The HR landscape is changing. Workplaces across the globe continue to bounce back from the economic upheaval of the last decade, but with varying degrees of success. Organizations today must navigate a “new world of work” - one that requires a dramatic change in strategies for leadership, talent, and human resources. With this in mind, the OSHRM 4th Annual Conference is taking an in-depth look at the trends affecting how Oman works, and uncovers the factors that are continuously evolving and adapting the workplace environment.
The aim and the objectives of the OSHRM 4th Annual Conference is to bring together a diverse group of thought leaders and practitioners on a common platform. Be part of the world's only HR summit run by an Omani HR society - combining the best in international experience with an Arab-world focus. Different stakeholders, one challenge – Financial and Economy impactIn the big picture, it isn't only about HR and Technology. It is about Economic Growth and Social Cohesion issues. Regulators, Private Sectors, Government, Academia are required to align on a clear agenda.

Topic 4
Who will be in, and out? Human Capital Re-shapes, New Breed of HR Leadership?Human Capital will always measure the skills, education, capacity and attributes of labor, which influence the productive capacity and earning potential. The evolution of the technology is primed for disrupting talent management and productivity, hence, the questions that arise from the challenge: What competencies and capabilities are expected from human capital? What jobs will definitely die, change or be created? And how employees should embrace the change and restlessly evolve their employability?
The technology should improve the efficiency of the initial analysis that humans can do, allowing organization to look at higher-level results and focus on more complex analysis as a total result. But others are concerned that this time is different and that we are facing a permanent reduction in the need for human labor. Companies will survive only if they step into the new era. Disruptive innovation is needed in the way they work and manage their human capital. The key challenge lay in the hands of HR leaders.
To answer the questions, we will be addressing the following areas:
• Talent management meets the science of human behavior.
• Turning HR into a Business Execution department.
• Why should HR be concerned with new developments in technology.

Topic 5
And, This is not all, the Government role? And the Citizen centricityThe Industrial Revolution played out of several decades and yet still caused massive social disturbance, unrest and widespread deficiency for many. The digital revolution may happen much faster, across large areas of a complex, interconnected economy that has very tight in-built feedback loops. Citizen centricity highlights the importance to deliver modernized public services that is defined as an increasing emphasis on citizen choice, personalization of services and understanding and responding to service user needs. This will take us to the fact of the cultural road map, the evolution of the Government and the citizen involvement and impact.
This reveals a concern that different questions must be answered in order to understand citizen centricity and its implications fully and fundamentally. This should involve designing of services from user’s point of view and the benefits have to be directly visible and translated into economic and social gains to the citizens.
Crucial is Government role in anticipating new trends and requirements, making sure laws, national policies and standards, regulatory and planning bodies are providing the right environment to embrace the change while securing social and economic landscapes. From where and how do we start?
