Lesson Planning

• Careful planning is important – it help to build confidence.

• Teachers should be flexible with implementing their plan.

• The starting point for the plan should be the main aim/objective of the lesson.

• When planning a series of lessons teachers should ensure that learners get a varied and balanced diet.

• Course book can help teachers enormously but teachers still need to evaluate each piece of material and decide if it will be useful for their group.

• Teachers need to monitor the progress of individuals in the group.
