    Changeisaninterestingconceptbecauseitrequiresbecomingaware.Itrequiresdeciding

    howyounolongerwanttobe.Andthatlevelofawarenesstakesacertainamountofmentaleffort

    andrestraint.

    Iwanttotalkabouttheimportanceofchange,ofwhyweshouldorwhywewanttochange,

    andwhywewouldactuallywanttocreateanewselforanewlife.Whatarethebenefits?Change

    isallaboutexpansion.Itsallaboutunlearningcertaintraitsthatwevememorizedandrelearning

    newstates.Itsaboutbreakingthehabitofyouroldselfandreinventinganewself.Itsallabout

    yourdecisiontonolongerthink,act,orfeelinpredictableways.Andwiththis,itrequirespruning

    synapticconnectionsandsproutingnewconnections.Itrequiresun-memorizingemotionalstates

    thathavebecomepartofyourpersonalityandthenreconditioningyourbodytoanewemotionor

    toanewmind.

    Inneuroscience,wehavethreebrainsthatallowustogofromthinkingtodoingto

    being.Thethinkingbrainistheneocortex.Andeverytimewelearnsomethingnew,weforgeanew

    synapticconnectioninourthinkingbrain.Theneocortexisthatcorrugatedbrainthatsitsonthe

    outside,allowsustogaininformationfromourenvironment.Sowaswebegintolearnnewthings,

    weaddanewstitchtocircuitsthatrepresentthethree-dimensionaltapestryinourgraymatter.

    Nowitsnotenoughtojustlearnthatinformation.Itsimportantforustoapplywhatwe

    learn,topersonalizeit,todemonstrateit.Wehavetotakewhatwelearnedintellectuallyof

    philosophically,theknowledgethatwevegained,andapplyit,personalizeit,demonstrateit,and

    changesomethingaboutourselves.Andwhenwedo,wehaveanewexperience.

    Nowexperienceenrichesthebrainbecausewheninthemidstofanewexperience,

    everythingwereseeingandsmellingandtastingandfeelingandhearing,allofourfivesensesare

    gatheringallthisinformationfromtheenvironmentanditssendingarushofinformationbackto

    thebrainthroughthefivedifferentpathways,causingjunglesofneuronstoorganizethemselvesto

    reflecttheevent.Theseneuronsbegintorepresenttheenvironmentandproducechemicalsthat

    begintosignalthebody.Andwhenthathappens,weactivatethesecondbrain,calledthelimbic

    brain,ortheemotionalbrain.

    Themomentwebegintomodifyourbehaviorandwehaveanewexperience,nowweare

    instructingthebodyemotionallytoteachitwhatithasintellectuallyunderstood.Nowwehavetwo

    brainsworkingtogetherWehavemindandbodyinunison.Youareembodyingknowledge

    now.Nowitsnotenoughtohavetheexperienceonce.Youhavetobeabletorepeatit,doitover

    andoveragain,youhavetomemorizeit.Youvegottoneurochemicallyconditionyourmindand

    bodytothepointwhereyourbodyknowsaswellasyourbrain.

    Andwhenyoudothat,youmoveintoastateofbeing.Andwhenwereinastateofbeing,

    thatswhenourthoughtsandfeelingsarealignedtoaconceptandweactivatethatcertainbrain

    calledthecerebellum,thememorycenterinwhichwevepracticeditsomanytimes,wenolonger

    havetothinkaboutit.Theprocessofchangerequiresustogofromthinkingtodoingtobeing.Our

    hardwiredthoughts,ourhabituatedbehaviors,andourmemorizedemotionsdeterminewhowe

    are.Andthequantumfieldtendstorespondtowhoweare.Notsomuchourdesiresorwhatwe

    want,butwhowerebeing.Somovingintoastateofbeingthenallowsustochangenotonlyour

    health,butavenuesandvenuesinourlives.

