• For OSCE:– Dr.Hamad Al-Qahtani Book– Previous OSCEs

SURGERY• Marks:– 1st Written (20 marks)

– 2nd Written (20 marks)

– Attendance (10 marks)

– OSCE (50 marks)

PEDIATRICS

• 11 Hours

• Coordinator:– Dr. Hani Temsah.

• Lectures First 2 weeks.

PEDIATRICS

• Group distributed to " A, B, C " :– A= Whole rotation at KKUH– B= 6 weeks KKUH, 6 weeks KSMC– C= 6 weeks KSMC, 6 weeks KKUH

• During the rotation.. Each subgroup will have sessions about various subjects that were not covered in lectures. (only difference in timing)

PEDIATRICS

• Clerking:– 3 clerking (first without marks, last two with

marks).– Follow the guidelines (SOAP)–Write your plan.– Follow up your patient.

PEDIATRICS

• References:– Illustrated Textbook of Pediatrics.– First Aid.– Kaplan Videos.

• OSCE:– Booklet 64 pages “OSCE”

PEDIATRICS• Marks:– OSCE 20– Clerking 15– First Written 25– Final Written 40

MEDICINEDONE BY:

MEDICINE• 11 hours

• Lectures every Wednesday , sometimes Tuesday. ( 2 – 3 lectures)

• Coordinator: – Dr.Anwar Jammah.– Dr. Iram Kiani.

• Distribution:– 2 sub-specialties ( 6 weeks , 5 weeks)

MEDICINE• Bed-side teaching afternoon (1- 4 PM)

– Saturday " or " Sunday " or " Monday.

• Clinical Approach Morning (7:45- 8:30 AM)

• ER (Twice .. Random Distribution)

• Neuro Sessions (Every Tuesday 10:00 AM)– Long-Case.– Short Case.– Present once.

MEDICINE• What to do in the days that don’t have

lectures or sessions at?

– Be with your team.. You are supposed to do rounds with them & then sign the attendance sheet you are given.

– Ask for extra sessions that will benefit you in the OSCE (ECG , ABG, X-Ray, LFT, TFT)

MEDICINE• Reference:– Step-up to Medicine.– Oxford Handbook of Clinical Medicine (for

acute cases mainly,, at the end of the book).– Kaplan Videos.

MEDICINE• OSCE:– الملـك عبد .Interpretation مذكرة– عبدالمحسن .Investigations مذكرة– Old OSCEs– Ethics. (Word Document)

• Hx, Exam, Ethics, Interpretation.

MEDICINE

• Marks:– 30 MCQs final.– 60 OSCE!!– 10 Evaluation ( 5 each sub-specialty).
