我們已收到各位本月份從 Pay Pal 慷慨捐給我們的美元，我們在這裡鄭重的謝謝大家長期以來的支持與貢獻，非常謝謝你

們！九月我們成功舉辦了第一屆台灣動物協會世界動物日舞會。這是個非常值得紀念的夜晚，我們募集了超過台幣一百

一十萬。這些捐款都將用做 2015 年遷移中心地點的經費，我們屆時必須要搬至別的位址。我們非常感激當天贊助者以及

志工們的支持與參予。所有在當天晚上拍攝的照片都已經可以在臉書上看到了。我們非常期待明年再度舉辦舞會，並且

深信一年將比一年更好。

在 10/19 這天我們將會在天母的 Alley Cats 舉辦有獎徵答餐會，期待各位在當天前來參加。

We have received your generous monthly donation of US$ into our Pay Pal account on September 2011. Thank you

again for your continuous generosity and support. September saw the great success of our very first Animals Taiwan

WAD Gala Ball. It was a night to remember and we raised over $1,100,000. This money will be put towards the new

centre that we will need in 2015 when we have to move from where we are currently located. We are very grateful for

the support we got on this night from the sponsors, volunteers and attendies. All photos can be seen on our facebook

page. We are looking forward to having another gala ball next year which will be even better.

On October 19th we’ll be having a Pub Quiz at Alley Cats in Tiamue , so we hope many of you can come and support us.

本月份的認養情形並不是完全順利。有一些飼主在認

養狗狗一段時間之後，把狗狗們退還給我們，原因包

括狗狗太活潑或他們沒有時間可以訓練狗狗等。在領

養之前，我們皆有與飼主們充分溝通可能面臨的照養

與訓練等問題，但是很不幸地很多人在當時雖然同

意，卻不時完全明白照顧一隻動物所必須要做的犧

牲。儘管如此，仍然有一些小動物被成功認養。

This month has been up and down for adoptions.

We’ve had many people interested in adopting

puppies but after taking the puppies home for the

tryout they have returned them for various reasons

from they are too playful to that they just don’t have

time to train them. We do talk to all our potential

adopters about care and training of the animals and

unfortunately many people agree when they are at

the centre but don’t fully understand what it takes to

care for a puppy. However, we have still had quite a

few successful adoptions.

這個月是貓咪救援月。當我們在幫街貓結紮時，有時候會遇到很小的貓咪，如果牠們年紀還很小並且還可以訓練與人相

處，我們就會把他們帶回中心並幫牠們找新家。

This month has been kitten rescue. While doing our TNR projects we sometimes come across kittens and if they are

still young enough to be socialzed we will take them in and find new homes for them.

Naples 和 Surf 在被認養之後卻在短時間內被退回，所幸，

牠們又很快地終於找到永久的家了。

Charlotte 和牠的姐妹 Cotton 都備有愛心的家庭認養，並且

Cotton 即將要和牠的新爸爸媽媽去法國。

Naples and Surf were two of the puppies who originally

went on tryouts but were returned after a short while.

However, the good news is they were quickly snapped up

and have found their forever homes, finally.

Luffy 被一個很棒的家庭認養，我們相信牠會從探索牠新的家找到很多樂趣。

Yin 和 Yang 同時被一個主人一起認養，這真是一件很棒的事。牠們倆個是在同一個地方被我們找到，而現在

牠們可以一起永遠住在一個關愛牠們的家庭。

另外，Angel 也終於找到牠的永久的家了。Angel 在找的過程並不是十分順利，但現在我們很高興告訴大家

牠現在很幸福而且得到很多的關愛。

Luffy has been adopted to a wonderful new family and we know he’ll have fun exploring his new home.

Yin and Yang have been adopted together which is fantastic as they were rescued together and now get to

spend the rest of their lives together in their loving home.

Also Angel has finally found her forever home. It’s been a bit of long road for Angel but we are so happy to

report that she’s very happy and has lots of love.

Suri, Boss 和 Harry 都被送去寄養，由於牠們需要一對一的照護，以幫助牠們更願意與人相處，更容易接受

照護。

Suri, Boss and Harry have all been placed in foster care as they are in need of some one on one care to help

them become more sociable and more adoptable.

我們有三隻小貓咪(還沒取好名字)就是這樣的情

況。牠們在我們幫街貓結紮時找到，只有兩個多

月大，我們認為有義務給牠們一個找到愛惜牠們

的家的機會。

3 little kittens (still awaiting names) were such a

case. They were caught during a TNR project

and being only a couple of months old we

believe that we have the obligation to give them

the best chance of finding a new loving home.

還有另外三隻小貓咪也是我們在木柵幫街貓結紮時找到。

Syrup 是一隻四個月大的薑黃色小母貓，Waffle 是一隻兩個月

大的虎斑小公貓，還有 Tea 是一隻兩個月大的薑黃色白色相間

的小母貓。牠們三個都很健康也很親近人。牠們現在正被寄養

直到牠們找到永久的家。

Another 3 kittens were also caught during a TNR project in

Mucha. Syrup, a 4 month old ginger female, Waffle, a 2

month old tabby male and Tea, a 2 month old ginger and

white female. All are healthy and very sweet. They are now

in foster care until they find their forever homes.

接下來是令人傷心的案例。當 Wolf 被找到的時

候，正孤單的在路上遊走。我們馬上把牠救起並

立刻給予特別照護。但牠實在太小也太虛弱，也

沒有力氣可以進食了。牠很勇敢地與死神搏鬥了

四天，但很不幸地，或許是與這個世界沒有足夠

的緣份，牠過世了，到達彩虹彼端的園地。我們

衷心希望牠現在是安全、幸福的。

A sad rescue! Wolf was found wandering the

side walk all alone. He was quickly scooped up

and taken into foster care. However, he was

very small and weak and didn’t have much

energy in him to eat. He fought for 4 days but

unfortunately he was not meant for this world

and passed over the rainbow to greener land.

