Yasuyuki Sone:Phase transition of the two-dimensional Ising-like spin model

To study the phase transition phenomena, I employ a Ising-like spin model for the considering system. The spin

size is 1. The states of the spin level are+1,0,-1,with the degeneracy in each level. To investigate the model,I adopt

two approximations, the mean-field one and the Bethe-Peierls one. I obtain the transition temperature of the phase

transition in this model and the degrees of the phase transition in these two approximations. Under some respective

conditions on the degeneracy and interaction parameters,the transitions of first-order and second-order can occur.

Takeshi Tamashiro:3-D Images Face Recognition Using HOG Feature

The face recognition method using the present 2-D color image has a problem of appearance changing that

measurement condition,such as lighting,makeup,direction of a face,position change,change,and it becoming impossible

to perform stable attestation. In order to cope with these problems and to prepare various images,registration takes time,

the quantity of registration data becomes huge,and processing time becomes long. In this research,the above-mentioned

problem is solved by using 3-D images. First,the distance image is generated from 3-D images measurement of a face,

and amount of the HOG features extracts the feature. The subspace is designed from the learning patterns constituted of

HOG feature,and the face recognition is performed by calculating the similarity.

Fumihiro Egawa: A Simulation Method Using Real 3-D Shape Measurement Data and Virtual

Hair Model

A 2-D simulation of human head using individual 2-D face image is put into practical use in amusement and cosmetic

fields. In recent years,a development of 3-D simulation is expected as a method for more accurate communication. In

this paper,we propose a 3-D simulation method that can express human head with hair merging individual 3-D shape

model of real human face measured using optimal intensity-modulation pattern projection technique and virtual 3-D hair

model created in dynamically. Furthermore,we present that the hair area deficiency problem is improved by a merge

using standard 3-D head shape model.

川口修平:三次元計測手法を用いた顔向き検出に関する研究

Shuhei Kawaguchi:A study on the facial angle detection using the 3-D measurement technique

Dangerous driving and car accidents have happened by the various factors. In this study,I focus on the inattentive

driving as an accident occurrence factor. According to the statistics of The Comprehensive Analysis Center of traffic

accident in 2010,inattentive driving accounts for 16.1%of the whole factor. It is the phenomenon which can be observed

by eyes and facial angle,therefore it’s generally believed that you can reduce such the operation with safe driving support

system. Then, some prevention systems for inattentive driving with 2-D face picture are mainly proposed. However

facial angle detection using 2-D face recognition technique has some problems. Therefore the 2-D technique is important

to obtain stability information of facial color on images. That facial angle detection becomes impossible for change of

environmental lights and direction of a shadow. To solve these problems, I propose a new method that measure the

driver’s facial form by the 3-D image measurement technique,calculate the facial angle. The experiment results show

effectiveness of proposed method. The form of a partial domain was acquired to a mannequin with the slit projection

measurement technique. And the facial angle is computed from the form. As a result,the good measurement was able

to be obtained at the facial angle of between -20°and 20°.

藤川卓哉:NMRによる磁気混晶Co Mn Cl・2HOの磁性研究

Takuya Fujikawa:Magnetic Study of Random Mixture Co Mn Cl・2HO by proton NMR

The temperature dependence of proton NMR spectra of the random mixture Co Mn Cl・2H O with competing

exchange interactions shows that in increasing temperature the line shape becomes to be sharp even at the low Mn

concentration region in Co-type antiferromagnetic phase(Co-type AF). The observed results ware compared with the

numerical calculated ones of magnetic model. The magnetic model is assumed that in increasing temperature Mn

moments quickly fluctuate when Mn moment is paired with the nearest Mn moments,and the magnitude of fluctuating Mn

moments becomes to be zero. The numerical calculated results well reproduce the behavior of the observed temperature

dependence of NMR spectra. This result suggests that in increasing temperature Mn moments fluctuate even in the low

Mn concentration region in the Co-type AF by competing exchange interactions.

Kunio Muta: Majority-Carrier Lifetime in Nickel-Doped Silicon by Means of Microwave Photocon-

ductive Decay(μ-PCD)

3d transition-metal impurities in silicon such as iron, copper and nickel have high diffusion coefficient and low

solubility,compared with phosphorus and boron.

A large fraction of the nickel atoms dissolved in silicon crystal occupies interstitial sites,which is electrically inactive,

the rest (about 10 to 10 ) remaining at the substisutional sites,which is electrically active. Because the fraction of

electrically active species is too small,it is controversial whether nickel is electrically active,or not.

In the present paper,the lifetime of the majority-carrier in nickel-doped n-type silicon is studied using microwave

photoconductive decay(μ-PCD)method. Theμ-PCD is measured by observing the 9 GHz microwave absorption under

light pulse emitted from xenon lump. The majority-carrier lifetime is derived from the time constant of theμ-PCD

transient.

It has been concluded that electrically active nickel atoms are active for the carrier generation-recombination and that

is given by

Renwu Gao:An object search method based on robot vision

Robot vision technique has been widely used in recently society. Object search,recognition and tracking is one of

the important applications in robot vision field. In this paper,we developed a human classification and tracking system

using robot PaPeRo,which is developed by NEC Company. In order to shorten the search time,we proposed the optimal

rotation angle in both horizontal and vertical directions, and the optimal search order. Besides, we developed an

application of human classification and feature extraction using AdaBoost algorithm. Finally,we used the extracted

feature to measure 3D information of the target object,and built the system of object tracking system using the measured

3D information.

楊 景旭:Kinect を用いた人体頭部姿勢推定

Jingxu Yang:Posture Estimation of Humen Head using Kinet

In recent years,facial recognition and posture estimation of human head become increasingly important in many areas,

such as safe driving. But the traditional method using 2-D color image to recognize the facial features of human head and

then tracking the changes of coordinates of these facial features has some problems. For example, it could be easily

affected by make-up.

In order to solve the above problem,we propose the 3-D posture presumption technique of human head. First,we

obtain the 3-D point cloud image of human head by a new device named Kinect,and then we use this 3-D point cloud

image to presume the posture of it. But ICP algorithm also has some problems. The main problem is that the time of

calculation is long. One reason of it is the point number of the point cloud is very large. So we make some improve-

ments to ICP.

安倍 輝:微生物反応器を用いたフローインジェクション型BODセンサシステムの特性

Hikaru Abe:Characteristics of a flow-injection BOD biosensor system composed of microbial

bioreactor and detecting electrode

A flow injection analysis system for determination of biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) was constructed by

combining a microbial reactor and an electrochemical detector. A Shochu distillery wastewater (SDW)-assimilating

microbe isolated from a soil collected in Kyushu Island was immobilized on granules of zeolite ceramic“Biopharm”

commercially available for water filtration,and the immobilized microbes were packed into the reactor colum. The flow

cell of three electrodes configuration was assembled with a graphite rod as a working electrode. Potassium ferricyanide

(PFC)and thionin acetate were employed as the redox mediator for the microbial catabolism.Consequently,amperometric

output current was found to yield a peak with injection of SDW and/or OECD synthetic wastewater sample using

mediator-containing phosphate buffer as the mobile phase. The sensor response expressed in terms of the electronic

charge obtained from the peak area showed almost linear correlation with the dilution rate of a sample,demonstrating the

present sensor system to be a useful method for estimating BOD of an organicwastewater.

Yuta Uchida:Biochemical analysis of2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid dioxygenase

2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D)-degrading bacteria are categorized into 3 classes on the basis of their

phylogenetic characteristics and the sequences of the genes encoding the 2,4-D degrading enzyme. The molecular

mechanism underlying 2,4-D degradation by class II 2,4-D degraders,which belong to the genus Sphingomonas,has not

been characterized. Here, I have described the construction of an overexpression system and characterization of the

recombinant 2,4-D degrading enzyme 2,4-D dioxygenase (subunits encoded by cadA and cadB) from Sphingomonas

agrestis 58-1. The pET30c vector,which shows high expression of a fusion protein with a poly(His)tag,was used for

overexpression of the cadA and cadB genes. Recombinant CadA (rCadA)was overproduced in Escherichia coli in an

insoluble form,solubilized in the presence of 8 M urea,and refolded by removing urea.Recombinant CadB(rCadB)was

overproduced in soluble form and purified using metal affinity columns. When the purified recombinant proteins were

mixed and added to a solution containing 2,4-D and the various metal ions no 2,4-D-converting activity was detected by

HPLC analysis involving a reverse-phase column.

