• God showed Rammanad the Guru with in him and he saw the light of the mind.

ਉਆ ਅਉਸਰ ਕੈ ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ॥ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਅਪਨਾ ਪਰਭੁ ਲਸਮਰਨੁ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਹਲਰ ਪਾਂਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ I am a sacrifice to that occasion. Twenty-four hours a day, I meditate in remembrance on my God; by great good fortune, I have found the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਭਿੋ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਦਾਸੁ ਦਾਸਨ ਕੋ ਊਤਮੁ ਸੈਨੁ ਜਨੁ ਨਾਈ ॥ ਊਚ ਤੇ ਊਚ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਸਮਦਰਸੀ ਰਲਵਦਾਸ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਬਲਿ ਆਈ ॥੧॥ Kabeer is good, the slave of the Lord's slaves; the humble barber Sain is sublime. Highest of the high is Naam Dayv, who looked upon all alike; Ravi Daas was in tune with the Lord. ||1||

ਜੀਉ ਲਪਿੰ ਡੁ ਤਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਸਾਧਨ ਕਾ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਸਿੰ ਤ ਰੇਨਾਈ ॥ ਸਿੰ ਤ ਪਰਤਾਲਪ ਭਰਮ ਸਲਭ ਨਾਸੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਲਮਿੇ ਗੁਸਾਈ ॥੨॥੪॥੧੮॥ My soul, body and wealth belong to the Saints; my mind longs for the dust of the Saints. And by the radiant Grace of the Saints, all my doubts have been erased. O Nanak, I have met the Lord. ||2||4||18||

ਐਸੀ ਿਾਿ ਤੁਝ ਲਬਨੁ ਕਉਨੁ ਕਰੈ ॥ ਗਰੀਬ ਲਨਵਾਜੁ ਗੁਸਈਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਥੈ ਛਤੁ ਧਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ O Love, who else but You could do such a thing?

O Patron of the poor, Lord of the World, You have put the canopy of Your Grace over my head. ||1||Pause||ਜਾ ਕੀ ਛੋਲਤ ਜਗਤ ਕਉ ਿਾਗੈ ਤਾ ਪਰ ਤੁਹੀ ਢਰੈ ॥ ਨੀਚਹ ਊਚ ਕਰੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੋਲਬਿੰ ਦੁ ਕਾਹੂ ਤੇ ਨ ਡਰੈ ॥੧॥ Only You can grant Mercy to that person whose touch pollutes the world. You exalt and elevate the lowly, O my Lord of the Universe; You are not afraid of anyone. ||1||

ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਲਤਿੋਚਨੁ ਸਧਨਾ ਸੈਨੁ ਤਰੈ ॥ ਕਲਹ ਰਲਵਦਾਸੁ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਰੇ ਸਿੰ ਤਹੁ ਹਲਰ ਜੀਉ ਤੇ ਸਭੈ ਸਰੈ ॥੨॥੧॥Naam Dayv, Kabeer, Trilochan, Sadhana and Sain crossed over.

Says Ravi Daas, listen, O Saints, through the Dear Lord, all is accomplished. ||2||1||

ਸੈਨੁ ਨਾਈ ਬੁਤਕਾਰੀਆ ਓਹੁ ਘਲਰ ਘਲਰ ਸੁਲਨਆ ॥ ਲਹਰਦੇ ਵਲਸਆ ਪਾਰਬਰਹਮੁ ਭਗਤਾ ਮਲਹ ਗਲਨਆ ॥੩॥ ||3||

Sain, the barber, the village drudge, became famous in each and every house. The Supreme Lord God dwelled in his heart, and he was counted among the devotees. ||3||

ਨਾਈ ਉਧਲਰਓ ਸੈਨੁ ਸੇਵ ॥ ਮਨੁ ਡੀਲਗ ਨ ਡੋਿੈ ਕਹੂਿੰ ਜਾਇ ॥ ਮਨ ਤੂ ਭੀ ਤਰਸਲਹ ਸਰਲਿ ਪਾਇ ॥੬॥ Sain the barber was saved through his selfless service.

Do not let your mind waver or wander; do not let it go anywhere.

O my mind, you too shall cross over; seek the Sanctuary of God. ||6||

ਲਜਹ ਅਨੁਗਰਹੁ ਠਾਕੁਲਰ ਕੀਓ ਆਲਪ ॥ ਸੇ ਤੈਂ ਿੀਨੇ ਭਗਤ ਰਾਲਿ ॥ ਲਤਨ ਕਾ ਗੁਿੁ ਅਵਗਿੁ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਲਰਓ ਕੋਇ ॥ ਇਹ ਲਬਲਧ ਦੇਲਿ ਮਨੁ ਿਗਾ ਸੇਵ ॥੭॥O my Lord and Master, You have shown Your Mercy to them.

You saved those devotees.

You do not take their merits and demerits into account.

