Diploma Policies

1. Student must be able to provide patient-centered medicalcare with medical professionalism based on a sense ofmission and high ethical standards and so on.

2. Students must have a sufficiently broad knowledge base andadvanced communication skills to remain abreast ofglobalization in the field of medicine and to be able toperform in overseas medical facilities.

3. Students must be able to provide high-caliber medical carebased on scientific thinking after having developed open-minded refinement and a spirt of tolerance and masteredthe sciences and arts required of practitioners in thefields of medicine and healthcare.

4. Students must acquire the ability to cooperate andcollaborate with people in a wide range of professionsworking at medical facilities, knowledge concerningaccountability structures and the roles of each profession, aswell as the ability to play core roles in medical teams in thefuture.

1. Students must adequately understand the fundamental principlesand educational principles of IUHW and the School of Medicine andbe strongly resolved to contribute, as a specialized professional, tothe creation of a more harmonious society.

2. Students must have achieved outstanding grades and haveoutstanding English capabilities, have a future-oriented andglobal outlook, and be strongly resolved to contribute to thedevelopment of the fields of health, medicine, and welfare in boththeir home country and the global community, in response tomedical needs in Japan and overseas.

3. Students must be driven to learn in a self-motivated andproactive manner and be prepared to continue to make efforts tokeep abreast of the specialization, globalization, and technologicaladvances in the fields of health, medicine, and welfare.

1) Have neither Japanese nationality nor permanent residential

status in Japan

2) Have completed 12 years of school education outside Japan

3) Be able to obtain “Student” status by the enrollment

Applicants, with Japanese nationality or foreign nationals with

permanent residential status in Japan, must have an eligibility for

admission to bachelor’s degree program of universities in Japan and

school

2) Have spent more than 2 years and graduated from an overseas

university, college or postgraduates course

Dormitory Costs• 15 min. from Narita campus by bus (about 20 min. by

bicycle).

• All rooms are private ones.

• About 60 Japanese students live with international students.

• 20 Japanese students in each year can live in the dorms.

• ¥55,000 per month(rent fee, utilities and common servicecharge, and meal fee).

Off-Campus Housing Costs• Apartments for students cost approx. ¥45,000 ~ ¥65,000 .

• Some local real estate agents do not ask IUHW students to paythe gratuity money, agent’s commissions and renewal fees.