Yuichiro Kamachi:Synthesis anisotropic poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)hydrogels hybridized with

various liquid crystalline clay mineral nanosheet and there properties and

structure

Anisotropic hydrogels of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) hybridized with liquid crystalline clay mineral nanosheets

(fluorotetrasilisic mica;FTSM, fluorohectrite;FHT and montmorillonite) were synthesized and their properties were

investigated. The gels hybridized with liquid crystalline clay mineral nanosheet were observed with macro optical

anisotropy. Due to the anisotropy in the structure of the hybrid gels,the gels also showed anisotropy in thermally induced

volume phase transition at around 34℃ upon increasing the temperature. Further,the FTSM gels showed anisotropy of

compressive mechanical strength. When FTSM and FHT concentration is less than 1wt%and 3wt%, modulus of

compressive elasticity increased with the concentration of FTSM and FHT. On the other hand,modulus of compressive

and tensile elasticity decreased aboved 1wt%. The largest compressive modulus is montmorillonite hibriddized gel among

clay concentration 3wt%.Finaly tried to control the orientation of the nanosheet in the gels using interfacial tension and

shear

葛 君:鉄系新型超伝導の臨界電流特性に関する研究

Jun Ge:Critical current characteristics in Fe-based pnictides superconductors

Since it has been discovered,the superconducting Fe-based pnictides family is largely expected for its applications.

As the critical current density is the one of most important factors for applications,we aim to quantitatively estimate and

clarify the critical current characteristics and flux pinning properties. The critical current density and pinning mechanism

have been investigated by Campbell’s method in superconducting Sr K FeAs (122 type) polycrystalline crystal and

Ba K FeAs (122 type)single crystal.

The critical current densities flows within the grains and through the whole sample respectively, i.e., J and

J , were separately estimated and discussed within the frameworks of weak-link properties and history effect in

superconducting Sr K FeAs (122 type)polycrystalline crystal. The values of J were obtained as large than 10

A/m at T=25K and the magnetic field less than 8T,while the values of J remain at an low level of 10~10 A/

m at T=25K and B< 0.5T. The history effect in J was investigated in detail. It was found that the estimate of

local J from the explanation of history effect based on the micro-bridge model in consistent with that obtained.

On the other hand,the critical current characteristics and flux pinning properties in Ba K FeAs (122 type)single

crystals were investigated. Unlike the phenomenon of co-existence of the global and local critical current densities

observed in many polycrystalline Fe-based superconducting pnictides,it was found that only a uniform critical current

density(J )flows through the whole sample. However,the value of J is much smaller than the local critical current

density observed in polycrystalline samples,implies a dissimilarity of flux pinning mechanism between these two kinds of

materials. The force-displacement characteristic of fluxoids in sample was investigated. The labusch parameter and the

interaction distance were found to be well consistent with the theoretical prediction based on a simple flux pinning

mechanism.

Kotaro Shimasaki: Synthesis of Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)/Liquid Crystalline Clay Composite

Gels by Gamma Radiation

The anisotropic gels of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)hybridized with liquid crystalline(LC)clay nanosheets,which

show improved mechanical strength,were synthesized by gamma-ray-induced polymerization and cross-linking. The

aqueous mixture of monomer and LC nanosheet were radiated by the Gamma-ray at Co radiation source at Japan

Atomic Energy Agency to synthesize the gels. Concentration of the LC clay in the gel is adjusted to 0,1,2 and 4 wt%.

In the gels synthesized in a glass capillary,the nanosheets were oriented macroscopically along the long axis of the glass

capillary as revealed by polarized light microscope observation and small-angle X-ray scattering measurement. The gel

also showed anisotropy in thermo-responsive volume phase transition. The elasticity of the gel was 87.15 kPa at

maximum and this value is about 23 times as good as the gels synthesized by using a chemical cross-linker.

Mami Turuyama:Synthesis of Lamellar Clay Minerals -Polylysine Complex and Its Propertie

Lamellar clay minerals-polylysine complexe were synthesized by a culture of lysine producing microbe in medium

containing with lamellar clay minerals (Fluorohectolite,Kunipia G,Laponaite XLG,Sumekuton SA). Each complex

was analyzed by rotational viscometer. Fluorohectorite complex only showed a significanly high viscosity. It means that

a physical gel was successfully synthesized from Fluorohectolite and polylysine. In order to determine the properties of

the bio-synthesized complexes, another complex was synthesized from the fluorohectorite and chemically synthesized

polylysine which was obtained by a thermal polycondensation of L-lysine.Some properties of bio-synthetic complex was

compared with that of the chemical synthetic one. Both complexes ware significantly high viscosity. The chemical

synthetic complex showed a liquid crystallinity by the cross Nichol observation, although bio-synthetic complex.

Hiroyuki Nakagaki: Development of a microbial biosensor system for 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic

acid

However,it is“expensive machinery”,“long analysis time,”there are such problems. On the other hand,research

is currently underway of the biosensor using enzymes and microbes to solve their problems. Therefore,in these study

porous particles for immobilized microorganisms was produced flow-type bioreactor. In addition,we made a immobil-

ized tyrosinase electrode of 2,4-Dichlorophenol(2,4-DCP)to detect the degradation productsof microorganisms. Attempt

was made to develop a sensor system using 2,4-D the two.Sensor system was confirmed by examining whether the current

response is normal. As a result,this sensor system was working properly. Volume flow rate 1.5 ml/min,the particles

are immobilized bacteria 4 ml, limit of detection should be a concentration of 0.2 mM 2,4-D was found.In addition,

microorganisms possess the ability to decompose the A used in this experiment can be divided into three major classes.

In particular,for Class has been studied.Therefore, this study attempted to increase the sensitivity of the biosensor by

performing a search for new microbial decomposition

Kouhei Nakatsuka:Effects of lanthanide elements on the sintering behavior of bismuth titanate

ceramics prepared by a chemical coprecipitation method

Recentry,Bismuth Titanate BiTiO (BIT),attracts much attention as alternative of Lead zirconate titanate(PZT)

ceramics due to the RoHS direction for the application of piezoelectric devices and ferroelectric memories. Several works

showed that the substitution of Bi by lanthanide(Ln)elements drastically improved the leakage current and the remnant

polarization, however, the effects of Ln addition on the sintering behavior of BLT ceramics has not been well-

docummented. In this paper,Bi TiO (Ln=La,Nd,Gd;x=0,0.25,0.5,0.75 and 1.0)fine powders were prepared by

the chemical coprecipitation method. Suitable calcination temperature for each powder was determined. The effects of

Ln-substitution on the sintering behaviors,crystal structure,microstructures of sintered bodies were investigated.

immobilized microbes electrode

A microbial sensor system for determination of biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) of flow injection mode was

developed and characterized. The sensing device was prepared by depositing a layer of microorganisms entrapped in

gelatin gel onto a carbon rod electrode. A shochu distillery wastewater (SDW) -assimilating bacteria,Burkholdelia

cepacia M-1 was isolated from a soil collected in Saga prefecture.Potassium ferricyanide(PFC)was employed as a redox

mediator for the microbial catabolism. Consequently,amperometric output current was found to yield a peak with an

injection of SDW and/or OECD synthetic wastewater sample using PFC-containing phosphate buffer as the mobile phase.

The response could be considered to arise from electrochemical oxidation of microbially produced ferrocyanide. It was

ascertained that the sensor responsibility was considerably influenced by the flow rate of carrier solution and the amount

of depositedmicroorganisms.

吉田昌史:ナノ多結晶ダイヤモンド製切削工具に対するレーザ成形技術

Masafumi Yoshida:Laser Forming Technique of Nano-Polycrystalline Diamond Cutting Tool

Nano-Polycrystalline Diamond (NPD),made of nano-sized diamond with a size of several 10 nanometers,is harder

than single-crystal diamond (SCD)and has no cleavage planes. So,the NPD is expected to become a promising next

generation cutting tool material.However,the NPD does not have crystal plane machinability by mechanical lapping.