    Sonowletsgiveanexampleofhowthisallcomestogether.Letssaynowthatyoureada

    bookcalled,FromForgivenesstoLoveToPersonalFreedomandTransformation.Andyouwereso

    enthralledbytheinformationinthisbook,thatyouspenthoursdrivinginyourcar,thinkingabout

    everythingyouvelearned.Youpiecetogethernewideasfromtheinformationinthisbookand

    youvelistenedtothecompanionCD.Wecouldsaythatallofthisinformationisintellectual

    information.Itstheory.Itsphilosophy.Itsallstoredinyourthinkingbrain.

    Andasyoubegintoreviewthisinformation,asyoubegintothinkaboutit,whatyoulearn

    andwhatyoureviewandwhatyoucontemplate,whatyoumemorizeinyourhead,causesneurons

    tobegintodevelopalong-termrelationship.Wecouldsaythattheconceptinneuroscience,nerve

    cellsthatfiretogetherwiretogether,meansthatyouarewiringnewinformationinyourbrain

    philosophically.Nowyouvereadthisbook,youvereviewedalltheinformation.Youveputsome

    hardwareinplacetoreflectwhatyouvelearned.Asamatteroffact,everytimeyouvethought

    aboutit,andeverytimeyouverepeatedthethoughtsoverinyourbrain,youwerereminding

    yourselfandreinforcingthosecircuits.

    Soifwesaythateverytimewelearnsomethingnewisforwardinganewconnectioninyourbrain,wecouldsaythatrememberingthenismaintainingandsustainingthoseconnections.So

    throughtheprocessofrepetition,youreactuallyreinforcingthecircuitssothatnowthosecircuits

    areinplacelongerthanafewmoments.

    Sonow,allthisinformationisstoredinyourthinkingbrain.Andnowyoureinvitedtoa

    companyparty.Andasyoustartthinkingaboutgoingtothiscompanyparty,youreallexcited

    becauseforthelastcoupleofweeksyouvesharedwithallofyourfriendsallofthisgreat

    informationfromthisgreatbookyouveread.Alltheinformationisinyourhead.Youhaventfeltit

    yet,butyouvethoughtalotaboutit.Youcouldtellyourfamilyandfriendsatdinnerwhatitisto

    forgiveandhowtoloveandwhatpersonaltransformationis.Youcouldgiveadviceatpartiesto

    yourbestfriend.Andyoucouldbecomeanexcellentphilosopher.Butitsstilltheory.

    Sonowasyoureinvitedtothiscompanyparty,youhearthatoneofyourenemies,

    someonewhohasbetrayedyou,someonewhohasmisrepresentedyou,orsomeonewhohasborne

    falsewitnessaboutyou,isgoingtobeatthisparty.Andthemomentyouhearthattheyregoingto

    beattheparty,youstarttothinkastheoldselfwhatyouregoingtosay,howyouregoingtothink,

    whatyouregoingtodo,howyouregoingtofeel.Andasyoubegintothinkinthisold,familiarway,

    allofasuddenyouhavethisthought.Whatpieceofknowledge,whatpieceofphilosophy,whatdid

    IlearnfromthatbookthatIcouldactuallyapply?WhatcouldIdemonstrate?HowshouldIchange

    mybehavioranddoexactlywhatthebooksaysinordertohaveanewexperience?

    Inotherwords,howcanIgetmybehaviortomatchmyintentions?HowcouldIgetmyactionsequaltothesenewthoughts?Nowthemomentyouaresittingonyourcouchandyoure

    beginningtoreviewandthinkaboutandremindyourselfandcontemplateoneverythingyou

    learned,themomentyoubegintothinkinnewways,youreforcingyourbraintofireinnew

    sequences,innewpatterns,innewcombinations.Andwheneverwemakethebrainwork

    differently,weremakinganewmind.Sotheprocessthenofyourcontemplationisliterallycreating

    anewmind,andifyoudothatenoughtimes,youreputtingthehardwareinplaceaheadofthe

    actualexperience.

