  • 1. I am Noxolo Bhengu, I am going to teach Life Orientation in grade twelve under the topic of Human Rights.

2. Definition of human right. Commission on the Status of Woman. The Commission on the Status of Women is a functional commission of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), dedicated exclusively to gender equality and advancement of women. It is the principal global policy-making body. Every year, representatives of Member States gather at United Nations Headquarters in New York to evaluate progress on gender equality, identify challenges, set global standards and formulate concrete policies to promote gender equality and advancement of women worldwide 5. The Commission was established by ECOSOC resolution 11(II) of 21 June 1946 with the aim to prepare recommendations and reports to the Council on promoting women's rights in political, economic, civil, social and educational fields. The Commission also makes recommendations to the Council on urgent problems requiring immediate attention in the field of women's rights.From 1-12 March 2010, the Commission on the Status of Women undertook a fifteen-year review of the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.Emphasis was placed on the sharing of experiences and good practices, with a view to overcoming remaining obstacles and new challenges, including those related to the Millennium Development Goals. 6. Children's rights Children's have a right to attend school the elementary school must be free.Schools should be teach children to speak with everyone, irrespective of them country of origin, religion, or ethnic.School has to provide healthy life the building must be clear, bright and spacious surrounding by green area. 7. In our school are studying our Swabia, Gypsy and Hungarian kids together.LEARNING BOOKS Learning books and more materials can use everyone, irrespective of them country of origin, religion, ethnic, or social situation.RELIGION Students must not disadvantage due to religious beliefs. In addition, they have to be able to religion and bible class. In our school students can take part on catholic or reformat religion and moral psychology class.DELIVERANCE Students must not disadvantage because of their conscientiousness belief and thinking. 9. EXTRA CLASS The student has the right to get help for his / her learning works after class.LEISURE The student has the right to take part in the cultural school life, academic competition, sport events and projects. In our school there are a lot of opportunity to do them.SOCIAL SUPPORT The student has the right to get social discount. Our school helps the students with eating- and book support.CLASSROOM DECORATION Every pupils can take part in the decoration of the classrooms. Plants, curtains, kids works make our classrooms homelike.AMONG OUR STUDENTS Unfortunately it happens sometimes among our students, that they break each other's human rights. For example, if they speak with their classmates debt of their religion or a minority use of debt, referring to its position. 10. Continue. FREE FOR ALL The student has a right to hold his / her personality in respect by others. Against physical and psychological violence, corporal punishment do not apply. Unfortunately it happens sometimes that they exchange bowls.PARENTS VS. TEACHERS Most of the parents sign, if they are not satisfied how the teacher deals with their child. Their complaint may be referred to the Director or the parent- teacher association, but we try to solve the problem direct too. 11. Peoples who live with disability. NON-DISCRIMINATIONThere shall be no discrimination against disabled people and they shall enjoy equal opportunitiesin all spheres of life and they shall be protected against exploitation and all treatment of anabusive or degrading nature.SELF-REPRESENTATIONDisabled people shall be entitled to represent themselves on all matters affecting them andresources shall be made available to enable them to fulfil this role.HEALTH AND REHABILITATIONHealth and rehabilitation services shall be effective, accessible and affordable to all disabledpeople in South Africa. EDUCATIONa) Disabled people shall have the right to mainstream education with personalassistance where necessary, appropriate assistive technology and specialized teaching.b) Parents of disabled children shall have the right to participate in the planning andprovision of their children's education. 12. continue. EMPLOYMENTa) All disabled people shall have the right to employment in the open labour marketand appropriate measures, such as quota systems and training programmes, shall beimplemented by government and employers to ensure that opportunities are createdin the workplace which allow for the full enjoyment of this right.b) The state shall provide incentives to employers, such as tax concessions, toencourage them to employ disabled people. 13. SPORT AND RECREATIONDisabled people shall have the right to engage in sport and recreational activities and resources,such as sports facilities and financial assistance, as well as opportunities for participation, shallbe made available to support this initiative in this regard.SOCIAL SECURITYThe state shall provide security to disabled people who are without adequate income and allmeasures used to determine the adequacy of such income shall take into account additional costsincurred by them as a result of their disability.HOUSINGThe state shall embark on a programme aimed at ensuring adequate, accessible and affordablehousing for all disabled people. TRANSPORT Affordable and adequate transport shall be made available to disabled people. BUILT ENVIRONMENTAll new environments shall be accessible and safe to disabled people and all reasonable stepsshall be taken to make existing built environments accessible and safe. 14. Continue. DISABLED CHILDRENa) Disabled children shall have the right to be treated with respect and dignity andshall be provided with equal opportunities to enable them to reach their full potentialin life.b) The state shall ensure that all disable children are properly cared for with adequatesupport.c) All forms of abuse of disabled children shall be prohibited and severe penaltiesimposed for such abuse.DISABLED WOMENAll disabled women shall be treated with respect and dignity. They shall be free to make theirown decisions and shall be protected from all forms of abuse which undermine their integrity in 15. Continue. INDEPENDENT LIVINGDisabled people shall be entitled, encouraged and assisted to live independently in theircommunities and to develop the skills necessary to enable them to live in the broader society andthey shall be provided with adequate and appropriate support systems to do so.COMMUNICATIONDisabled people shall have the right to communicate freely and measures designed to ensure thefull enjoyment of this right shall include the provision of Braille and/or audio recorded materialfor blind people, the recognitions and use of sign language for people with hearing and/or speechdisabilities and mentors/advocates for mentally disabled people.PARTICIPATION ON SOCIAL LIFEDisabled people shall have the right to make their own decisions in all areas of social life andthis shall include freedom to engage in sexual relationships and to have a family 16. PREVENTIONAll effective and appropriate steps shall be taken by the state and society at large to preventdisability.POSITIVE ACTIONPositive action shall be applied to address existing discriminatory practices and disadvantagingconditions facing disabled people, giving special attention to the situation of under-representedgroups such as disabled women and children, deaf people, mentally disable people, people withalbinism and disabled people living in underdeveloped areas.ENFORCEMENTAppropriate and effective policies and legislation as well as accountable services shall bedeveloped and enforced to provide all disabled people with opportunities for the full enjoymentof all these rights. 17. Different types of Rights. Civil rights include the ensuring of peoples physical integrity and safety. Protection from discrimination on grounds such as physical or mental disability, gender, religion, race, national origin, age, status as a member of the uniformed services, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Individual rights such as privacy, the freedoms of thought and conscience, speech and expression, religion, the press, and movement.Political rights include natural justice (procedural fairness) in law, such as the rights of the accused, including the right to a fair trial; due process; the right to seek redress or a legal remedy;rights of participation in civil society and politics such as freedom of association the right to assemble, the right to petition, the right of self-defence, and the right to vote. 18. Economic, social and cultural rights are socio- economic human rights, such as the right to education, right to housing, right to adequate standard of living and the right to health.Economic, social and cultural rights are recognized and protected in international and regional human rights instruments.Member states have a legal obligation to respect, protect and fulfil economic, social and cultural rights and are expected to take "progressive action" towards their fulfilment. 19.
