TRANSCRIPT
“Business isn’t primarily a financial ins,tu,on. It’s a crea,ve ins,tu,on, like pain,ng and sculp,ng, business can be a venue for personal expression
and ar,stry; at its heart it is more like a canvas than a spreadsheet.
Why? Because business is about change. Nothing stands s,ll. Markets change, products evolve, compe, tors move into the neighborhood,
employees come and go.”
Randy Komisar, Venture Capitalist

“Effec, veness does not lie in that narrow minded concept called ra,onality. It lies in the blend of clearheaded logic and powerful intui,on.”
Henry Mintzberg
Renowned academic and author on business and management
Effec>veness happens at three levels
• Ins,nct (reac,on) • Intellect (thought) • Intui,on (inner insight)
Ins>nct 7%
Intellect 25%
Intui>on 68%
The impact on poten>al
• When reac,on shapes ac,on 7% of poten,al is realized.
• When thought shapes ac,on 32% of
poten,al is realized.
• When inner insight shapes thought and ac,on 100% of poten,al is realized.
“We will not solve the problems of the world from the same state of mind we were at when we created them. More than anything else, this new
century demands new states of mind. We must change our materially based analyses of the world around us to include broader, more mul, dimensional
perspec,ves.”
Albert Einstein
Research shows that most individuals engage almost 99% of ,me in a reac,ve state of mind. Even when 99% of ,me is spent in this state, this use makes up less than 1% of human poten,al. In this state the individual limits self to ordinary, mundane, fear-‐based thinking rather than extraordinary mastery.
An emerging perspec>ve
The finer states of mind make it possible for the individual to increase the range, amplitude and al,tude of their thoughts, influence grander and larger magne,c fields, include more choices and possibili,es and use 99% of poten,al.
An emerging perspec,ve for the best use of poten,al is when the individual can engage on an average 68% of ,me in the integra,ve-‐uni,ve state, 25% in the crea,ve state and 7% in the reac,ve state.
The crea,ve state connects the individual with original ideas. And the integra,ve-‐uni,ve state expands the idea to its greater poten,al.
Reac,ve, though it looks wasteful is evolu, onary in nature and reminds the individual that they are doing something unconsciously and must step into finer states of mind to find a solu,on.

“You never change things by figh,ng the exis,ng reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the exis,ng model obsolete.”
Buckminster Fuller, a futurist
The MindSpa Model A MindSpa is an inner directed journey of mindfulness and conscious relaxa,on. The approach relaxes the body and quietens the mind so the individual can tune-‐in with the inner being for insights and original ideas. The key is to shig the state of mind. When the state of mind shigs everything connected with an old percep,on shigs. This releases the individual from the magne,c ahrac,on of the old vibra,on. Progressive percep, ons created in the inner world of thought now cause sustainable, empowering and con, nuous expansion in the outer physical world.
Process
Dura>on, target group and size
A MindSpa Program is a two-‐day program and consists of a set of MindSpas thoughjully curated to achieve the organiza,on’s objec, ves. It is ideal for: • Middle management who are ready to step
into senior roles and take charge of strategy and manage change.
• Crea,ve, design, research and product teams who need to envisage the future and expand an idea to its greater capacity.
An ideal group size is 10-‐12 people .
Benefits for the organiza>on
The MindSpa though it seems personal in nature is actually of great value to the organiza,on. What the organiza,on gets is a more coercive team, open to shig to finer states of mind and co-‐create new reali,es. An ac,on plan at the end of the MindSpa maps not only the organiza, onal goal to be achieved but also the personal prac, ces that will be adopted by the individuals to create new paherns of thinking, feeling and behaving that lead to quantum leap in growth.
Coaching A MindSpa Program can be followed by 3-‐6 months of one-‐to-‐one coaching interven,on. Coaching maps and addresses the unconscious ac,ons of the leader that stem from life experiences and paherns of thinking, feeling and behaving. The coach guides the individual to consciously relax and access finer states of mind. This makes it possible for them to express and release their deepest concerns, worries and fears and create new ways of being that accelerate progress. In the process they develop greater self worth, find purpose and contribute to business and the organiza,on in more effec,ve and produc,ve ways.
About us The MindSpa Company was conceptualized in 2015 to empower and elevate the human spirit. Insights and experiences gleaned from over a decade and more of research has resulted in the crea,on of MindSpas that forms the basis of the work. The model enables the person to consciously dis, nguish states of mind, tune into higher states with ease and consistently and consciously take the leap into new and unchartered paths. Our signature leadership and personal journey programs lead the individual to integrate personal shadows and possibili,es (yin-‐yang), wrap self in self-‐love and grace and realize the trove of poten,al within.
The founder
Under the tutelage of a teacher she developed intui,ve cogni,on to access finer states of mind. In the process a mindfulness-‐beingness model emerged. The model enables the individual to discover purpose, capitalize poten,al and grow into a wonderful integrated human being. In 2015 Maya conceptualized The MindSpa Company. She integrates art and science to design MindSpas that guide the individual to free themselves from disrup,ve paherns of thinking, feeling and behaving and shig to finer states of mind. The benefits are clarity, inner freedom, the ability to manage change, expand the mind & co-‐create new futures. Her clients include students, entrepreneurs, independent professionals, senior managers and leaders of organiza, ons from sectors as diverse as banking and finance, informa,on technology, manufacturing, design, pharmaceu, cal and retail.
Maya started her career in 1984 as Chef with the Taj Group of Hotels. In 1992 she moved into learning and development, set up learning labs for group hotels in the South and in Sri Lanka -‐ designed course content and led workshops on hospitality and management skills. In 1999 she resigned from her job to pursue a journey to discover the self.