    Nowyouhavesomecircuitstousewhenyougetinthatexperience.Sonowasyoure

    drivingtothepartyandyoureremindingyourselfwhoyounolongerwanttobe,howyounolonger

    wanttoact,howyourenotgoingtofeel,asyoubegintothinkaboutandbecomeconsciousofthoseunconsciouspropensities,themerefactofyoureviewingthem,yourerestrainingcertain

    circuitsfromfiring.Andtheprincipalinneurosciencesaysthatnervecellsthatnolongerfire

    together,nolongerwiretogether.Inotherwords,ifyoudontuseit,youloseit.

    Soasyoubegintobecomeconsciousofthoseautomatickneejerkreactionsandthenyou

    begintothinkaboutanewwayofbeing,asyourebeginningtothinkaboutanewwayofbeing,

    yourecultivatingnewhardwareneurologicallyandputtingthecircuitsinplacebeforetheexperienceactuallyhappens.Sonowyougettothepartyandyouseeyourenemy.Andinsteadof

    respondinginapredictableway,youdecidenowtodoexactlywhatthebooksays.Youforgive.You

    letgo.Younolongerholdhimorhertothepast.Younolongerrevisitthesameemotion.Andas

    youdothisprocessandyouapproachthispersonasyournewselfandyouactuallygothroughthe

    processofforgiveness,themomentyoudoit,andyoudoexactlywhatthebooksays,youbeginto

    feelthissenseoflove.Youfeelthissenseofpersonaltransformationandfreedomthemomentthat

    happens.Youreinanewexperiencebecauseyouchangedyourbehavior.Youarenowteaching

    thebodywhatthemindhasintellectuallyunderstood.Inotherwords,thebodyislearning

    chemicallywhatthemindhasunderstoodphilosophically.Sowecouldsaythatthoughtsarethe

    languageofthebrainandthemindandfeelingsarethelanguageofthebody.

    Nowthemomentyoudoexactlywhatyouresupposedtodo,andyoufeelthisnewfeeling

    calledlove,youfeelthisnewfeelingofliberationandforgiveness,nowthatsecondbrainisactivated

    andthebodyandmindareworkingtogether.Nowyouknowyoureembodyingthatknowledgeand

    youknowwhatforgivenessandfreedomfeelslike.

    Nowitsnotenoughtodoitonce.Wecantforgiveourenemiesonceandsay,Ima

    saint.Wehavetobeabletorepeatitoverandoveragain.Wehavetomemorizeanewstate.And

    aswebegintoneurologicallywirethathardwareinplaceandthenconditionthebodyemotionally,

    therepetitionofthatovertimebothneurologicallyandchemicallyturnsonthatthirdbraincalled

    thecerebellum.Andnowwevejustgonefromthinkingtodoingtobeing.Andifwepracticeit

    enoughtimesnow,whenwemoveintothatstateofbeing,whatthatmeansthenisthatourmindandbodyareinexactorder.Wearenowinanewfeeling.Andifwecanmaintainthatmodified

    stateofbeingandmemorizeit,wecouldsaynowthatinthatstateofbeing,whenwearebeingofa

    mindandbodythatareworkingtogether,wevememorizedaninternalordersogreatthatno

    conditioninourlifecanmoveusfrom.Andthatswheninthatstateofbeingthequantumfieldin

    ourlifebeginstoflowasaresultofwhowerebeing.

    90%to95%ofwhowearebythetimewere35yearsoldsitsinasubconsciousmemory

    systeminwhichmostofourhabitsandbehaviorsexist.Soournaturaldesireinlifeistogofrom

    thinkingtodoingtobeing.Andwhenwecanmakethosestatesofmindcalledloveandforgiveness

    andcompassionasautomaticastheonesthatdriveustoourlowestdenominator,nowweareona

    newadventure.Wereheadedtoanewlife,anewreality
