De familie Van Blijdesteijn is een begrip op het gebied van exclusieve mode. Nu de zesde generatie van Blijdesteijn aan het roer staat, worden kennis en traditie gecombineerd met een eigentijdse kijk op mode. Blijdesteijn heeft een goede reputatie met de verkoop van kleding uit het topsegment. Hier werken echte ondernemers met een sterk ontwikkeld trend- en stijlgevoel.

We zagen het de afgelopen seizoenen al hier en daar opduiken, maar deze zomer is er geen ontkomen aan neonkleuren. Een echte musthave deze zomer. Soms overduidelijk aanwezig zoals in de jaren ’80 met fluorbroeken en tops, maar ook subtieler door een neon afwerking, detail of print.

NEON

Een opvallende tegenhanger van de neonkleuren is een nieuwe trend: de pasteltinten. Ook dit is een opvallende trend deze zomer, maar laat een mooi beeld zien. Veel kant, baroke en blouché voor een wat romantische look die zeker ook stoer te stylen is.

PASTEL

Groen is een elegante en luxueuze kleur. Voor dit seizoen weer helemaal aanwezig. Groen staat voor vernieuwing, groei en natuur en is heel goed te combineren.

De grafische trend zet dit voorjaar door. Grafische prints in de kleuren zwart en wit zijn een musthave. Daarnaast zien we bij deze trend elegante belijningen wat de kleding vrouwelijk en modern maakt.

Blauw is een klassieke kleur die zowel stabiliteit als natuurlijk aan het modepalet van de zomer van 2013 geeft. Pastel shades, distinctive animal prints and sweet floral’s - perfect for a summer evening.

Enduring glamour has always been a hallmark of John Charles occasionwear and this Spring/Summer ‘13 is no exception with a stunning range of suits and luxury eveningwear.

Taking inspiration directly from the sixties glitterati, John Charles has focused on smart tailoring and chic detailing. In particular creative director Regine Ellis and her team have looked at the classic style of Jackie Kennedy, a major icon of the era whose style revolutionized smartwear. This distinctive look has been fused with some subtle pastel shades, distinctive animal prints and striking floral’s perfect for the summer evenings.

Pale pinks and dusty blues have been interwoven into the striking patterns, classical creams and ivories have been pivotal also within the colour palette to create the tailored coats and jackets - nipping in at the waist creating a naturally feminine shape. Following on from some beautiful lace styles last season John Charles has also woven a range of delicate lace pieces onto bodices, knee-length dresses and jackets. Adding to the brands already large variety of fabrics they have also included tweeds, new dupions and twill continuing their signature for internationally sourced and luxury textiles.

The collection has this year been designed with second and registry weddings in mind, keeping it understated with an eye on current trends. Making them truly versatile, suitable for any occasion. Flexibility has always been a key belief of the brand offering stunning outfits perfect for the day that can also carry you through into the evening.

Following on from their much-celebrated induction into the ‘Bridal Buyer Hall of Fame’ John Charles is continuing to push the boundaries of modern occasionwear through its distinctive style, social networking and recent press through celebrity fans.