This means that both forming techniques should be developed to adapt the NPD to cutting tools. One is rough forming

technique and the other is finishing technique. In this research project,an attempt was made to develop a laser forming

technique that can fabricate the NPD test piece into single point cutting tool in high speed. In addition,cutting test of

cemented carbide with a Vickers hardness of 1,350 Hv was conducted to evaluate the wear resistance and the chipping

resistance of the cutting edge.

Takeshi Oosaki:Oxidation and Residual Stress in Oxide Layer of NiCrAlY Coating

The purpose of this study was to understand the effect of spraying method on residual stress in thermally grown oxide

(TGO) on NiCrAlY coating. NiCrAlY alloy coat was sprayed by air plasma spraying (APS) and high velocity

oxygen-fuel spraying (HVOF),respectively,on a nickel based superalloy. The thermal exposure tests were conducted in

air at 1000℃ and 1100℃, respectively. The residual stress in TGO was measured by photo luminescence piezo-

spectroscopy(PLPS),which increased with an increase in thermal exposure time. The residual stress of APS coating at

1000℃ was higher than that of HVOF coating. However,residual stress of the APS coating at 1100℃ was almost the

same as that of HVOF coating. The residual stress of polished HVOF coating was higher than that of as-sprayed HVOF

coating. The relationship of the residual stress in TGO with the oxide thickness and surface roughness was explored.

A tensegrity structure consists of rigid rods and flexible wires. This system can vary the form by changing wire

lengths. This paper presents the fourth prototype of tensegrity robot for locomotion. In many cases,it is presumed that

some wires are leaded from a single wire-exit point in order to calculate the kinematics easily,even though they are not

actually. Therefore the result of kinematics calculation has a margin of error. In this paper,the wire-end-point device

is proposed to overcome the difficulty. Furthermore,the calculation method of balancing internal force is proposed.

Yuta Kimura: Experimental Study on the Forced Heating and Natural Cooling of a Colloidal

Damper

Colloidal dampers are able to dissipate large amounts of mechanical energy without significant heating,and such

result is surprising since traditional hydro-pneumatic absorbers transform almost integrally the dissipated energy into heat.

Trying to get deeper insight into this phenomenon, in this experimental work, using a thermographical method the

temperature distributions on the external surface of a colloidal damper are recorded during its forced heating followed by

its natural cooling. Employed compression-decompression cylinder is axially divided into two chambers,one of constant

volume and the other of variable volume. Silica particles are introduced inside the cavity of fixed volume(silica tank),

and a micro-filter is used to separate it by the chamber of variable volume,in which only water is supplied. Two main

heat sources are identified as the silica tank (colloidal effect)and the packing used to seal the cylinder(frictional effect).

Tests prove that heating/cooling through colloidal effect is much slower than heating/cooling through frictional effect.

However,depending on the working frequency,generated heat power through colloidal effect can exceed the generated heat

power through frictional effect. Based on the experimentally observed slow speed of heating/cooling through colloidal

effect,one suggests that silica tank can be regarded from a thermal standpoint as a thermostat.

Masayuki Kobayashi: Study of ultrasonic transmission system using along waveguide with an

acoustic horn

Nondestructive inspection of a high temperature structure is required in order to guarantee its safety. However,there

are no useful sensors for high temperature structures.Some of them cannot work over 50℃. Another one is too expensive

to use. The sensing system,which can transmit and receive an ultrasonic wave which travels a long distance using a long

waveguide,has been studied. We could confirm that a guided wave can travel more than 10m using a thin bar with a

2-mm diameter as a waveguide. However,it is difficult to transmit and receive an ultrasonic wave which returns from

the bottom surface of a test specimen. We tried to improve the trial inspection system using a conical-shaped acoustic

horn. The received signal reflected at the bottom surface of the test specimen was then successfully detected. A

temperature effect experiment was conducted,and was possible to detect the thickness signal of the test specimen at 264℃.

The influence of a bend was then evaluated to confirm the condition when this system was used in the field. It was

confirmed that a bend had no influence if the radius of curvature is greater than 20mm. The thickness measurement was

completed and confirmed that this system could measure the thickness from 10mm to 100mm. Finally,other driving

methods,for example,the Ni-thin-sheet sensor and PZT transducer,were evaluated for comparison with the developed

method. As a result,it was confirmed that the developed sensor was the best sensor.

Shinichi Kondo: Research of the remote drive method by the piezoelectric vibrator using an

electromagnetic induction coil

Integrated ultrasonic transducers (IUTs) have been developed for high-temperature non-destructive evaluation

applications. In many fields,it would be helpful if a pipe covered by a protective layer of about a 10-cm thickness,during

operation at several hundred degrees Celsius, could be inspected by an IUT. As a first step toward achieving the

inspection of such a pipeline,an induction-based method using coils is presented along with a commercial type PZT-

vibrator. This study focuses on the effects of the separation distance(lift-off)between the coils on the ultrasonic signal

strength and bandwidth. Therefore,many types of electromagnetic induced coils have been fabricated and tested. As a

result,ultrasonic signals were generated and received by the PZT-vibrator on a steel plate with a sufficient strength for the

thickness measurements even if the lift-off was about 25cm and the specimen was heated to about 400℃. However,it was

also observed that the frequency characteristic of the signal changed as the lift-offs increased which was not desirable.

Therefore, this was improved by changing the shape and the wire diameter of the electromagnetic induction coil. In

addition,in order to apply real non-destructive testing,generating a guide wave was tried using this developed method.

As a result,the guide wave was detected by several of the PZT-vibrators. This has led to optimizing the performance of

this developed method.

Tsubasa Tobiishi:Comfortableness Evaluation of an Autovehicle Equipped with Colloidal Suspen-

sions

In this experimental work,frontal and rear colloidal suspensions were designed to replace the traditional suspensions

of a real autovehicle,and travel tests on a normal road with a semi-sinusoidal asphalt step were performed. From the

impulse response of tested autovehicle one evaluates its comfortableness,both based on the K factor method and based

on the equivalent acceleration recommended by the ISO 2631 standard. Results obtained are firstly validated in the case

of classical suspensions consisted of oil dampers mounted in parallel with compression helical springs. Then,colloidal

dampers with and without attached compression springs were evaluated. Ride-comfort decreases at augmentation of the

travel speed and the tire inflation pressure. Although the colloidal suspension was found to provide inferior comfortable-

ness than the classical suspension,results obtained so far are encouraging,since better performances are to be expected by

softening the colloidal suspension. So,three types of suspensions were considered and modeled,the vibration transmis-

sibility from the rough road to the vehicle’s body for all these suspensions was determined under the constraint that

damping varies versus the excitation frequency. Then,the optimal damping and stiffness ratios were decided in order to

minimize the transmissibility of vibration from the rough pavement to the vehicle’s body.

Hikaru Nagamine: Developments of 4-components wind tunnel balance and sports ball aer-

odynamics

The dimple pattern on the golf ball surface greatly affects to the aerodynamic force,which exerted on the driving

distance of the ball. In order to examine the validity of the dimple pattern,it is necessary to measure aerodynamic force

more precisely. Until now, a standard 3-components balance of gauge type had been utilized with some troubles of

temperature drift and load limitation of which has too much load speculation for our measurements purposes.

The wind tunnel balance of air suspension method has been developed in this laboratory. The characteristics of

3-components linearity and interference to another direction are extremely good. The temperature drift of this device was

not observed. Minimum load resolution of this balance was order 0.001[N]under given spring and this speculation is

sufficiently small values for our purpose.

The measured result of aerodynamic force on spinning golf ball and baseball are good agreement with the result of

carefully conducted examination by the load cell of the gauge type.

We had been developing a system to confirm 3-D coordinate(X(t),Y(t),Z (t))of sports ball flight trajectory by

two rotary encoders. The absolute distance r(t)from the camera to a golf ball will be detected in relation to the number

of pixel area of a golf ball on the screen. Zooming mechanism is included in this system and some trials were conducted

to include zooming mechanism.

affected it aerodynamically. Side force was measured for change ball axis 360° rotation by Yaw degree. As the result

of 2-seam and 4-seam ball was direction for side force. This has been proved with the high speed camera image of the

ball which Yano Kouji of Fukuoka Institute of Technology actually throws.

