Brief history of VoskopojaVoskopoja sot është një nga pikat më të fuqishme turistike e kulturore në rajonin e Korçës. Kjo i dedikohet pozicionit gjeografik malor, peisazhit të bukur gjithëvjetor dhe historisë thuajse legjendare të këtij qyteti të dikurshëm. Zanafilla e vendbanimit mendohet të ketë qënë rreth shek.14të. Kulmin e lulëzimit e arriti në fillim të shek.18të, duke u cilësuar si “Metropol tregëtar i Epirit” dhe “qyteti i dytë më i madh në Perandorinë Otomane, pas Stambollit”. Bashkëkohësit thonë se numëronte gati rreth 50,000 banore. Në këtë periudhë kishte 26 kisha ku sot numerohen 8 të tilla. Ka pasur një shkollë të lartë të quajtur “Akademia e Re” (1744), bibliotekë (1710), shtypshkronjë me emrin e “Shën Naumit” (1714), spital, azil për të vobektit dhe mbi 20 organizata esnafore. Qyteti kishte rrugë të gjera me kalldrëme, trotuare dhe kanalizime, fragmente të të cilave mund të shihen ende sot. Tregëtarët Moskopolitë frekuentonin rregullisht tregjet e të gjitha qendrave kryesore të Ballkanit dhe të Europës. Ka pasur personalitete të shquara, si Teodor Kavalioti, Sevasti Leontiadhi, Mihal Gora, Grigor Moskopoliti, etj., Fundi i këtij lulëzimi erdhi së bashku me shkatërrimin total të qytetit, gjatë viteve 1769,1772 e 1789, por u shkatërrua përfundimisht më 1916, gjatë Luftës së Parë Botërore. Që atëhere Voskopoja u transformua në një fshat të vogël me pak rëndësi nga ana ekonomike. Por sot ështe shumë e rëndësisshme të vlersohet ky SIT si qënder e rëndësishme historike dhe me vlera të mëdha turistike në të ardhmen

Today Voskopoja is one of the strongest points of cultural tourism in the region of Korca. This is dedicated to its geographical position, beautiful perennial landscape and almost legendary history of this ancient city. The origins of the settlement is thought to have been around 14th centuary. The blooming peak was reached in early 18th centuary, being described as "the rest of Epirus trade" and "the second largest city in the Ottoman Empire, after Istanbul." Contemporaries say that they numbered about 50,000 residents. In this period there were 26 churches while today they count eight of such. There was a high school called "New Academy" (1744), library (1710), print with the name of "St. Naum" (1714), hospital, sanctuary for the blind and over 20 organizations. The town has broad cobbled streets, sidewalks and sewers, fragments of which can still be seen today Moskopolitë traders regularly frequented markets of all major centers in the Balkans and Europe. There were prominent personalities such as Theodore Kavalioti, Sevast Leontiadhi, Mihal Gora, Grigor Moskopoliti, etc.., The end of the boom came along with the total destruction of the city, over the years 1769, 1772 and 1789, but eventually collapsed in 1916 during the First World War. Since then Voskopoja was transformed into a small village with less economical importance. But todayit is neccessary to evaluate this as an important historical center and with major tourist value in the future.

Është ndërtuar në 1632. Është i dekoruar me afreske të bukura nga murgu artist Andon Shipska. Fshati Shipska në Komunën e Voskopojës mban emrin e tij dhe sot. Ka pasur gjithashtu edhe një kishë të vogël pranë Manastirit të quajtur Shën Triakondet.

Is constructed in 1632. It is decorated with beautiful murals from the artist monk Andon Shipska. Shipska village at the Voskopoja commune carries its name even today. A small church, called Shen Triakondet has been constructed in the surroundings of the Convent.

Daton në 1712 dhe prezanton punime nga artisti David Selenica. Çdo vit në Voskopojë festohet festa e Shën Mërisë në 15 Gusht. .

Dates in 1712 and it represents the works of the artist David Selenica. Every 15th August of each year in Voskopoja it is celebrated the Saint Marry feast

Was constructed in 1751, but few things are known regarding its founders or its artist. The murals inside the church unfortunately are in a bad state (very damaged). There has been another church near her called, Saint Sotir Church.

It was reconstructed in 1724. There exist murals from the Zografi’s brothers and David Selenica. Inside her it states amother church, that of Saint Triadas. The resto-rations done in this basilica are documented.

Ski sport is organised in Voskopoja. There are 2 ski platforms, one is located 1400 m above the sea level with a longitude of 800m, while the other is located 1600 m above the sea level with a longitude of 700m. After the year 1990 Voskopoja has its own team of skiers composed of 10 skiers who compete in the national ski competitions. The team is leaded by the former skier Mr. Anton Falo and actually they have achieved very good results in the national competitions level. During the last national ski competition organised in Dardha village of Korca region, Mrs. Anxhelina Falo has wan the first place and is declared the Albanian ski champion for the youth category. Three types of sports are organised in Voskopoja: sledding with ski, walking with ski and coaster sledding. In Voskpoja you will find the needed equipments for ski sport, trainees for children, youth and adults.
