Pequeños arañazos e imperfecciones siempre presentesen la piel de un animal, no pueden ni deben ser consideradosdefectos, sino una constatación de auténtica piel.

Estas imperfecciones son más visibles incluso en las pielesde mayor calidad, ya que generalmente son tratadas conun acabado poco o nada cubierto.

La piel es un material único, insustituible, los defectos quepueda tener son debidos a su origen, “la naturaleza”.

Especificaciones técnicas

- La piel está curtida al cromo y recurtida con sales decromo y taninos sintéticos excepto la referencia CAPRI,recurtida con taninos vegetales. El recurtido le confiere alas pieles cuerpo y elasticidad al mismo tiempo.

- Para el proceso de engrasado se utilizan aceites sintéticosy vegetales.

- La limpieza de la piel debe hacerse con agua y jabónneutro o productos aptos para la piel.

- Nuestras pieles no están entre las mencionadas en laConvención de Washington y no están tratadas con aceitesprocedentes de cetáceos.

Technical specifications

- The hides are tanned using chrome, and retanned withchrome salts and synthetic tannins, except CAPRI item,which is retanned with vegetable tannins. Retanning processincreases solidity and elasticity at the same time.

- For greasing process we use synthetic and vegetable oils.

- Leather cleaning should be done using neutral soap andwater or products suitable for leather.

- Our leather is not among those mentioned in theConvention of Washington and they have not been treatedwith cetacean oils.

Minor scars, imperfections and flaws are always presenton animal hides. These are not to be considered defectsbut distinctive characteristics that add uniqueness andvalue to real leather.

These imperfections are evident even on the best qualityhides. For this reason, Maxpell does not overly treat theirhides with finishes. This is done to secure the integrity andbeauty of the natural hide.

Leather is an unique and unreplaceable material, withpossible flaws deriving from its natural origin.
