    De

    ar Honorable Ju

    dge Briccetti,

    I am wr

    iting this letter re

    garding my bro

    ther Matthew L

    ibous. Matt is m

    y older brother,

     by 4 years, and

    ou

    r parents are F

    ran and Tom Lib

    ous. We grew u

    p on the south s

    ide of Bingham

    ton, NY. We are

     a

    close fam

    ily and my brot

    her Matt is one

    of the reasons w

    hy we are so cl

    ose.

    Gro

    wing up Matt w

    as always one o

    f my best friend

    s, not just my b

    rother. He alwa

    ys included me

     in

    activities with

     his friends, alt

    hough I was you

    nger & it was n

    ot the cool thin

    g . He was alwa

    ys kind as

    an older b

    rother, while m

    ost older brothe

    rs were not so

    nice. Matt alway

    s included ever

    yone, never

    looking do

    wn on anyone

    or judged them.

     His kindness e

    xtended not jus

    t throughout his

     childhood &

    ado

    lescence, but in

    to his adult year

    s at college and

     in law school.

    When Matt

     graduated law s

    chool he decid

    ed to work for th

    e government a

    s a DA assistan

    t. Much like

    ou

    r father, he wa

    nted to help the

     community and

     thought workin

    g for the gover

    nment would be

     a great

    start.

     Matt took much

     pride in watch

    ing our father th

    roughout the y

    ears and wante

    d to follow his l

    ead.

    I know this

    because repeat

    edly he mention

    ed how proud h

    e was of Dad a

    nd the work he h

    ad done with

    the souther

    n tier. So Matt w

    ent to work for

     the DA and con

    tinued down ou

    r Father's path

     of public

    service.

    Matt then tho

    ught he could h

    elp the commun

    ity by defendin

    g those who are

     found on the w

    rong side of

    the law. He w

    orked as a defe

    nse attorney fo

    r some time and

     then started h

    is own law firm.

Now, Matt runs a company where he employs many people who support their families. Matt has built a

    successful

    company throug

    h hard work an

    d still finds the w

    ork for our com

    pany. The emp

    loyees fulfill

    the constructio

    n aspect of the

    job in the field.

    He is not just ou

    r boss but our l

    eader. He not o

    nly

    empl

    oys us, but alwa

    ys supports us,

    gives us the too

    ls necessary to

    complete our job

    s, & takes an

    interest in u

    s as individuals

    . Matt is commi

    tted to people, n

    ot because he

    gets something

     out of it but

    because of his

     generous natur

    e. I know I may

    be biased but m

    y brother is the

    fairest person I h

    ave ever

    worked for. He

     can also be ver

    y demanding, b

    ut wants the bes

    t for us. I know

     as long as Matt

     is around,

    W

    CS will be fine a

    nd the people w

    e employ will c

    ontinue to supp

    ort their family.

    Your Honor, I re

    spectfully ask th

    at you show me

    rcy on my broth

    er and please k

    eep him at hom

    e with his

    f

    amily and out o

    f jail. I have seen

     him give so ma

    ny people seco

    nd changes and

     I believe he des

    erves

    the

     same.

    Than

    k you for your t

    ime,

    Nick Libous