Seeing these ways of Yours, I have dedicated my mind to Your service. ||7||

ਸਰੀ ਸੈਿੁ ॥ Sri Sain:

ਧੂਪ ਦੀਪ ਲਘਰਤ ਸਾਲਜ ਆਰਤੀ ॥ With incense, lamps and ghee, I offer this lamp-lit worship service.

ਵਾਰਨੇ ਜਾਉ ਕਮਿਾ ਪਤੀ ॥੧॥ I am a sacrifice to the Lord of Lakshmi. ||1||

ਮਿੰਗਿਾ ਹਲਰ ਮਿੰਗਿਾ ॥ Hail to You, Lord, hail to You!

ਲਨਤ ਮਿੰਗਿੁ ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਕੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ Again and again, hail to You, Lord King, Ruler of all!||1||Pause||

ਊਤਮੁ ਦੀਅਰਾ ਲਨਰਮਿ ਬਾਤੀ ॥ Sublime is the lamp, and pure is the wick.

ਤੁਹੀ ਲਨਰਿੰਜਨੁ ਕਮਿਾ ਪਾਤੀ ॥੨॥ You are immaculate and pure, O Brilliant Lord of Wealth! ||2||

ਰਾਮਾ ਭਗਲਤ ਰਾਮਾਨਿੰ ਦੁ ਜਾਨੈ ॥ Raamaanand knows the devotional worship of the Lord.

ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮਾਨਿੰ ਦੁ ਬਿਾਨੈ ॥੩॥ He says that the Lord is all-pervading, the embodiment of supreme joy. ||3||

ਮਦਨ ਮੂਰਲਤ ਭੈ ਤਾਲਰ ਗੋਲਬਿੰ ਦੇ ॥ The Lord of the world, of wondrous form, has carried me acrossthe terrifying world-ocean.

ਸੈਨੁ ਭਿੈ ਭਜੁ ਪਰਮਾਨਿੰ ਦੇ ॥੪॥੨॥ Says Sain, remember the Lord, the embodiment of supreme joy! ||4||2||

Bhagat Rammanad

ਰਾਮਾਨਿੰ ਦ ਜੀ ਘਰੁ ੧ Raamaanand Jee, First House:

ੴ ਸਲਤਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਲਦ ॥ One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਕਤ ਜਾਈਐ ਰੇ ਘਰ ਿਾਗੋ ਰਿੰ ਗੁ ॥ Where should I go? My home is filled with bliss.

ਮੇਰਾ ਲਚਤੁ ਨ ਚਿੈ ਮਨੁ ਭਇਓ ਪਿੰਗੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ My consciousness does not go out wandering. My mind has becomecrippled. ||1||Pause||

ਏਕ ਲਦਵਸ ਮਨ ਭਈ ਉਮਿੰਗ ॥ One day, a desire welled up in my mind.

ਘਲਸ ਚਿੰਦਨ ਚੋਆ ਬਹੁ ਸੁਗਿੰ ਧ ॥ I ground up sandalwood, along with several fragrant oils.

ਪੂਜਨ ਚਾਿੀ ਬਰਹਮ ਠਾਇ ॥ I went to God's place, and worshipped Him there.

ਸੋ ਬਰਹਮੁ ਬਤਾਇਓ ਗੁਰ ਮਨ ਹੀ ਮਾਲਹ ॥੧॥ That God showed me the Guru, within my own mind. ||1||

ਜਹਾ ਜਾਈਐ ਤਹ ਜਿ ਪਿਾਨ ॥ Wherever I go, I find water and stones.

ਤੂ ਪੂਲਰ ਰਲਹਓ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਸਮਾਨ ॥ You are totally pervading and permeating in all.

ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਸਭ ਦੇਿੇ ਜੋਇ ॥ I have searched through all the Vedas and the Puraanas.

ਊਹਾਂ ਤਉ ਜਾਈਐ ਜਉ ਈਹਾਂ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥ I would go there, only if the Lord were not here. ||2||

ਸਲਤਗੁਰ ਮੈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਤੋਰ ॥ I am a sacrifice to You, O my True Guru.

ਲਜਲਨ ਸਕਿ ਲਬਕਿ ਭਰਮ ਕਾਟੇ ਮੋਰ ॥ You have cut through all my confusion and doubt.

ਰਾਮਾਨਿੰ ਦ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਰਮਤ ਬਰਹਮ ॥ Raamaanand's Lord and Master is the All-pervading Lord God.

ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਕਾਟੈ ਕੋਲਟ ਕਰਮ ॥੩॥੧॥ The Word of the Guru's Shabad eradicates the karma of millions of past actions. ||3||1||

ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਅਿੰ ਲਮਰਤੁ ਹੈ ਲਜਤੁ ਪੀਤੈ ਲਤਿ ਜਾਇ ॥ The Word of the Guru's Shabad is Ambrosial Nectar; drinking it in, thirst is quenched.