~An attempt by wind tunnel experiment and shooting experiment~

Soccer ball is shot with various velocity and spinning vectors to ball proceeding direction in a game.In this time,the

reliable results of aerodynamic force on spinning soccer ball are not appeared in literature. This may be because of the

difficulty to accomplish the stable rotation of soccer ball in wind tunnel test is very difficult. In this research,a wind

tunnel test was tried to get precise aerodynamic forces on accurately spinning soccer ball. The 3-components aerodynamic

forces and rotating speed are measured on the case of back spinning or side one ball. Using these results,ball flight

trajectory is calculated. The flight orbit was measured using the soccer ball launcher. Some comparisons with the

calculations were conducted. Finally,a method to get more stable rotation of the ball and less influence supporting

system of the ball in wind tunnel experiments are proposed.

ity and Determination Method of Internal Force

This dissertation deals with an investigation on the feedforward position control for musculoskeletal system with

muscular viscosity and proposes a method for the internal force determination. Robot is an example of intelligent

machine widely used in many application fields. According to the specific field of application,the robot is required to

fulfill various skills.In particular,development of robots able to perform flexible and skillful human-like movements is

an important subject of investigation. Thus,the purpose of this study is to develop a robot system close to the human

structure.

As an important feature of the human body,its musculoskeletal structure and especially the internal force working

in muscle is considered. It was proved that based on the movement of the internal force,the human body is able to adapt

to a variety of situations.

This work demonstrates the feedfoward positioning for musculoskeletal system with muscular viscosity. A selection

method of internal force using reinforcement learning was also proposed.

Tsutomu Miyazoe:Torque Dependence on Supprting Leg for Torque Estimation of Leg’s joint

Estimation of joint torque is one of the most important analyses for a human motion. It has been applied to

rehabilitation,sports engineering,power assist device and so on. Especially,the estimation of leg’s joint torque is very

important because the legs are one of the most active and energetic regions for a human life.Usual torque estimation

methods ignored the variation of viscoelasticity depending on the posture of a supporting leg. This paper clarifies the

torque dependence on the posture-change of a supporting leg by use of a leg torque estimation system. Using time-scale

transformation,finally,this paper presents a torque decomposition method. The measured torque is decomposed into a

inertial term,viscosity term,elasticity and gravity term.

Shyota Moribe:Validation of iterative learning control for shape memory alloy wire

In this study,the aim is to develop compact driven systems using shape memory alloy wires(SMA wires),that have

accuracy of micro meters. A SMA wire is small and lightweight metallic material,and can change its length according

to its temperature. Advantageously,the cost of a SMA wire is quite low compared with a DC motor. However,it has

the annoying problem of property fluctuation and fatigue. Therefore,such characteristics must be compensated by the

mechanism and control method.

This paper proposes a control method that consists of a combination of iterative learning control with resistance

control. In addition,the control accuracy is demonstrated through some experimental results.

山本清貴:低速風洞内における羽ばたき飛翔体のその場観測システムに関する研究

Kiyotaka Yamamoto: Study on the In-Situ Observation System of Flapping MAV in the Low

Speed Wind Tunnel

In order to analyze the flight mechanism of flapping micro air vehicles (MAVs), we have developed the flight

experimental system in a low speed wind tunnel. We developed the flight system with feedback control using the image

processing system which consists of the two CCD cameras and the image processing device to measure the position and

the yaw angle of the MAV. We have succeeded in the stable flight of a fixed-wing MAV as an initial stage. In addition,

we manufactured a flapping MAV of two wings. The flapping MAVs were manufactured selecting the optimum

combination between motor and gear to find the driving system with higher lift and lighter weight. We have also

succeeded in the stable flight of this flapping MAV in the wind tunnel.

In order to investigate creep deformation and fracture mechanisms,creep tests were conducted using nylon 6 and

nylon6-clay hybrid nanocomposites(NCH)containing clay of 2 wt%and 5 wt%,respectively. For the creep deformation

tests,it was found by analyzing creep deformation using Burgers model that elastic,visco-elastic and visco-plastic strain

decrease with an increase in clay amount but increase with an increase in testing temperature and stress. For the creep

fracture tests,it was found that creep life in NCH-5 is longer than that of NCH-2 at 50℃. This indicates that the heat

resistance increases with an increase in clay amount. Additionally,it could be found that creep fracture mechanisms of

NCH depend on clay amount and testing temperature

Masaki Yamamoto:Residual Stress Distribution in TGO Layer of Thermal Barrier Coating

In this study,to establish a method of evaluation of interfacial damage,the effects of thermal cycling treatment on the

residual stress distribution in the thermally grown oxide(TGO)layer of thermal barrier coating (TBC)were carried out.

8wt%-Y2O3 stabilized Zr2O3 (8YSZ) was sprayed by atmospheric plasma spraying as top coat on the surface of

CoNiCrAlY alloy by vacuum plasma spraying as bond coat on the surface of the Ni-base superalloy substrate(MarM247).

The thermal cycling treatment was conducted at 400 or 500~1000℃ (Held for 1 h at 1000℃)in air. The distributions

of residual stress in local area in TGO layer were investigated by fluorescence spectroscope. The residual stress in TGO

was not uniformly distributed. The decrease of the residual stress in TGO with an increase in thermal cycles was related

to the crack density in the top coat.

Hu Junfeng:Crack Healing Behavior of SiC Whisker Reinforced SiN Composite Ceramics

SiC whisker reinforced SiN composite was used for studying crack healing behavior. Surface crack and straight-

through crack were introduced on the surface of specimens by Vickers hardness indenter and single edge pre-crack beam

method,respectively. The cracked specimens were heat-treated at 1000,1100,1200 and 1300C for 1 or 5 hours in air.

Bending strength was measured at room temperature in air by three point bending testing system. It was found that the

best heat treatment temperature for SiN /SiC whisker composite material is 1200-1300C. The relationship between

bending strength and logarithm of crack area was near linear and parabolic in the original and heat-treated specimens,

respectively. Crack healing behavior was analyzed by oxidation diffusion-controlled model and oxidation filling model

qualitatively or quantitatively according to oxidation kinetics.

Tool Made of Polycrystalline Diamond

Nano-polycrystalline diamond (NPD)is expected as a promising next generation cutting tool material,since NPD is

harder than the single crystal diamond and does not have cleavage planes. However,NPD does not have crystal plane

machinability by mechanical lapping,this makes it difficult to shape NPD into cutting tools. A dry grinding test of a

NPD using a polycrystalline diamond (PCD)disc as a truer was conducted to clarify the mechanism of thermochemical

reactions to remove chips from the NPD. The PCD disc,in which the cobalt used as a second phase was replaced with

several transition metals by electrochemical machining and radio frequency sputtering,was used as a truer. It was verified

through the grinding test that at least two types of thermochemical reactions generated and affected layers on the ground

surface of the NPD were abraded by diamond grains on the PCD truer.

LSI malfunctions by various noises. In this research,the VoL noise of output I/O noise is analyzed and PCB that

can measure the VoL noise is designed. The method of the measurement operates many outputs I/O on PCB at the same

time and measures the VoL noise. In the first measurement,four outputs I/O were operated at the same time. When only

one output I/O operated, the largest VoL noise was generated. In the second measurement, eight outputs I/O were

operated at the same time. To generate the largest VoL noise from two results of measurement,only one specific output

I/O is operated. The causes of the measurements were routes and wiring lengths of the PCB layout. It will be necessary

to design the routes and the wiring lengths of the PCB layout again in the future.

economy in this paper,we analyze and discuss the economic bubbles in China and finally propose related solutions to

三戸資樹:バースト誤り評価指標を用いた可視光通信機器の試作評価

Motoki Mito: A Prototype Design and Evaluation of Visible-Light Communication Using the

Performance Indexes of Burst Errors

A visible-light communication is a communication technology using the visible light that can be detected by the

human eyes. The strong sudden noises of ambient light cause burst errors and worsen BER of visible-light communica-

tions. In this research, the modified BER and %SES are proposed as the performance indexes of the visible light

communications in consideration of burst errors. Since it is important to determine the threshold value of%SES in order

to avoid the false detections of burst errors at ordinary times, the method of determining is proposed. From the

experimental results,If the threshold values of%SES are set to 3%(in 57600 bps)and 1%(in 9600-38400 bps),it is proved

that%SES is not detected at ordinary times and can be detected at the time of burst errors.

