March 15, 2013 To Whom It May Concern: It is with pleasure that I recommend Mr. Anthony Reed for the DNA Sports Center internship in Milford, Ohio. Anthony is a major in Sport Management due to graduate in summer 2013. The internship will be an excellent capstone to his undergraduate curriculum. Anthony was a student in my PHE 305 – Individual and Dual Sports course during the fall 2012 semester. He was a delight to have as a student. He performed all of the assignments with and interest and determination and I could see definite signs of improvement throughout the semester. This same determination will undoubtedly serve him well in future employment situations. During the 2011-12 academic years, Anthony demonstrated his leadership skills as the Resident Assistant for a university housing area on campus. In this capacity, he used effective communication skills to deal with issues and problems as they arose. He will be able to use these same problem solving skills as an employee. From 2008 to present, Anthony has served as chief steward for BB Riverboats, during which he is responsible for the overall buffet/food service operation on the vessel. As part of a 15-member team, he executes a meal service for between 50 and 1000 guests on a regular basis. Anthony has achieved a high level of academic standing at EKU including four-time membership on the Dean’s list. He supplements his academic proficiency with many volunteer activities, attesting to the fact that he is a well-rounded individual. To Whom It May Concern:

It is with pleasure that I recommend Mr.

I know the DNA Sports Center internship is a highly coveted position and I do expect that your decision will be a difficult one; however, I hope that you give Mr. Reed every consideration. If I can provide further information, please contact me at the address above.

Sincerely,

Jack Rutherford
