토양관리학 및 실습 _ 169 제 1 장 토양의 정의와 구성 1. 토양의 정의 토양은 암석의 풍화산물과 각종 동식물로부터의 유기물이 혼합되어 기후생물 등의 작용을 받아 변화되며, 그 변화는 환경조건과 평형을 이루기 위해 항상 계 속되어 특정한 토양단면의 형태를 이루는 자연체로서, 이것은 엷은 층으로 지구 표면을 덮고 있으며, 공기와 수분을 알맞게 함유하여 식물을 기계적으로 지지하 고 양분의 일부분을 공급하여 식물생육의 장소가 되는 곳이다. 2. 토양의 구성 토양은 고상 액상 기상의 3상으로 구성되며, 3상의 비율은 토양의 종류와 환 경조건에 따라 상대적으로 달라진다. 가. 토양 3상 : 토양을 이루는 기본적인 3가지 물질을 토양 3상이라고 한다. (1) 고상 ① 암석의 풍화산물인 무기물과 동식물로부터 공급되어진 유기물로 구성된다. ② 자갈 모래 미사 및 점토로 구성되어 있다. (2) 액상 ① 토양수분으로 각종 유기 및 무기물질과 이온을 함유한다. ② O 2 나 CO 2 도 녹아 있는 상태이다. (3) 기상 ① 토양공기로서 대기에 비해 O 2 농도는 낮고 CO 2 농도는 높다.