Shinya Miyata: Research on Reshaping and Reconstructing Handwritten Characters Using

Dynamic Font Model

This paper considers the problem of reshaping and reconstructing a typeface of handwriting characters. First,using

pen-tablet device, the hand writing motions are measured and stored. Then, we develop a scheme for constructing

character fonts from measured handwriting motion. The scheme is developed by the dynamic font and a theory of optimal

smoothing splines based on minimum jerk model. Then,Using the Dynamic Programing (DP)matching and the affine

transformation,we reshape the typeface of moeled characters based on some model writings.In adition,by adjusting the

so-called smoothing parameter, in the modeling scheme, the cursive characters as seen in Japanese calligraphy are

constructed. We examine these effectiveness by some experiments.

These days, the report about CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) enlivens newspapers top,and CSR comes to

appear frequently also into business administrator’s talks. Since the reform opening, China has accomplished rapid

economic development and is rising as a market of world attention.Such change of a situation is made into a background,

and a Japanese company is also beginning to think China as important not as a production base but as a market. On

the other hand,while the Chinese government has set forth the strong posture of worker protection,the concern about the

corporate social responsibility in China is increasing. The Japanese companies in China are studying how they should

correspond for this background.

Qiu Mingyue:Empirical Analyses of the “Dogs of the Dow”Strategy:Japanese and Hong Kong

Stock Markets

In this paper,we propose applying the“Dogs of the Dow”investment strategy(DoD strategy),which is a successful

and famous investment strategy in the US,to Japanese and Hong Kong stock markets,and analyze their performances from

various points of view based on results of simulation.

For Japanese stock market,we simulate the strategy based on data from 1981 through 2010. The results show that

on average,DoD investment strategy is superior to NIKKEI 225,though it is not statistical significant. And even after

adjusting for the higher risk of DoD investment strategy by Sharpe ratio,it is still superior to NIKKEI 225.

For Hong Kong stock market from 2000 through 2009,the simulation result shows that the average annual return of

DoD strategy is also higher than Hang Seng Index. Moreover,the risk of DoD strategy is lower than the latter.

Consequently,we conclude that the DoD strategy is effective in both Japanese and Hong Kong stock markets.

Kazuya Kubo: Characteristics measurement of a linear actuator built into spring-mass experi-

mental equipment

This paper describes the development of a linear actuator built into a suspension of a vehicle. The linear actuator

is used not only to convert any mechanical vibration of a vehicle to electric energy,but also to work as active vibration

suppression. A mover of the developed linear actuator,which includes permanent magnets,is linearly driven through a

stator,by vibrations. Nd Fe-B magnets in the mover are placed so that the same magnetic poles face each other,in order

to make the large change in magnetic flux in the coils of the stator. The three-phase coils are placed in the stator with

the same interval of magnets. Alternate coils connected in a series were wound in opposite directions to the next coil,

respectively. The motion of the externally-forced mover was simulated by an interaction analysis of a structural analysis

and a magnetic field analysis,using the finite element method software“ANSYS”. The developed linear actuator was

built into spring-mass experimental equipment. The generating characteristics and the amplitude of the mover were

measured when the mover was driven at a similar frequency of automotive vibration by external force. Furthermore,

stopping place of the mover and static force were measured when the actuator was operated at various combination of three

phase current. It was confirmed that the actual measured values agreed rather well with simulation results.

Yoshihiro Nakazawa: High Efficiency Single-Pulse Control of Switched Reluctance Motor Using

Commutation Angle Control Based on Inductance Slope

Since switched reluctance motors(SRMs)do not have rotor windings,they do not have the copper loss by secondary

current and are high efficiency compared with induction motors. However, the efficiency of SRMs is lower than the

efficiency of permanent-magnet type synchronous motors,since the energy for magnetizing the rotor is required. The

inferiority of efficiency is obstructing the wide uses of SRMs. This master thesis proposes the high efficiency single-pulse

control method. The proposed method consists of the commutation angle control based on inductance slope and the

single-pulse control to concentrate the current at positive torque regions. It is confirmed that the efficiency of proposed

method is higher than those of voltage and current controls by simulations using MATLAB Simulink and experiments.

The efficiency of proposed method is 4.71%higher in the simulations and 6.33%higher in the experiments than the

efficiencies of the voltage and current controls.

Kenya Nakamura: Magnetic domain control in oriented thin-gage silicon-iron sheet through

surface free pole control

Suppression of themagnetic domain widening that occurs with the reduction of sheet thicknessin oriented silicon-iron

is a matter of essential importance for realizinglow power loss characteristics in this material. This paper presentsa new

trial approach to this problem,being based on the control of the surface free pole with a high permeability magnetic layer

deposited on a one-side surface of the sheet. Non-oriented electrical sheet steel generally has a large magnetic free pole

on its surface and grain boundaries due to the large variance in crystallographic orientation of the grains. We made a

trial study to control such a surface free pole by depositing high permeability magnetic layer on the sheet steel, and

investigated its effect on the magnetic properties such as iron loss characteristics. A considerable decrease in the hysteresis

loss has been observed.

The current energy is fossil fuel mainly. There are problem of global warming by carbon dioxide and limited

resource of fossil fuels. The development of new energy is advanced in each district. The fuel cell can be given as the

one.

The polymer electrolyte fuel cell uses platinum as catalyst. However,because platinum is precious metals,the cost

is high. It is one of the factors to prevent the spread of the fuel cell.

Then,MEA coated Pt catalyst was produced using ion sputtering. We aimed at reducing the amount of Pt used. We

report the result of having experimented by including produced MEA in a Direct Methanol Fuel Cell and Polymer

Electrolyte Fuel Cell.

Hashimoto Atsushi: Au agglomerates generated in the annealing process of supersaturated Au

in Si

Au agglomerates generated in the out-diffusion process of supersaturated high-temperature substitutional Au(continu-

ous annealing)in Si at 900℃ for 1440 h,at the final stage of the annealing,have been investigated. As a consequence,

Au agglomerates are dissociated with the progress of the annealing,and they disappear shallower than 20μm from the

surface and decrease about 2/3 deeper than 20μm. The remained agglomerates grow with absorbing the supersaturated

Au atom. Au agglomerates are also generated in the out-diffusion process of supersaturated low-temperature substitu-

tional Au (ordinary annealing),and the differences of the size and number of agglomerates between two annealings have

been also investigated. Many larger Au agglomerates are generated in the initial stage of ordinary annealing than in that

of continuous annealing. The remained agglomerates grow larger with the progress of continuous annealing than with

that of ordinary annealing.

Sachio Harada:The Comparison of The Power Loss in The Commutation Method of The Matrix

Converter

This paper compares the power loss for 5 commutation methods and evaluates them to select as a commutation method

of the matrix converter. A matrix converter is the power converter which can output arbitrary voltage and frequency from

AC input. The commutation of matrix converters must be careful so that the short circuit of power supply and the open

circuit of load do not occur. The commutation methods are classified roughly into the voltage commutation method and

the current commutation method. Furthermore these commutation methods are classified by commutation times (the

number of steps). The error of output voltages and the switching times are different among the commutation methods.

Therefore this paper pays its attention to the differences of the switching times and compares the switching loss for the

commutation methods.

Osamu Yahiro:Generation of the diamond film by the hot-filament chemical vapor deposition

Diamond film is expected application of a various sector and one of them is diamond semiconductor. Compared to

other semiconductor elements,diamond is expected next-generation semiconductor for exquisite characteristic compared to

other semiconductor elements,but it has some trouble in practical application. Because single crystal thin film is difficult

to create.

In order to carry out epitaxial growth of the diamond on a silicon (Si) board using the HFCVD (hot-filament

chemical vapor deposition)law,it experiment was conducted paying attention to the influence of growth of the diamond

of Si board (111)and Si board (100). The result show that methane concentration affected growth of a diamond.

