Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy! Our life, oursweetness, and our hope! To thee do we cry,

poor banished children of Eve, to thee do wesend up our sighs, mourning and weeping in thisvalley of tears. Turn, then, most graciousadvocate thine eyes of mercy toward us; andafter this our exile show unto us the blessedfruit of thy womb Jesus; O clement, O loving, Osweet virgin Mary.

Pray for us, O holy Mother of God

That we may be made worthy of the promises ofChrist.

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle;be our safeguard against the wickedness andsnares of the devil. May God rebuke him, wehumbly pray: and do thou, O Prince of theheavenly host,by the power of God, bind into hell Satan and allthe evil spirits who prowl about the world seekingthe ruin of souls.
