    3.0 DAR ES SALAAM MARITIME INSTITUTE (DMI)

    Dar es Salaam Maritime Institute (DMI) is an Insititute under the Ministry of Transport

    established by an Act of Parliament No. 22 of 1991. DMI is a specialized Institute for

    Maritime Education and Training. It develops and produce competent trained and

    qualified Maritime personnel for World shipping industry.

    3.1 LECTURER SCIENCE MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT (1 POST)3.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

    Teaching up to NTA level 8,

    Assists on monitoring cotton cultivation activities in a specified area,

    Assists on monitoring production, processing and marketing costs of cotton,

    Assists by ensuring that all seed cotton delivered at the buying posts ofginneries is correctly graded and free from any foreign matter contamination,

    Assists in monitoring of cotton buying activities and ensuring that rules andregulations are adhered to,

    5.0 KIBAHA EDUCATION CENTRE (KEC)Kibaha Education Centre is a multi-purpose Educational Institution that is located in

    Coast Region (Tumbi area) about 40 kilometers (24 miles) West of Dar es Salaamalong Morogoro Road. This Centre started in 1963. Kibaha Education Centre (KEC)

    was established through Act No.17 of 1969. The overall objective of the Centre as

    originally conceived was, combating three enemies of development namely Poverty,

    Ignorance and Diseases in integrated approach.

    5.1 ASSISTANT PROCUREMENT AND LOGISTICS OFFICER II - (1 POST)

    Ensure day and night security of buildings and properties of the Institute. Make sure that all door and windows are properly closed after working hours.

    Report on catastrophic incidents such fire, floods, theft etc. To the relevant state

    organs like police and fire brigade.

    Advice on appropriate means of improving security within the Institute.

    Maintain peace and order;

    Ensure property of Institute is in safe custody;

    Supervise watchmen on day to day activities;

    established in 1965 to train staff of the National Statistical Offices in 18 Eastern and

    Southern African countries at degree, diploma and certificate levels. As an

    Executive Agency, EASTC is operating semi autonomously in providing quality

    education in the field ofStatistics. EASTC is accredited by NACTE as an Institute of