ਆਵਿ ਜਾਿਾ ਰਲਹ ਗਇਆ ਆਲਪ ਹੋਆ ਲਮਹਰਵਾਨੁ ॥ My comings and goings in reincarnation have come to an end; He Himself has bestowed His Mercy.

ਸਚੁ ਮਹਿੁ ਘਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਪਛਾਨੁ ॥੩॥I have obtained my home in the True Mansion of His Presence, realizing the Word of the Guru's Shabad. ||3||

ਗੁਰੁ ਮਿੰ ਤੁ ਲਦਰੜਾਏ ਹਲਰ ਰਸਲਕ ਰਸਾਏ ਹਲਰ ਅਿੰ ਲਮਰਤੁ ਹਲਰ ਮੁਲਿ ਚੋਇ ਜੀਉ ॥

The Guru implants His Mantra within the heart, and one savors the sublime essence of the Lord; the Ambrosial Nectar of the Lord trickles into his mouth.

ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਜਾਲਪ ਮਨ ਸੁਿਾ ॥ Chanting the Word of the Guru's Shabad, your mind shall be at peace.

ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਮਨੁ ਲਨਰਮਿੁ ਸੁਿੁ ਹੋਇ ॥ Applying oneself to the service of the Guru, the mind is purified, and peace is obtained.

ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਮਲਨ ਵਲਸਆ ਹਉਮੈ ਲਵਚਹੁ ਿੋਇ ॥ The Word of the Guru's Shabad abides within the mind, and egotism is eliminated from within.

ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਿਾਭੁ ਸਦਾ ਮਲਨ ਹੋਇ ॥੬॥ The Treasure of the Naam is acquired, and the mind reaps the lasting profit. ||6||

ਸੇ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਲਜ ਗੁਲਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਿਾਏ ॥ ਅਨਲਦਨੁ ਭਗਲਤ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਦਰੜਾਏ ॥ How very fortunate are they, who are committed to the Guru's service.

Night and day, they are engaged in devotional worship; the True Name is implanted within them.

ਭਗਤਾ ਤੈ ਸੈਸਾਰੀਆ ਜੋੜੁ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਆਇਆ ॥ ਕਰਤਾ ਆਲਪ ਅਭੁਿੁ ਹੈ ਨ ਭੁਿੈ ਲਕਸੈ ਦਾ ਭੁਿਾਇਆ ॥ Between the Lord's devotees and the people of the world, there can never be any true alliance. The Creator Himself is infallible. He cannot be fooled; no one can fool Him.

ਭਗਤ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਿਅਨੁ ਲਜਨੀ ਸਚੋ ਸਚੁ ਕਮਾਇਆ ॥ ਸੈਸਾਰੀ ਆਲਪ ਿੁਆਇਅਨੁ ਲਜਨੀ ਕੂੜੁ ਬੋਲਿ ਬੋਲਿ ਲਬਿੁ ਿਾਇਆ ॥He blends His devotees with Himself; they practice Truth, and only Truth. The Lord Himself leads the people of the world astray; they tell lies, and by telling lies, they eat poison.

ਚਿਿ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਿਨੀ ਕਾਮੁ ਕਰੋਧੁ ਲਵਸੁ ਵਧਾਇਆ ॥ ਭਗਤ ਕਰਲਨ ਹਲਰ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਲਜਨੀ ਅਨਲਦਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਧਆਇਆ ॥ They do not recognize the ultimate reality, that we all must go; they continue to cultivate the poisons of sexual desire and anger. The devotees serve the Lord; night and day, they meditate on the Naam.

ਹਲਰ ਭਗਤਨ ਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the anchor and support of the Lord's devotees.

ਭਗਤਾ ਕੀ ਚਾਿ ਲਨਰਾਿੀ ॥ ਚਾਿਾ ਲਨਰਾਿੀ ਭਗਤਾਹ ਕੇਰੀ ਲਬਿਮ ਮਾਰਲਗ ਚਿਿਾ ॥The lifestyle of the devotees is unique and distinct.

The devotees' lifestyle is unique and distinct; they follow the most difficult path.

ਿਬੁ ਿੋਭੁ ਅਹਿੰਕਾਰੁ ਤਲਜ ਲਤਰਸਨਾ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਬੋਿਿਾ ॥ ਿਿੰ ਲਨਅਹੁ ਲਤਿੀ ਵਾਿਹੁ ਲਨਕੀ ਏਤੁ ਮਾਰਲਗ ਜਾਿਾ ॥They renounce greed, avarice, egotism and desire; they do not talk too much. The path they take is sharper than a two-edged sword, and finer than a hair.

ਕਲਰ ਲਕਰਪਾ ਲਜਸੁ ਰਾਿੈ ਆਲਪ ॥ ਸੋਈ ਭਗਤੁ ਜਪੈ ਨਾਮ ਜਾਪ ॥ That person, whom the Lord, in His Mercy, saves -

that devotee chants and meditates on the Naam.
