Significant Points of the Liver Channel of Foot-Jueyin

Taichong(LR3)Meaning Tai, big; chong, important pass. The point is on the foot, where the Qi of meridian is abundant. It is an important pass of this meridian.

Locationon the dorsum of the foot, in the depression distal to the junction of the 1st and 2nd metatarsal bones.

Indication 1. hepatitis, ascariasis of the gallbladder. 2. lowering high blood pressure, fainting and headache caused by high blood pressure, convulsion of epilepsy.

3. spermatorrhea, enuresis, amenorrhea. 4. headache caused by hepatic fire, redness and pain of the eye.
