As one of the pioneering corporations approved by the State Conncil and established to undertake overseas economic and technological cooperation and foreign-aid development projects, China National Corporation for Overseas Economic Cooperation (CCOEC) has gone through a glorious journey of half a century. Hailed as the friendship messenger of the Chinese people, CCOEC has successfully implemented and completed over 600 development projects under China’s foreign-aid programs in more than 100 countries and regions worldwide, which have widely been praised by governments and peoples of the recipient countries, thus winning honor and glory for the Chinese government. CCOEC is an enterprise eligible for foreign-aid projects bidding approved by the Ministry of Commerce of China, and has the qualification for undertaking foreign economic cooperation of. P. R. China. The Corporation is capable of undertaking overseas projects and domestic international bidding projects. Since its establishment, based on foreign-aid projects and excellent quality service and efficiency, the Corporation has vigorously expanded on the overseas engineering projects market and has provided services for many countries and regions all over the world. CCOEC successfully ranked among 2011 ENR (Engineering News-Record) top 225 international contractors, due to its good implementation in power projects in Eastern European countries.

In recent years, CCOEC has committed itself to in-depth exploitation of business opportunities in the electric power sector in countries including the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Eastern Europe, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Central Asia and Africa, and engaged in construction of large and medium thermal and hydro power plants and gas-fired power plants as well as other kinds of renewable energy facilities. One such extraordinary example is the high-performance clean energy solutions represented by the gas turbine generation technology. The Minsk No.2 Thermal Power Plant Rehabilitation Project undertaken by CCOEC, which has come into operation, is the first project for China-Belarus coopera-tion in the energy sector. Minsk No.5 Thermal Power Plant Rehabilitation Project in Belarus is another major project of CCOEC in the bilateral cooperation, which has been equipped with powerful gas turbines manufactured in China. This is a landmark achievement as well as an innovative paragon for Chinese enterprises to explore the international market with their own products developed out of imported and assimilated foreign technologies and into their own intellectual property rights and has attracted great attention from leaders of both countries. Taking an active role in exploring the hydropower market in Turkey, the Corporation triumphed over its European competitors, and has successfully developed ten hydro power plants for Turkey. Apart from its efforts to popularize market application of the high-performance and eco-friendly technology-based supercritical and circulated fluidized boilers for coal-fired power plants, CCOEC has also engaged in other power-related projects such as construction of power transmission facilities.

The Corporation has been undertaking the Chinese government foreign-aid goods and materials business since its establish-ment. Presently the Corporation, with its outstanding achievement and credit standing and rich management and technology experience, is keeping extensive economic cooperation with nearly 100 countries and regions in five continents of the world and has supplied goods/materials, equipment and technical services to Asian and African recipient countries in the fields of agriculture, energy, light industry, chemical industry, telecommunications, culture and education, health and urban construction, etc. The Corporation has successfully completed over 100 foreign-aid goods and materials projects of the Chinese government, including provision of water supply equipment to Jamaica, supply of textiles to Cuba, supply of police jeeps as donation to the Bolivian government, supply of fertilizers to Togo, supply of office equipment to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Djibouti and supply of medical equipment to Belarus. Skills training training

The Corporation attaches great importance to management and qual i ty of i ts labor-dispatching business and has developed a whole set of standard business processes and supporting measures on project negotiation and contract signing, personnel recruitment, training abroad, exit procedures arrangement, labor dispatching and follow-up management. Regulations and rules on labor service coop-eration are also made and followed in compli-ance with relevant laws and regulations of the state and of China International Contractors Association. The Corporation has achieved good reputation and appraisal from domestic and overseas partners in labor service coop-eration. In 2003, CCOEC met ISO 9001-2000 management system standards in its labor and trainee dispatching business.

CGL, located in Huangpu District, has 18,000 square meters of floor space and 8,000 square meters of storage space. As a company specializing in storage and logistics and diversifying its business into customs clearance of foreign aid goods and consigned processing of raw materials, CGL has now developed into a modern storage and logistics center in Guangzhou.
