ACADEMIC PROJECT Big Data: Opportunities and Challenges in Healthcare (Term Paper, The American Healthcare System) March 2016 – April 2016 Identified the Challenges faced by the healthcare industry in adopting Big Data. Presented how data analytics can be a game changer for the healthcare industry and how few startups are solving in ways never thought of. Consumer Complaints Analysis (BA Project with SAS Enterprise Miner) September 2016 – December 2016 Created visualizations using Tableau to show the distribution of the number of complaints received using heat map. Predicted how often the consumer disputed against the response of the financial institution in reference to their complaints. Concluded how companies can improve the customer service experience and reduce the number of complaints. Moore Medical Corporation (Case Study and Presentation, Healthcare Informatics) October 2016 Analyzed the problems with Moore’s operational strategies & recommended key changes to fulfill their mission and expand customer base. Case study also focused on whether Moore should invest on a new CRM system or Bolt-on ERP modules. We explained why they should wait on the CRM and go for the Demand Planning module for the ERP system to address the problem of split shipments. Kayak Hotel Reservation System (ER and Dimensional Modeling Project using Erwin Data Modeler) September 2016 Used snapshots from a functional website to understand the entities and business rules (reverse engineer the database design).
