마이카는 연질마이카와 경질마이카로 구분되는데, 결정 구조는 동일하지만 화학성분이 서로 다릅니다.

마이카는 균일한 품질 특성과 작업성 확보를 위해 집성마이카 형태로 가공되며, 강도를 보강하기 위해 유리섬유,

폴리에틸렌 필름 등의 보강재로 강화됩니다. 그리고 이때 사용되는 접착제는 고내열성의 무기폴리머가 사용됩니다.

SWECO Mica TapesToday, mica tapes are used for a number of applications, especially in the manufacture of fire-proof

cables. These tapes are used to produce fire survival cables that ensure circuit integrity is maintained

in the early stages of a fire or life threatening emergency.

Whenever a fire occurs, it is important that vital electrical installations remain operational to ensure continued

power supplies to control systems for essential equipment, thus providing a maximum degree of safety

for people and the environment. Such equipment includes smoke detectors, alarm systems, telephones,

passenger elevators, control centers, water pumps, valves, emergency power supplies and systems.

SWECO SA864G, SA864GM and SR864Gmica tapes are widely used in the manufacture of those fire-proof cables.

The SWECO mica tapes are based on either Phlogopite or Muscovite mica. Depending on the application

the mica paper is usually reinforced with either glass fabric or polyethylene film. Only the highest quality

inorganic polymers with excellent heat-resistant properties are used as bonding agents. SWECO's unique

manufacturing process ensures that the mica tapes are highly flexible, not-tacky but fully cured and

absolutely dust-free.

SWECO manufactures our own mica papers (both Muscovite and Phlogopite) using the most advanced

technologies available in its modern factory located in Gumi-si, Korea. Our development and quality

control laboratories make sure that the quality is always maintained to ensure SWECO continues to meet

the very strict specifications of our customers.

SWECO's glass mica tapes allow our customers to meet all of today's International Standards when

manufacturing fire-proof cables. e.g. AS3013, BS 6387 CWZ, IEC 60331 and 60332.

The advantages of using SWECO mica tape for fire-proof cables are as follows:- they are asbestos-free and form a unique flame and heat barrier

- they allow specific cables constructed to operate even in a flame at temperature up to 1,200℃.

- they are non-combustible, form no toxic gases and contain no halogens.

- they are resistant to partial discharges and corona effects

- they have excellent dielectric properties

- they can be processed dust-free on either vertical or horizontal winding machines at winding

speeds exceeding 2000 rpm.

Muscovite Mica Tape is used for fire proof cable constructions and is

made by bonding muscovite mica paper with supporting materials which

are very flexible and easy to wind on to narrow conductors.

The calcined mica has been treated with heat to remove impurities and is

also suitable to use as a heat resistant barrier for fire-proof cables and

high temperature insulation applications.

These Mica tapes for fire-proof cable constructions are made by bonding

Phlogopite mica paper with supporting materials which are very flexible

and easy to wind on to narrow conductors. Silicone with excellent heat-

resistance is used as an adhesive to the glass cloth and polyethylene film.

When the inorganic resin coating is applied to the glass cloth, it produces

a smooth surface and is suitable to use as a heat resistant barrier for fire-

proof cables and high temperature insulation for many industrial

applications.

폴리에스테르 유리섬유 복합사(DGY) 및 유리섬유 단사(SGY)는 각 동선의 소선

절연과 케이블의 절연물 타이용으로 사용되어 우수한 기계적 강도 및 절연 강도

를 갖고 있습니다.

폴리에스테르 유리섬유 복합사(DGY)는 폴리에스테르와 유리섬유를 혼합하여 연사

한 제품이며, 유리섬유 단사(SGY)는 고품질의 E-그라스를 특수 가공 연사한 제품

입니다. 소선에 권선하여 소선절연용으로 사용됩니다.

DGY is an assembly of fusible polyester mixed glass fiber yarns, and

SGY is an assembly of various E-glass fiber yarns.

DGY is wound into a copper conductor and varnished. It is then baked

to make rigid insulation.

The SGY insulated magnet wire is very tough, flexible, abrasion-resistant

and suitable for Class F insulation.

Both are used for magnet wire insulation, especially SGY is used for

tying mica tape of longitudinal lapping for fire-proof cables.

slipping while winding on wire. It can make the diameter of cables

smaller than using nonwoven cloth tape.

Chemically, NOMEX� paper is an aromatic polyamide and is generally

known as an aramid.

It is also widely used for the protection of optical fibers in OPGW(Optical

Ground Wire) and conductor insulation for high voltage motors and

generators.

The paper is a unique DuPont product having high temperature UL

rating and used in manufacture of motors and transformers and other

electrical appliances with excellent mechanical and electrical properties.