This paper,investigates the influence of growth of the diamond of Si board(111)and Si board(100),and the purpose

is to attain simplification of a growth surface.

and simulation using MATLAB. This study design perfect tracking control system for seeking control of the hard disk

The aim of this study is to clarify the properties and the generation mechanisms and properties of the luminous body

generated by a pulsed discharge on the surface of electrolyte solution.This paper describes the construction of a system

for the spectrum measurements of the luminous bodies. Using the system, the following results were obtained. (i)

Luminescence of CaⅠ,CaⅡ,CuⅠ and NaⅠwas observed. (ii) Luminescence of CaⅠ, CaⅡ and NaⅠ became

weak in about 70ms,but luminescence of CuⅠ did not change so much for about 115ms. (iii)Luminescence of NaⅠ

was observed even if the solution did not it contain.

This paper proposes an effective method to design scents suited with a user’s Kansei using the interactive evolutionary

computation. In recent years,effects of the scents have been used in various purposes,such as perfume and aromatherapy.

However,we generally use the scent that is provided by the manufacturer. In this study, the scent was treated by the

interactive evolutionary computation. As evolutionary computation, genetic algorithm was employed. In a process

generating the scent,AROMAGEUR was used. The experiment used the scents of citrus.Gene was the strength of the

scents. Favorite scent was created by the evaluation of the user. In addition,the experimental method was evaluated by

comparison with random selection.

sound of personal computer, and alarm signals of appliances etc. However, these used sign sounds are not made by

reflecting individual preferences and KANSEI. In this study,I propose an Interactive Evolutionary Computation that

creates“Waning”sign sounds reflecting personal preferences and KANSEI. Furthermore,Performances between Inter-

active Genetic Algorithm and Interactive Differential Evolution were compared in several indices.

This paper describes vibration characteristics at ink jet impact on the recording objects. An ink jet has been widely

utilized as printing devices,and quite useful for two dimensional image printing area,as well. Here,an application of

electrostatically extracted ink jet system to the vibration detect has been studies in this study. There are no researches

reported about vibration of an ink impact on the recording objects. This study is one of the new fields connected to both

ink jet and vibration technology. This paper reports that each variation has being different of the behavior at the ink jet

impact among recording materials.

Tatsuhiko Onoue:A Logo Watermarking Using Discrete Fourier Transform

In this thesis,a logo image watermarking technique based on Discrete Fourier Transform is described. There is a

problem that the quality of the watermarked image deteriorates because the amount of watermark information of the logo

image is very large. Each Fourier coefficient of the original image and the logo image is calculated separately,and those

coefficients are repositioned by centering operation. The logo Fourier coefficient is embedded into the original Fourier

coefficient so that the feature of symmetry and anti-symmetry of Fourier coefficient may be maintained. In previous

experiment, the suitable parameters for keeping the watermark image quality and the robustness are determined.

Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method gives an improved watermark image quality and has good

robustness against a few attacks like JPEG compression and Gaussian noise.

Takashi Kihara:A Virtual Mouse System with Finger-Gestures of Twisting-in and its Performance

Keyboards and mouses are common input devices. In recent years, various portable input devices have been

manufactured. In this manuscript,we built a virtual mouse system that enables us to manipulate the mouse cursor by

showing a web camera our finger-gesture of twisting-in. The finger gesture of twisting-in is a series of movements of a

finger twisting and pushing. Since this finger-gesture is familiar with our everyday activities,it is expected to give us the

feeling of twisting and pushing a button,and provide us with a more natural and intuitive interface to computers. Some

ISO9241-9-based experiments show that our virtual mouse system has the potential to be practical and usable.

Shogo Kuwano: A Study on Statistical Analysis Method for Prediction of Spatiotemporal

Threshold Voltage Variation Impact on Non-parametric SRAM Characteristics

As the dimension of LSI device has been getting near to the atom size,the dependency of device threshold voltage

(Vth) on both space and time variation of the electron amount and location in the channel region has become more

prominent. As a result,the electric system instability due to Vth variation has become major concerns. Although several

statistical analysis method were proposed to predict the effect of spatial dependent Vth variation on failure probability,

they can’t consider the time dependent Vth variation due to random telegraph noise at all. Thus,this work proposes a

new method, enabling to approximate any random distribution by using only Gaussian kernel, to convolute the two

distributions of space and time dependent Vth variations. As a result,it is shown that the proposed method can reduce

the sampling number required for predicting failure probability to 1/125000 of the conventional one.

Hirofumi Kouchi:A Study on Task Reducing Techniques for Low Power Gesture Recognition

Although a larger number of sensor nodes enable to provide a more useful information for a gesture recognition,

actually available number of sensor nodes would be limited by the total power budget of a computer system. Thus,a task

reduction technique, saving the power consumption required for receiving and processing the sensor information, has

become one of key enabler of information-rich mobile devices. In this study,the required tasks for the gesture recognition

are analyzed to find out unnecessary part that can be eliminated to save the power consumption. As a result,it is found

that the power consumption required for a limited purpose can be reduced to 2.6%of the conventional general purpose

case.

Recently,by taking the advantage of Web technologies a lot of e-Learning systems have been developed. In order

津田晋也:粒子群最適化を用いた解探索問題の精度向上

Shinya Tsuda: Accuracy Improvement of Solution Search Problem with Particle Swarm Optim-

ization

Particle swarm optimization and artificial bee colony algorithm belong to swarm intelligence which refers to the

behavior such as birds and bees that are metaheuristics. Particle swarm optimization can adapt to a number of

optimization problems and has high accuracy for solution search problems. For complicated function optimization which

has a lot of local minimums,particle swarm optimization may fall into a local minimum and not have search points in

high accuracy.

In this paper,we present two approaches to improve the solution search accuracy. The first is particle swarm

optimization with perturbation term. The second is swarm intelligence optimization with reduction. In order to show

the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms,we examine test functions compared to the existing metaheuristics algorithms.

Kenta Naitou:Evaluating Tomato Ripeness Using a 3-Layer BP-Network

Several methods have been recently reported for evaluating tomato ripeness including those that involve measuring

the sugar content and acidity by near infrared spectroscopy and analyzing the color changes of the surface by image

processing. However,they require special equipment,complicated image analysis and thus large and complicated systems.

On the other hand,tomato producers demand for a simple system for evaluating tomato ripeness to reduce the production

costs. This paper proposes a simple system for evaluating tomato ripeness, which consists of a neural network for

perceiving the color information of tomato surface,by assuming that the color of the surface reflects ripening. Experi-

ments showed that the system judged the ripeness correctly in 90%of all tomatoes tested on average just from the color

information (hue)of about 0.6%of the tomato image surface area,showing the stability of the system. The slit thinning

method used in this study extracted the color of tomato surface correctly and was shown effective for evaluating ripening.

Shuta Nakashima: Generation of Appropriate User Music Chord Progression Based on Inter-

active Genetic Algorithm

The chord progression is one of musical elements and plays a role to create atmosphere of a musical piece. Chord

progression is successive musical chord. Since there are innumerably various connections,it is hard for general users to

create the music chord progression,which suits for user’s favorite taste. A previous study has proposed a method to create

a chord progression by combining Genetic Algorithm and experience data storage system,however,the method did not

reflect user’s favorite taste. This study proposes a method to create a chord progression that suits the user’s favorite taste

by using Interactive Genetic Algorithm. In the proposed method,the user evaluates and scores created chord progression

in 7-point scale. Optimization of chord progression is performed based on the scores. Furthermore,we fundamentally

evaluate the proposed method through a listening experiment.

Masahiro Nishi: A Study on Variation Tolerant High-Density SRAM Cell Designs Based on Its

Statistical Analysis for Sensing Margins

An 8T-SRAM was proposed to increase tolerance for continuously increasing device threshold voltage(Vth)variation

due to device dimension scaling. However,the 8T-SRAM has a fundamental read-signal sensing issue due to single-end

bit-line sensing. In order to solve this issue,Z8T-SRAM,enabling a differential sensing,has been proposed by our team.

In this work,the scaling limitation of the Z8T-SRAM cell has been statistically analyzed and proposed a new scheme to

solve the BL-potential clamping issue. As a result, it is found that the proposed scheme can increase the sensing fail

tolerance by 500%at operation voltage(Vdd)=0.5V.

Takahiro Higuchi:A Basic Study of Coating for Applying Ink Jet Technology

The electrostatically extracted ink jet shows a unique state of ink flight which does not exist in other types of systems.

Attempts are being made to make applications to recording for tone images and to direct printing of circuit board patterns

and further to such processes as coating,by controlling this state of the ink flight. This paper discusses a method of

controlling the state of ink flight,with the future to such processes as coating,by controlling this state of the ink flight.