We hope he’s happy and safe now.

我們很高興告訴大家自從今年四月至九月底止，我們

已成功地結紮並放回原處 577 隻貓咪。這全歸功於辛

勤的志工們和持續捐款給我們的支持者。我們已經超

出了政府給予的補助預算，目前全部是使用台灣動物

協會獲得的捐款。我們也非常感激不同的公司贊助單

位給予狗狗和貓貓結紮計畫的飼料補助。

九月我們也在深坑結紮了三隻狗狗，同時也有志工們

在台北近郊完成了狗狗的結紮計畫。今年為止，狗狗

的結紮計畫總共成功替超過 60隻公狗和超過 80隻母

狗結紮並放回。我們密切地與餵養女士們合作以確保

每一個地區已百分之百完成並成功控制。

我們長期以來與許多在大台北地區的餵養女士合作。中心有一些狗狗對於每天被關在中心感到

十分不快樂，牠們常常惹麻煩也和其他狗狗相處不好，並且其中至少有兩隻不快樂的狗狗從來

沒有和志工出去散過不，也由於太害羞而不敢和志工親近玩耍。於是我們決定把 6 隻不快樂的

狗狗放到開放場所，並由該地區的餵養女士和結紮志工監視。

Happy, Wendel, Sister, Lena, Hawking 和 Phonix 是被放出去的 6 隻狗狗。Wendel 無法適應

良好所以又送回中心，其餘幾隻狗狗情況都很好。牠們都很享受新的自由活動空間並且都已經

認得餵養女士的車，紛紛在餵食時間跑出來。我們會持續監視牠們並會在有任何適應不良發生

時帶回中心。

A-Wang 是那隻當初出車禍而必須要使用輪椅的狗狗，我們已經把牠送回給當時救牠的女士照

料，我們也會時時去關心牠的近況。

We are very pleased to report that from April 2011 until the end of Sept 2011

we have spayed and neutered 577 cats and released them back to their

original area. This is due to the hard work of our volunteers and the continuous

donations from our supporters. We have surpassed the government funding

figures and we are now using solely Animals Taiwan’s donations. We are also

very grateful for the various company sponsors who help supply us with food

for both our dog and cat TNR projects.

In September we have also spayed and neuterd 3 dogs from the Shen Keng

area.

We have also had volunteers completing CNR project on doggies in the

outskirts of Taipei, so far this year this project has seen over 60 males neutered

and returned and over 80 females spayed and returned. We are working

closely with the feeding ladies to make sure that each area is completed 100%

to make sure that those areas are controlled properly.

We have been working long term with various feeding ladies

around the Taipei area and decided that there were a few of our

dogs who were unhappy being couped up at the centre day in

and day out. They often caused problems with other dogs and at

least two of them have never been walked or petted by

volunteers due to their shyness. So the decision was made to

release 6 of our dogs into an open area which is monitored by a

feeding lady and also our volunteers who are continuing to do

CNR projects in this area.

Happy, Wendel, Sister, Lena, Hawking and Phonix were

released. Wendel has returned to our centre as he didn’t suit the

area well. The others we are happy to report are doing great.

They are loving their new freedom and now recognize the

feeding lady’s car and come running out at feeding time. We will

continue to monitor them and if there are any problems we will

bring them back to the centre.

A-Wang the dog which was hit by a car and needed a wheelchair

has been returned to his rescuer. She will be taking care of him

and we will keep checking in on him.

我們也決定把 Shorty，一隻在結紮行動捕捉到的本來要提供認養的小貓咪，放回我們原本找到牠的地方。餵養

女士會就近關照牠並確定牠沒事。

在 9/25 有一位王獸醫師來拜訪我們，牠不但幫我們為所有貓咪和狗狗施打預防針，並且也幫牠們做健康檢查甚

至替比較不溫馴的小動物們剪指甲。那天對獸醫師及我們的工作人員而言都是疲累的一天，但我們很高興向大

家報告我們的小動物們都很健康而且都施打了最近期的疫苗。

It was also decided that Shorty, a TNR cat that we thought could be adopted, should be released back to his

neighbourhood where the feeding lady will keep an eye on him and make sure he’s ok.

We had a visit from a registered vet Dr. Wang on Sept 25th. He not only helped us vaccinate all our cats and

dogs but also helped us check their health and went as far as to help us clip the nails of our more difficult furry

friends. It was a very long and tiring day for our vet and staff, but we are pleased to report that our dogs are all

healthy and up to date on their vaccinations.

另外兩則關於狗狗的新聞。我們發現 Maria 在發情而這個舉動令其他的公狗狗騷動。Maria 早在之前就被結紮了

但我們後來發現牠有一個卵巢遺漏未被拿出，以至於牠再度發情。牠目前已被再度結紮並且復原良好。

Addies 也被我們發現有點狀況於是我們送牠去給獸醫檢查，並發現牠有一個睪丸向內生長而必須被移除。牠即

將會在十月初接受這個手術。

Two more notes on our doggies, It was noticed that Maria was in heat and this was causing a disturbance with

the male dogs. Maria has been spayed but unfortunately one of her ovaries was missed which has caused her

to come into heat again. She has had the ovary removed and is recovering well.

Addie was also noticed to be having some problems so he was taken for a check up and one of his balls has

grown inwards and needs to be removed. He’ll have this operation at the beginning of October.
