TAS Energy, Houston, Texas, United States. (2012-2015)Project Engineer I I (Apr/2014-Feb/2015)

Manage multiple projects budgeted from $1 to $10 Million in Turbine Inlet Cooling Systems (TIC) in the USA, Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Review TIC customer specifications and make recommendations for modifications and Changes to job specific deliverables to comply with ASME, NEC, IBC and OSHA standard codes.

Work with customers to insure agreement and understanding on all technical project details. Manage Action Item Lists to assist both Project Management and the Customer Service

Manager and technicians to solve field related problems. Assist and coordinate with the Drafting and Design Department to maintain all design guides,

and fabrication standards. Track, document, and update the project schedules and lists of required deliverables including

Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, equipment data sheets (Pumps, Chillers Cooling Towers, Tanks Chemical Treatment Systems, Filtration Systems, A/C Units, Exhaust Fans & Valves) and other required documents using ProCore, SharePoint and EPDM.

Ensure timely delivery of all documents and hardware to both internal and external customers always on time and on budget.

Review and approve engineering related deliverables (Shop drawings, Customer Drawings equipment Data Sheets, Engineering Change Orders, Requests for Information internal and external, IOM Manual, Sequence of Operation and Commissioning Manuals.

Designer I I (Feb/2012-Apr/2014)

Use SolidWorks and AutoCAD in the design of Pipe Circuits for TIC enclosed packages and Renewal Energy Systems (RES) following the Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), Equipment Data Sheets and costumer specifications ensuring the system is designed according to ASME B31.1 with knowledge of standard ASME B16 codes for Buttweld, Threaded, Socketweld, Grooved (Victaulic), Flanged, PVC, CPVC and Copper pipe Fittings.

Creation and Development of a Solidworks® Library with an approximate total of 2,000 different parts including Pumps, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Valves, HVAC equipment, pipe fittings, electrical commodities, structural support hardware, and structural ANSI and ISO profiles. Developed in 1 year and now fully functional for the Design department.

Create shop drawings for the construction of the TIC Packages and RES including Piping and Structural fabrication details, assembly details for Piping Circuits, Base and Wall Frames, Instrumentation (Temperature, Pressure and Flow Rate), and Electrical assembly Details.

Assist the Purchasing department in the generation of Bills of Material (BOM) from the 3D model.

Perform preliminary design calculations and simulations such as flow models, piping and structural stress analysis for engineer review

Assist the Marketing department in the generation on rendered photos and animations using Solidworks® for the TIC and RES product lines.

CHIL-PAK®, Juárez, Chihuahua, México. (2005-2011)Design Engineer (Sep/2008-Nov/2011)

Review customer specifications ensure that the company’s product matches their requirements and make recommendations to match theirs needs and at the same time comply with the ASHRAE, IBC and OSHA standard codes.

Use AutoCAD to develop Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams to ensure the entire design team is working with the latest information coming from the equipment data sheets and customer requirements.

Use SolidWorks and AutoCAD in the design of Pipe Circuits and Structural Design for Commercial Chilled Water Packages (CHIL-PAK®) and Boiler Packages for HVAC applications in Schools, Hotels, Casinos, Hospitals and Industrial Facilities, following Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Equipment Data Sheets and costumer specifications ensuring the system is designed following the costumer and ASHRAE Standard codes.

Create, check and approve Customer Drawings and Shop Drawings for the construction of Air Handler Units, CHIL-PAK® Packages and Boiler Packages including Piping and Structural fabrication details, assembly details for Piping Circuits, Base and Wall Frames.

Assist the Purchasing department in the generation, check and approval of Bill of Materials (BOM) for the procurement of the Equipment and all the Structural profiles and Hardware, Pipe Fittings, Electrical and Control components, and any consumables required from the Manufacturing Department to the fabrication of CHIL-PAK® Packages, Boiler Packages and Air Handler Units.

Perform Design calculations and simulations such as flow models, piping and structural stress analysis and Pressure Drop Calculations.

Perform Structural analysis using Structural simulations Software (RISA 3D, INSTEP 32, beam calculator) to ensure the Structural design of the packages comply with the IBC standard requirements.

Perform selections of equipment for Air Handler Units, (Fans, Coils, Furnaces, Motors, Filters, and other minor equipment) for the delivery of the CFMs and temperature needed for HVAC applications in commercial buildings and rooms under special conditions of Temperature and humidity.

Assist the Marketing department in the generation on rendered photos and animations using Solidworks® for CHIL-PAK® products.

Designer (Dec/2006-Sep/2008)

Use AutoCAD to perform changes and updates to Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, Electrical and Control Drawings and Customer General Dimension Drawings, provided by the Design Engineer, the Electrical and Controls Department and the Project Manager to ensure the entire design team is working with the latest information coming from the equipment data sheets and customer requirements.

Use SolidWorks and AutoCAD in the design of Pipe Circuits and Structural Design for Commercial Chilled Water Packages (CHIL-PAK®) and Boiler Packages for HVAC applications in Schools, Hotels, Casinos, Hospitals and Industrial Facilities, receiving information and directions from the Design Engineer and Project Manager such as Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Equipment Data Sheets ensuring the system is designed following the costumer ASME, ANSI, IBC, OSHA and ASHRAE Standard codes.

Create shop drawings for the construction of Air Handler Units, CHIL-PAK® Packages and Boiler Packages including Piping and Structural fabrication details, assembly details for Piping Circuits, Base and Wall Frames.

Manager. Design of Air Handler Units from capacities up to 100,000 CFM using AutoCAD and

SolidWorks, creating 3D models, General Dimensions Drawings, Shop Drawings (Structural, Equipment Distribution, Sheet Metal and Assembly Instructions) as well as the generation of Bill of Materials for the Purchasing Department.

Assist the Marketing department in the generation on rendered photos and animations using Solidworks® for CHIL-PAK® products.

Draf ter (Nov/2005-Dec/2006)

Use AutoCAD to perform changes and updates to Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, Electrical and Control Drawings and Customer General Dimension Drawings, Fabrication and Assembly Drawings, provided by the Design Engineer, the Electrical and Controls Department and the Project Manager and the Manufacturing Department.