This paper discusses a method of controlling the state of ink flight,with the future possibilities of the ink jet technology

in mind. The following three methods may be considered for controlling the flight of the ink jet. The first is to control

the state of flight of the ink jet to be scanned according to a recording signal. The second is the method of recording by

controlling the state of flight of the ink jet to be scanned in a zigzag pattern. The third is the method of recording by

controlling the state of flight of the ink jet to be scanned in a tornado-like manner. It was found from the results obtained

that this method of controlling the ink flight results in little waste when the application of the ink jet to coating is

considered.

Hiroaki Fujimoto:Image Authentication Based on Interleaving and Cyclic Hamming Code

In this thesis,a fragile watermarking scheme for image authentication in described. Generally,in image authentica-

tion,the quality of the watermarked image deteriorates with increasing watermark information because the watermarks

must be embedded in all the pixels in order to enable detection of all the tampered pixels. The proposed method will

improve the watermarked image quality because the compressed watermarks are embedded with cyclic hamming code.

Moreover,the method can correct the error of a bit unit,since the characteristic of each pixel is embedded dispersedly into

the neighboring pixels by using cyclic hamming code and interleaving. Experimental results show that the proposed

algorithm produces an improved watermark image quality and has good performance for tamper detection and recovery

against the about 50%tampered image.

Kazuhide Furue:Experimental Study on Audio/Video Stream Degradation

In this thesis,we investigate how the quality of audio/video live streams change when congestion occurs to the

network in wired and wireless network. Four live streaming software products that are generally used now are investigat-

ed. A congestion tolerance in wired and wireless cases is investigated. We see how five 750 Kbps streams degrade when

heavy traffic(95 Mbps)is injected to the link on which the five streams are flowing. The big difference appeared in the

result of the congestion tolerance depending on whether a wireless link is used or not. Significant degradations in the

quality of the live streams are observed when flowing over wireless links.

In this paper,we present a restoration of lost pixels for still frame by statistical measurements with optical flow. For

image restoration,reconstruction of lost parts includes an important issue. Our approach concludes that restoration with

high quality can be realized for pixels by utilizing the measured flows statistically,since we redefine optical flow which

analyzes motion image to be applicable to still frame. In order to show that our approach is effective,experimental results

are exhibited in comparison with the conventional technique.

Naoya Mada: A Basic Study of Fine Structure of Flying Ink Jet and Its Application to Tone

Recording

In recent years,practical applications of ink jet technology not only are being made in general recording but are about

to be made also in other fields. For example,there are applications of ink jet technology such as in the formation of bone

and in direct printing of fine circuit lines. In the present paper,we report on our verification of the characteristics of the

flying ink jet by the focusing on the finer internal structure. In particular,we considered the state of flight of the ink in

the space of its flight from the tip of the nozzle to the recording material. It is the detailed relationships between the

microscopic structure and such parameters and amount of displacement of the nozzle in the state of flight of the ink jet.

In the future,in order to extend the application of the ink jet to many fields,it is important to understand the fine structure

of the state of flight of the ink jet. The relationships between the state of flight of the ink jet and the microscopic structure

and such parameters as the amount of displacement of the nozzle were clarified by the results obtained.

This paper is concerned with DNA sequencing by hybridization and two pheromone secretions that a dynamic

pheromone secretion and an exponent pheromone secretion are proposed. For keeping a balance between centralization

and decentralization,the two proposed approaches are utilized and DNA sequencing is conducted. Through numerical

experiments in comparison with the conventional approach and the proposed approaches, the dynamic pheromone

secretion is more suitable for the calculation of DNA sequencing and has high accuracy than the exponent pheromone

secretion.

Wikipedia, a Wiki based online encyclopedia, has become an emergent social media because of the significant

efficiency for sharing huge amount of human knowledge via Web browsers. Especially,in NLP,AI and DB research

areas,a considerable number of researches have been conducted in past several years.

In this paper,we get these free data from Wikipedia API and compute semantic relatedness by methods of blc,wup

and lch. Then we apply the results of semantic computation to the question answering system. We compute the semantic

relatedness between right answer and other options and resolve the nonexistent pages through Wikipedia API and Google

API,for providing related words as many as possible and the simple explanation of these words.PHP programing,MySQL

database and jQuery technology are used for the computation.

In this thesis,we propose fuzzy-based clustering algorithms considering number of neighbor nodes and node speed.

The proposed algorithms are evaluated by simulations. When the nodes move with high speed, they should not be

selected as cluster head. Therefore,the probability of selection as cluster head is lower.The slow moving sensor nodes

have stable communication. Therefore,the probability of selection as cluster head is higher depending on the amount of

remaining battery. If there are many neighbor nodes,the probability that a node is chosen as cluster head is high. From

these results,the optimal cluster head is selected based on the number of neighbor nodes and node speed.

Priorities

In this paper,we proposed a fuzzy based Call Admission Control (CAC) system for wireless cellular networks

considering multiple priorities. We carried out some simulations with a conventional CAC system and we found the

conventional system can not make a good differentiation for different services. For this reason, we consider three

priorities and implement a new CAC system based on fuzzy logic. We evaluated the performance of the proposed system

by computer simulations. The simulation results show that the proposed system makes a good differentiation of different

services and good CAC decision.

Recently,there are a lot of multimedia information exchanged over the Internet,where 3DCG,video,image,sound,

and text are transmitted between different terminal devices,and networks.Also,different users have different computer

knowledge,and use them in different environments. This fact may lead to‘digital divide’unless any special support is

given to the people that have not computer knowledge. We have proposed a user interface function based on choice

operation which easily narrows the digital divide by providing appropriate multimedia expressions according to users’

(mental and physical) abilities, computer facilities and network environments. In this paper, we discuss results of

questionnaire surveys implementation of userinterface for some sightseeing guidance reflecting our concepts.

In this thesis, we deal with implementation and evaluation of JXTA-Overlay P2P control system for medical

applications and robot control. In the proposed health care supporting system,we measured the patient situation by the

infrared sensors and evaluated the system performance by experiments. Using the number of reactions from the patients,

the system is able to judge the patient situation. As a result,the time to check the patient situation,the load of doctors

and medical expenses can be reduced. For the robotic control system,we performed experiments for two models:one peer

transmitting and one receiving, and one peer transmitting and three peers receiving. We found that for1 MB data

transmission,the control of robot is possible.

Support System

In this paper,we evaluated the credibility of informal information on the bulletin board site in order to solve the

problems of employment support site. The algorithms for the authority assessment were proposed and the effectiveness

of the system is evaluated by the proto type experiments. The credibility is evaluated by taking into account the four

criteria of credibility,expertise,reliability,accuracy for informal information. The evaluation method was verified by

performing proto type experiments. As a result, it was possible to confirm that there is validity as the basis for

determining the authenticity of the limited extent of the four criteria of credibility assessment in the community.

Yuki Kimura:Reduction of Computation Time of Discrete Ray Tracing Method

-Approximation of Fresnel Function and Simplified Ray Searching-

This paper is concerned with reduction of computation time of Discrete Ray Tracing Method (DRTM)which is a

numerical method for analyzing electromagnetic fields above random rough surfaces(RRSs). The essence of the DRTM

is firstly to search rays and secondly to compute electric fields based on the traced rays. In the DRTM,we discretize not

only RRSs but also ray tracing procedure.

In order to reduce computation time for ray searching,we modify the conventional algorithm discretizing RRSs with

equal intervals to a new one which discretizes them with unequal intervals according to their profile. For example we

select many observation points in the mountain areas and a few observation points in the plain areas. In addition,we

introduce an approximation of Fresnel function which enables us to reduce field computation time. We discuss the

reduction of computation time of the DRTM from the numerical view points of ray searching and field computation.

Yusuke Kowakame: One-time Authentication Systems Using Near Field Communications and

Mobile Phone

In this paper,we present the outline of the two kinds of new one-time authentication systems using mobile phone with

FeliCa chip. If there new authentication systems are introduced,users don’t need to put passwords in the system. As

the random numbers are written in the free area of FeliCa chip,they are used as the one-time password with the user

identification number and serial number of the mobile phone. In addition,we present the outline of the new one-time

authentication system using Android mobile phone with FeliCa chip. If this new authentication system is introduced,

users don’t need to put passwords in the system. Authentication tokens are generated randomly and transferred via

FeliCa to mobile phone to the authentication server. The experiments of the new authentication prototype systems show

good results and the possibility of the automatic password setting can be confirmed.

