Step OneGo to the website: www.hootsuite.com


Click sign up now

Step Two

It will ask to either choose one that costs or the one that is free, PICK FREE!


Next, you must fill out the selected plan fields

Then click Create Account


Step ThreeThis page will appear on your screen


Now all you have to do is start connecting Hootsuite to social networks


Step FiveGo to your HootSuite dashboard


Note: Before you add a social network, make sure that you have accounts on those networks

Click Add a Social Network, then this screen should appear:


Step Six You will want to press the Connect with Twitter button


Note: In this presentation, I will connect with just Twitter and Facebook, since the procedure for the other social media sites are similar.

Once you click, this screen will pop up on your computer:

Note:Be logged into twitter on your computer before you Authorize Hootsuite!

Fill out the fields and press Authorize


Step SevenAfter you Authorize HootSuite to your Twitter account, it should pop up as a Twitter tab:


Once the network you added shows up on the next stream, you have successfully connected to a network!


Step EightLet us connect to Facebook


(Remember to be logged into your Facebook account before adding it on) HootSuite

Click this button

This page will appear and you type in your Facebook email and password:


Step NineNext HootSuite will ask you a question regarding Facebook, and you click “Allow”



Step TenHootSuite will then ask you to import pages or groups you may have on your Facebook page.....You may choose to add any or leave as is


Then you press Finish Importing


Step ElevenFacebook will then be added as a tab on your HootSuite account



“Posting Messages”Type in a message (420 words or less) you want your followers on Twitter and Facebook to see

Then you must select the profile you wish your message will post on

Once you select, they will appear like this:



Posting Messages Cont..You can schedule the message you are wanting to post by clicking on the calendar:

Or just send now

You can also attach photos or documents:



Finally.....You are ready to work from HootSuite, Enjoy!
