVAC, health and safety, and process control elds. To add to its

versatility and value, a built-in socket supports Type K thermocouple probes allowing obstruct-

    ed areas to be reached.

The IR thermometer further broadens IDEAL's full line of testing solutions to meet the

diversied needs of electricians, maintenance engineers and data communications technicians

with products suited to the specic requirements of each application.

Thermoset Jacket Solution for Industrial Applications

HaloarrestXLink thermoset jackets do not melt at any level of heat or when exposed to flame, protect-

ing workers and preventing damage to expensive machinery. Like Beldens LSZH thermoplastic jack-

ets, HaloarrestXLink thermoset jackets provide a safe, non-toxic, non-corrosive alternative for organi-

zations that prefer to use non-halogenated products. Belden offers two thermoset jacketing options:

HaloarrestXLink-1, which is compliant with the UL-1277 Oil Res I requirement and HaloarrestXLink-2,

which is compliant with the UL-1277 Oil Res II requirement.

    Safety Concerns Growing

In Europe and increasingly in the United States, safety concerns are encouraging the adoption of

LSZH jackets in areas where there is limited ventilation, sensitive equipment or unprotected human

or animal populations that could be exposed to toxic fumes. In many countries,

non-halogenated cable is now the standard.

Halogen-containing polymers, such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and fluorinated eth-

ylene propylene (FEP), are inherently flame retardant, however, when halogens do

burn, they produce smoke and acid gas that are toxic and corrosive, posing a threat

to both humans and equipment. Halogenated cable can release acid gases that sear

the eyes, nose, mouth, and throat. The fumes can disorient workers, preventing them fromescaping a blaze. They can also cause severe respiratory damage.

    Safety andReliability

    The HaloarrestXLink LSZH

    Thermoset Jacket has been tested

    against many common and uncom-

    mon environmental corrosives. It is

industry-approved for installationsand applications that require oil

    resistance, weather and sun re-

    sistance, abrasion resistance and

    resistance to oxidation, acid and

    ozone. Installations of HaloarrestX-

    Link-jacketed cable provide safety

    without compromising reliability,

thus mitigating the risk of downtime

    related to cable failure.

    Availability

    The HaloarrestXLink jacket is

available for order now in North

    and South America.