Kouta Shiihara:Study on Electric Field Distribution in Neighborhood of Adjacent Buildings

In these days,applications of mobile communications have drastically shifted to the high-speed and high-capacity

digital communication systems,and human demands for the mobile communications are rapidly increasing. However,the

residential areas where mobile communications are often used are full of high-rise buildings,and thus the radio wave

propagation shows a complicated behavior resulting in a poor radio communication.

In this paper, considering the concentrated compound apartment houses in a big city,we have made a rebuked

two-dimensional concrete model, and we have performed experiments for propagation characteristics by use of a

microwave simulation. We have also carried out some numerical computations based on the FVTD method. We discuss

the effect of complicated residential structures together with their material constants on the electric field distributions in

such a complicated propagation environment.

武末正文:地上波伝搬問題に関するDRTM解析

Masafumi Takematsu:DRTM Analysis of Radio Wave Propagation along Land Surface Structure

Although,Japan has suffered serious damage from the great earthquake and tsunami,many lives were saved by alert

information system. Based on this experience,after achieving the goal of TV digitalization,the Japanese government is

implementing measures to make a shift from conventional analog transmission system to digital transmission one for highly

functional fire and disaster prevention wireless systems.

To design such high-performance radio communication networks,the field estimations are becoming more important

issues to make a decision where we should allocate the base station and relay stations efficiently. We have developed and

proposed discrete ray tracing method (DRTM)that enables us to analyze propagation characteristics along land surface

structure.

However,the method still requires a certain time to compute field intensities in case of long pass. The aim of this

study is to improve DRTM’s performance, finding a way to shorten computation time and to save computer memory

efficiently.

Photonic Crystal Structure by Scale Model

For Hexagonal resonator and Four-Branch waveguides in two-dimensional photonic crystal structure, resonance

characteristics were confirmed by experimental. Also the effectiveness of the stubs were proved in Four-Branch

waveguides structure. Hexagonal resonator was wedged between the two straight waveguides with a distance of one row

of dielectric cylinder. Four-Branch waveguides has one input port and four output ports. Cavities with different lengths

were situated near the output ports.

In this thesis,the following structures were measured:(1)Single straight waveguide,(2)Hexagonal resonator of three

different lengths,(3)Hexagonal resonator with cavities,(4)Four-Branch waveguides,(5)Four-Branch waveguides with

stubs. By applying the obtained results,we could compose a circuit to isolate the specific frequency for WDM (Wave-

length Division Multiplex)system.

Shunsuke Nakashima: Analysis of Backscattering from Target Moving above Random Rough

Surface

This paper is concerned with an analysis of backscattering of electromagnetic waves from a target moving above

random rough surfaces. First we introduce the discrete ray tracing method (DRTM),and second we apply this method

to the backscattering problem in order to investigate the influence of the backscattering from random rough surfaces on

the receiving power of radar. Finally we show some numerical examples for the backscattering of the total fields in

comparison with that of the subtracted fields which express reflection from the target as well as electromagnetic interaction

between target and rough surface. It is numerically demonstrated that the total backscattering dominates almost every-

where except for the near region of radar,even if we employ an antenna with a very sharp directivity. In addition,we

investigate statistics of Doppler shifted backscattering from a target.

Apartments Having Many Rooms

Recently,mobile communications,such as mobile phones,wireless LANs and long-distance RFIDs,have spread all

over the world as well as in Japan,and they are dispensable for our daily life. However, there exist many undesired

residential environments where radio wave propagation is considerably difficult. In this paper,paying attention to the

complicated structures of an apartment house with two or more rooms, we have investigated experimentally and

analytically the influence of the moving human bodies on the field distributions in the rooms with concrete walls. In the

experimental and analytical models,we have simulated the human movements in daily life and allocated the human bodies

randomly in the rooms. The experiments were performed with the reduced two-dimensional room models. Experimental

results are in good agreement with the numerical results based on the FVTD method. As a result,it has been shown that

the field distributions are strongly influenced by the reflections from glass windows and human bodies.

Katsuki Hayashi:Electromagnetic Waves Diffracted by Building Rooftop Edges

In urban areas with many buildings,electromagnetic waves can be scattered complicatedly by those walls and edges,

and this phenomenon a causes deterioration of the communication quality. Generally, it is difficult to analyze the

scattered electromagnetic fields in urban areas. Therefore,it is important to estimate the electromagnetic wave propaga-

tion path in such environment from the view point of effective utilization of the radio wave resources.

In this paper,I analyzed the electromagnetic fields diffracted by rooftop edges of a building by making use of the

heuristic GTD. The numerical calculations are carried out for buildings which are made from perfect conductor and

concrete.We also discussed the effect of parapet added on building rooftop. The result showed that,when we put parapets

on a concrete building,the diffracted fields became stronger than the case without parapets.

丸山哲生:並列化コンパイラによる二次元CIP法の高速化に関する研究

Tetsuo Maruyama: Study on acceleration of two-dimensional CIP Method with parallelizing

compiler

In this master thesis,for the high-speed calculation of the analysis of electromagnetic wave propagation using CIP

method,widespread parallelism by multicore processors was studied. Meanwhile,the parallelization based on paralleliz-

ing compiler,the parallelization using OpenMP and the effectiveness of speed up were verified.

According to the results,computation time was reduced about 40%compared to the conventional scalar processor by

combining the automatic parallelization and OpenMP parallelization by the compiler. In addition,by comparing the

error between the previous scalar computation results and parallelized one,we can confirm that there is no error with

shorter computation time while maintaining the calculation accuracy.

Yongmei Zhang:Studies on Filtering Characteristics of Y-branch and X-shaped Photonic Crystal

Waveguide in Two-Dimensional Triangular Lattice by Microwave Model

Photonic crystals(PCs)are periodically structured electromagnetic media that generally possess photonic band gaps

(PBGs). By making use of microwave scale model,we researched the filtering properties of Y-branch waveguide and

X-shaped branch waveguide.

Firstly,transmission and reflection of cavities with length of 2.5P and 3.0P installed in port 2 and 3 respectively were

measured. The structure installation of stubs behind cavities was certified to be best one because of the best Q factors,

extinction ratios and the lowest unnecessary resonance peaks. Secondly,for X waveguide,two groups of cavities with

length of 2.5P,3.0P,3.5P and 2.5P,2.75P,3.0P were measured in symmetric X-shaped and asymmetric X-shaped. Here

cavities were installed closer to output port or closer to center of X structure. Measurement results were obtained and

the structure of asymmetric X-shaped with cavities 2.5P,2.75P and 3.0P in port 2,3 and 4 respectively installed closer to

output port were proved to be the best one.

According to the conclusions,branch waveguide structures are applicable as filter components in wavelength division

multiplexing (WDM)systems in photonic crystal optical circuits.

This thesis aims to explore the countermeasures to improve the saving of water resources in China.

Taking Hebei Province as the subject area, this study examined the efficient implement and operation of the new

water-saving irrigation institutions in agriculture,which accounts for the largest water-using sector. Firstly,in addition

to the storage of water resources in Hebei Province,current status,and problems within the usage of agricultural water,

the implements of new-type water-saving irrigation institutions are analyzed. Furthermore, based on the field survey

conducted in Dengzhuang Village, Taocheng District,Hengshui Prefecture, the contents and effects of the system of

“increase price and allocate subsidy”,one of the new-type water-saving irrigation institutions,are examined. Also,the

problems and solutions to this new system are investigated. Finally, the expected effects of extending this new water-

saving irrigation institution are analyzed as well.

Chinese Law on the Prevention and Control of Water Pollution was substantially revised again in 2008.

In this study,contents of this revised law are analyzed in comparison with Japanese Water Pollution Control Law.

The following three points have become clear:the difficulties on the emission control,the existing vicious water pollution

sources and the need for the revolution of the way of thinking in the top of the local governments.

On the basis of this analysis,problems of Chinese water pollution control administration are investigated.
